Willy wonka 3 liters can make sense if they were to make the kids as funko soda’s. Then the 3 liters can be displayed with the kids and make it look a little more realistic as a height difference ( Willy being an adult compared to the kids). It would also make a whole new set or even cooler. The commons can be the regular kids as they look before entering the factory and the chase can be done to make them look like they are after their “accident “ in the factory!

My number one complaint is that the sodas crush the pop boxes in the special event boxes, like the Fright Night boxes. With as much as they charge for those boxes, they should learn how to protect the items in it a bit better. Yeah, taking away the piece counts will hurt them, especially with price increases. I'd love to see them give Satan from South Park a 3 Litre soda.
A lot of great points. Last year didn't help that 35% of the sodas released were the unnumbered sodas. Hopefully funko figures out what they are doing next, this year I wouldn't mind only have con and exclusive sodas. That would really spread them out through out the year and make it much easier to hunt for the older sodas. I think a soda I would like to see would be a Han Solo with the chase being Han Solo in stormtrooper outfit and do it as an con soda with Luke also have the stormtrooper outfit as a chase.
I worry about this. I don't really mind about the limited aspect, I enjoy the full sets that are released, but the retail exclusives just aren't arriving anymore... ie. Walmart Exclusives... which make them feel rare. Totally agree on a lot of stuff. The only problem that I have on limiting the piece count of sodas to a very low number is it will be hard to find them here in Canada. I also don’t agree on having international sodas so they should have a count where everyone in the world should be able to enjoy them and have access to them.
There should definitely be only one count total per soda. Funko needs to figure out a way to ship to Canada so when they drop something on the website, more collectors have a shot at getting it
Agree, 10000 is more than enough for a soda limit. I think Funko should make more low piece sodas, like 3000 piece sodas. Every soda should have chases. I would love to them finish up some lines like Kiss. As much as I’m not a fan of the 3L sodas need a krang 3L and the chase could black light, glow, or even metallic. Also metal head regular soda with a metallic chase. Those would be ones I got to have! On some sodas I could see piece count up to 12,000 but not many.
I agree but I think you missed a point. Funko has 2 licenses that they have not touched in soda form. Dragonball Z & One Piece. That would bring collectors that aren’t buying soda’s.
That could possibly bring in more buyers for sure. But I think they need to fundamentally change things across the board for all themes of sodas too. Could definitely see some crazy hype for a One Piece Cooler

Hey Guys, great video. I definitely agree with you about always having a chase and also how you said bigger characters should be in the 3 liters. Like, I think Clifford would be awesome as a 3 liter and make the chase flocked with his owner (Emily) or a Kong, Godzilla and especially a Voltron.
First off, loved this video! I love that Maui 3 liter I will definitely add the common to collection whenever it comes out. I totally agree with the 10,000 count sodas and I want them to make more Care Bears, maybe a hello kitty (one that hasn’t been made into pop form) and a Sanrio cooler because there’s quiet a few characters they could choose from. I would like to see an Anakin soda. Maybe him when he’s good and then him with his hood up and eyes glowing as the chase when he’s turning to the dark side.
Fantastic 4 Cooler, Human Torch with Glow Chase, Invisible Woman with Translucent Chase, The Thing and his Chase is his human form, Mr. Fantastic with the Chase is him in lab attire or with some tech/weapon, Silver Surfer with a Metallic Chase, and maaaaybe an Alicia Masters soda or Herbie.
I’ve cut back on Funko products all together lately … Pops and soda. Well, except maybe Star Wars. My wants have been a little out of control lately with Star Wars. 😅. I did pick up the Tails soda. It’s so cute. It’ll be interesting to see where Funko heads this year. Great video!

