OMG!!! Lol we got the same box with the same subs 😂😂. I got the ground shaker dual 8" box it's 1.36 cubic feet @37hz. But I'm running mine on the skar RP800.1DM ATM. I got the SKv2 2500 they will be on this week. But yeah they hit pretty ridiculous for 8"s 😂 they get stupid loud
I know you probably went to 12"s ect. but go with the Sundown SA 12"s instead of the P3 12"s iv had both and even a 15" P3 and SA 15" and Everytime the SA walked the p3. Now I also ended up buying the New Rockford T0 12" and it slammed I loved that sub but I paid 450 or 456 for it back in 2015. I still got it but no longer use it. I went to sundown X 10"s atm but I also got what u got here two SA v3 8"s well if u got the v3 series there is 4 diff SA 8"s you got the V1.5 V1.75 V2 and V3 series atm.. the v3 being the newest and loudest one. The SA 8" was the worlds loudest 8" for the longest time and still is one of the loudest hands down. The V1.5 done a 147.9 sealed meter on window and then 149.9 with driver door open.. the V2 done a 153 or 155 a single V2 8" on 3k wattage @1ohm. In a Honda crx.. the v3 series prob can pull off half a DB to a whole db louder then the V2 when it comes to raw power n spl builds.. there absolutely incredible 8" woofers. They are rated very low considering how good they are built. The v2 is 400 or 450 rms the V3 is 500 rms very very very conservatively lol. Jacob abused em in testing with 600% their rms power which is 3,000 watts n better. With no issues in a small 0.6 cubic ft box. Which is super small but best for them with spl. I got a 135.8 DB with one of my SAv3 8"s on a orion hcca 3500 mono block lol. Now I have no idea how much power that sub got but that amp on the dyno and there is youtube videos of it doing 8k @1ohm and that Sub is a dual 2 wired to 1ohm when I done that a few years back n I done it wide open. Box was to big anyway 1.25 cubic feet tuned 33hz in my 2010 VW CC TSI Turbo sport. Now I got the 2 and gonna prob use that same amp and got a few different custom boxes I bought off eBay and a few from down4SoundShop. For these SAv3 8"s and I also got 3 Xv3 8"s but Im putting them in my truck. My fiancee she has two 12" Sundown Zv5's on two skar 4500's and it's insanely loud but the build is clean she also has a car similar to mine hers is newer but it's a 2014 VW CC TSI Turbo sport. Mine is white hers is black. But yeah Sundown makes amazing Subs. The P3 series Rockfords are decent but the SA 12"s will absolutely walk them. But honestly there is really good subs out there that don't cost a arm n leg. You got CT Sounds and Resilient sounds. Which are amazing companies I like the CT Sounds Meso series subs and Resilient sounds Platinum subs are bad ass. But the resilient sounds Gold series 12"s are damn good n only 200 bucks a pop or around the same as the SA 12"s but the gold 12"s are meaner looking n have bigger motors. As for sound the SA 12"s get loud clean n good for everyday street banging. The p3 same but won't get as loud n can't handle nowhere near what the SA can. Remember the sundown subs are highly underrated.
They actually do both very well. I was looking for something with a little more umf so I upgraded to the SA 12's but I almost with I went with 3 of the SA 8's instead. I'm actually about to get 4 of the 6.5's. I'll do a video once I get them and install them.
Dust itoff I am debating between getting two SA-8s or SA-12s. I have a really nice sealed box for two 12s that I could use, which would save me money. But running two 8s is kinda different and they look mad cool. I currently have two Kicker L7 10” and a crappy prefab ported box and they sound terrible. Just not musical at all and no accuracy. Always like a step or two behind in bass. Would you recommend the 8s or the 12s? Another thing that sucks about my setup is my car’s rear seats don’t fold, and the trunk is heavily insulated (Mercedes s550) so it takes a bit of kick to get into the cabin. The L7s can get plenty loud, just zero accuracy. Edit: forgot to mention I have the same prime R1200-1D and love it. Great amplifier for the money.
For your car I'd recommend the 12s. I don't think the 8's are gonna give you what you're looking for. Put them in a nice sealed box, if you go with a ported box you'll lose some of the clarity, and it sounds like you want good musical sound.
Ive been looking for information also. They seem like they are made in the same manufacturing facility. Im tossing up between the x-8 and the american bass vfl
I have never been impressed by the build quality of any of the Skar amps I bought, so I actively avoid them now. I don't know if this translates to their subwoofers, but I'd rather spend the extra $ on stuff that will last. I have had kicker (mono amp and subs), CT Sounds (amps), Sundown (amps and subs), and Sounqubed (subs) products that I have passed down to family/friends over the last ~6 years and they are all still going, none of the skar stuff made it very long.
Im limited with what i can do in my 19’ titan. I had considered 2-10” kicker comp q L7 to replace my jl w3, but man i just dont know, if anything will be better than the w3

SA12’s over the P3’s for sure. Nice setup. I started on 2 SA 10’s. Been with Sundown since. Now I have a ZV5 15 on 4K.
How many watts are those subs

Reverse your punch amps, sub amp on mids and mid amp on subs
Did you ever get a custom box done for these 8’s at least and give them a chance to show their true potential?
I'm putting 1 SA V3 IN MY CAR ON A 1500 WATT MONOBLOCK PORTED BOX SHOULD I PUT A EPICENTER ON ONE 8 INCH.
Thanks. I actually just got 2 sundown audio sa 12s in a custom built box. A video of it is on the way.
Dope setup stick with sundown
Nice I love sundown I love nf music what song I like to listen to that hits hard is Lecrae hammer time is a real good song to. Nice job on your system
Is the sound quality good from the SA-8s? Musical or just “bump”.

I know what I'm doing with part of my tax return this year lol.
nice setup. Get the Skar audio Evl 12's, that would be perfect for that size car......................
What are better these 2 sa 8 or 2 skar zvx 8
