These subs came back as a return and i think i heard someone in the office say they didn't fit the customers box. These 8's are beefy! They were packed loosely and had foam all over them. One was upside down in it's box. So i took them out for testing. Seems like they are still working well! All i need to do now is figure out a good way to give them away. Setting those drivers on a foam pad is a really bad idea it will shut of the air flow through the port on the back plate and cause the coils to over heat very fast! Furthermore the air pressure in a box is a part of the suspension by adding force resistance on the back side of the cone, without this the cone will over extrude likely to damage the spider. I would recommend using a box any box even the wrong size or type. If you must do this method of testing then lay the driver on it's side and limit the power to 30-50% never use full power on a driver unmounted or block off the air flow through the ports.

They are almost identical to the Dark Audio NKO 8" subs that Sundown bought out the Dark Audio and just changed what is written on them, I have four of them all 8" NKO 4ohm DVC WHICH I WOULD WIRE THEM Parallel/Series then Series again to .5ohms. Audiopipe APCLE 1800.1D delivered a whopping 2167Watts RMS Dark Audio were WAY underrated for their subs.