Funny enough, I started collecting a few Soda’s later in the year last year because I thought the ATSV Soda’s were cool! Sad to say though that they weren’t numbered/LE 😢. Really hope they continue making Soda’s, but at a significantly lower quantity, with each Soda having a a chance at a Chase variant. Also, they need to make a reason for people to want the Common mold, too!
International isn’t dead because of lack of demand. They upped the prices ridiculously pricing collectors out of the game. Some countries like Australia now charge upwards of $40/can. How is a retailer supposed to make money on that?
I am a little bummed out by the Soda situation. I also think they are not going away though. I like that unnumbered seems to be ending and I like that international ones seem to be ending too. That always sore of messed up the count to me. If someone asked or saw a can and you would explain that there is actually more chases. I do like keeping some money in wallet and focusing on some others we missed. We just picked up the Freddy Vader Soda. Hope to get the flocked Snagglepuss this year too. I would love to see a Loki Soda other than the What If one that dropped. His common/chase could be an easy with/without his helmet much like many of the other Marvel chases. Another one that missed the mark for me is Nick Fury from The Marvels. Really wish they did an OG Nick Fury in his black leather duster. His Chase could’ve been without the duster but still in his old combat gear, not a turtleneck.
Ill be honest, Funko Soda really fell off for me when they started the non numbered piece count. I refuse to buy any soda that doesnt have a piece count regardless if its a character I like.
I’m very cautious in the soda future since I love them but the price hike has it hard. I bought 3 sodas in december & will be more selective for future purchases. Also, unnumbered sodas should stop
Love the sodas. I'm angry that they changed, that in the coolers, chases are no longer guaranteed. Thinking of selling pops that I may have a duplicate of, except if my duplicate was a prize.
i would be ok with a 12000 piece limit, since that would be 10k common and 2k chase price needs to drop back to 15 for cans 35 for 3L. i think 100 for a cooler is fair they do different mold of the freddys in the boxes anyway, just make 2 commons and the lower piece counts the chase id love to see a bigfoot 3L with a flocked chase and the marshmallow stick added
Oh man a 3 liter Big foot would be fantastic! And I agree, 12k is a good number. I hope they lower the price of sodas again too, it would def prevent them from having to do a lot of sales
I collected sodas mainly because of the limited piece count. My collection started to dwindle when Funko began mass producing sodas. Sold almost all of my collection with the exception of OG TMNT and Freddy chases. Hopefully, Funko will address all of the problems you’ve stated. Great informative video, btw. 🙂
I love Funko sodas , but sadly in Australia they are becoming unaffordable at $35 a piece.( new sodas are $35 , while the older, if you can still find some are $24 to $29 a piece ). 😭😭

It definitely feels like sodas have slowing way down. It would be super disappointing if Funko just stops making them all together. I get what you’re saying about the sodas with no piece counts and no chases, but even most of those sodas are amazing. I would love to see any member of the bad batch get a soda, or even a whole six pack cooler.
Bad Batch Cooler would be legendary, especially with season 3 dropping next month. If they end the product line, which I doubt, thousands of collectors would be sad/upset which would just mean a lot of lost revenue for the company.
I never get that limited numbers are so important., Say they make tens of soda's that are limited to 1.000 or 2.000 pieces. I will have have a hard time collecting these and maybe will have to pay a lot of money for them. I just like the soda's and the easier I can get them the better. People who want to make money out of them will be disappointed I guess when there is no piece count. But that's not what collecting is about for me. There are two things that do annoy me when it comes to soda's: 1. Why make 25 Freddy Funko's at Halloween with 5 or 6 different molds. It's just too much... 2. There are so many interesting characters to choose from, why make 7 Jack Skellingtons? Just one soda for a character is enough.
We will see if they give up the production of Sodas. I suspected this some months back when they introduced the rewinds. Because the format is too similar to Sodas. They probably wanted to make a cheaper product to replace Sodas. For me I never felt Sodas were that big, but then again I’m in Europe. Back then when I brought this up I was told that this was very unlikely since in the US Sodas are popular. Time will tell!
If they replace sodas with rewinds they’re going to lose a lot of customers and business. Even if it costs more to produce the sodas compared to the rewinds, it would be a huge mistake for them to discontinue such a great product
I of course collect pops and sodas,but find myself more drawn torward sodas. Also i think, they have so many endless opportunities and possibilities! Especially when it comes to the Soda coolers. They really should take the 3 liters, and focus that line on bigger Chacters, So much more they can do with, sodas! I dont think they are going anywhere anytime soon.
Where do I find sodas in stores. Everywhere I go there all Opened or there’s none in stock. Only place that I find them is at FYE because they keep them behind the counter. I need help

I would love to see a Bruce Lee soda. Maybe a yellow suit common with an Enter The Dragon with scratches Chase?
Yep it’s definitely not dead arguable funkos 2nd most successful product. As you said for some it’s now there main collection. Not going anywhere, implement a few changes suggested and you have the excitement back the product initially around when the product first dropped
You contradicted yourself. You said that the 3 liter Sodas should only be of characters that make sense, and I agree, but you're also anxiously waiting for the 3 liter Soda Freddy. The Sodas have quickly become my favorite Funko product. I'm buying about 20 Sodas for every 1 Pop and I might not have bought any Pops last year if it weren't for the new Power Rangers 30th Anniversary series. I agree with everything you said. Every Soda should have a Chase and if Funko doesn't make a Chase, the common should be very limited and look amazing, not the painted Freddy that came in the Box of Fun and Box of Fright. My only other suggestion is for Funko to do the Coolers differently. It makes it nearly impossible to get all 6 Chase options. I think the Coolers should be a base set of 6 commons with the incentive of getting the limited edition Lounge Fly bag and one of the Sodas exclusive to that set. Then Funko should sell the same 5 Sodas individually with a possible Chase.
Very true! I did contradict myself, but that’s only because I’m a massive Freddy Funko fan. Glad to hear that you’re enjoying collecting the sodas so much. Unfortunately I think if Funko sold the sodas individually alongside a corresponding cooler, there would be no incentive to buy the cooler. Everyone would just buy the individual characters. We see it with how quickly people ask to buy our extra sodas from coolers after we open them in videos.
@@Slapshotpops I was just joking about the Freddy 3 Liter Soda. I would want one too even though I haven't gotten into the 3 Liters yet. I didn't explain my cooler suggestion in full detail. Offer the coolers where all 6 Sodas are commons but one of the Sodas is exclusive to the cooler. The limited edition Loungefly bag with the $100 price point should still be enough incentive for collectors to be interested. I mean, even 6 Sodas alone for $100 is just over $16 a Soda - throw in the bag with free shipping and that's a great deal. But the bag and exclusive Soda would be limited to maybe 8000 pieces, but the other 5 base Sodas would maybe be 12,000 pieces to include singles you can buy separately. Or, make it where the same Soda in the cooler has the possibility of a Chase, so that you would only have to purchase 2 coolers to get both versions.
I definitely hope that Funko is just taking a step back and reevaluating the Soda line! We love collecting them so much and Keeton especially loves going after those chases!! They 1000000% need to lower the counts and go back to all sodas having a piece count and they all need chases!! I miss collecting Funko, especially the sodas, but it just became overwhelming. I think they need to put more thought into the soda chases. How many times have we saw a chase and thought it was lazy? Not eliminate but cut back for sure.
I have decided to buy only the sodas I want to add to my small soda collection. I was very excited with the Trails soda. Knowing my luck I decided to buy the chase at the secondary market. I hope Funko doesn’t stop creating sodas. I would love to see the Toy Story characters, The Beauty and the Beast or the Disney Princesses in soda form. I only own 2 3Lt sodas the first one Iron Robot and Maleficent. Both are common still very cool. I would love to see Rex from Toy Story as a 3Lt soda with the chase him wearing the clear astronaut like helmet. If Funko do make 3Lt Freddy Funko is one I will go after. I know is going to be hard to get for his popularity.😁🌹🌹🌸💐

Another great video. Love the breakdown and totally agree with the suggestions you had for Funko. Definitely the piece count. Cons should be 5k. Also chases needed for all and w different molds and variations from their common counterparts. I really wish they'd start the One Piece line, maybe start with Chopper and have the chase be a slightly modified mold that's flocked. I reorganize every weekend lol.
I think that instead of the no piece count sodas, going back to the limited piece counts. Funko needs to stop pumping out so many, and focus on the quality. Thats just my opinion, love sodas and the pops😊😊😊 fabulous video, thanks for the information

I'm not sure if there is a character I would as a soda other than maybe Rayman? - Right now I would love to get the upcoming avatar the last airbender Aang soda chase. It is the first soda that I actually like and since I'm not into funko soda's that's saying a lot. But for the price tag and finding the actual chase... I don't know, tough decision. The other option would be the secondary market. But I'm afraid that might still cost quite a bit. P.s. Talking about the cooler ofc

soda is nice, i got collect some and also waiting few like Marty Mcfly. 1) Marty with guitar, that still in funko website and show notify me. 2) Marty with Funko Fair 2023 event, last time order from Sure Thing Toys and blue soda, until today, the soda still not yet arrived. Then i bought from Popcultcha and get orange soda with 1 common 1 chase.

Funko sodas look so weird to me but the cans are nice. I only have sonic and tails because they actually look like them unlike their pop versions lol its hilarious. But sodas are pricey compare to pops so i see the latter lasting longer. Im also content with the commons cause a chase would just itch me to sell and i love sonic too much lol

My local pop store said a month ago that Funko is discontinuing sodas and replacing them with the VHS tapes.
If they do end up doing that, it’ll be one of the worst decisions they could make as a company.

Love the sodas. I'm angry that they changed, that in the coolers, chases are no longer guaranteed. Thinking of selling pops that I may have a duplicate of, except if my duplicate was a prize.
i would be ok with a 12000 piece limit, since that would be 10k common and 2k chase
price needs to drop back to 15 for cans 35 for 3L. i think 100 for a cooler is fair
they do different mold of the freddys in the boxes anyway, just make 2 commons and the lower piece counts the chase

The Funko Co. reminds me of the decline of the McFarlane Figure Company.
I think McFarlane is still around, but they partnered with another company. I actually collected a lot of their figures back in the day.

I collected sodas mainly because of the limited piece count. My collection started to dwindle when Funko began mass producing sodas. Sold almost all of my collection with the exception of OG TMNT and Freddy chases. Hopefully, Funko will address all of the problems you’ve stated. Great informative video, btw. 🙂
I love Funko sodas , but sadly in Australia they are becoming unaffordable at $35 a piece.( new sodas are $35 , while the older, if you can still find some are $24 to $29 a piece ). 😭😭

Great video, nicely put and well thought out. Not a fan of sodas, but certainly understand their popularity. Totally agree re: limited numbers and need for chases. A 3L General Grievous (nicely detailed of course) would be cool. Limbs down for common and raised for chase. Thanks for sharing.

It definitely feels like sodas have slowing way down. It would be super disappointing if Funko just stops making them all together. I get what you’re saying about the sodas with no piece counts and no chases, but even most of those sodas are amazing. I would love to see any member of the bad batch get a soda, or even a whole six pack cooler.
Bad Batch Cooler would be legendary, especially with season 3 dropping next month. If they end the product line, which I doubt, thousands of collectors would be sad/upset which would just mean a lot of lost revenue for the company.

I never get that limited numbers are so important., Say they make tens of soda's that are limited to 1.000 or 2.000 pieces. I will have have a hard time collecting these and maybe will have to pay a lot of money for them. I just like the soda's and the easier I can get them the better. People who want to make money out of them will be disappointed I guess when there is no piece count. But that's not what collecting is about for me. There are two things that do annoy me when it comes to soda's:
1. Why make 25 Freddy Funko's at Halloween with 5 or 6 different molds. It's just too much...
2. There are so many interesting characters to choose from, why make 7 Jack Skellingtons? Just one soda for a character is enough.

We will see if they give up the production of Sodas. I suspected this some months back when they introduced the rewinds. Because the format is too similar to Sodas. They probably wanted to make a cheaper product to replace Sodas. For me I never felt Sodas were that big, but then again I’m in Europe. Back then when I brought this up I was told that this was very unlikely since in the US Sodas are popular. Time will tell!
If they replace sodas with rewinds they’re going to lose a lot of customers and business. Even if it costs more to produce the sodas compared to the rewinds, it would be a huge mistake for them to discontinue such a great product

I of course collect pops and sodas,but find myself more drawn torward sodas. Also i think, they have so many endless opportunities and possibilities! Especially when it comes to the Soda coolers. They really should take the 3 liters, and focus that line on bigger Chacters, So much more they can do with, sodas! I dont think they are going anywhere anytime soon.

Yep it’s definitely not dead arguable funkos 2nd most successful product. As you said for some it’s now there main collection. Not going anywhere, implement a few changes suggested and you have the excitement back the product initially around when the product first dropped

You contradicted yourself. You said that the 3 liter Sodas should only be of characters that make sense, and I agree, but you're also anxiously waiting for the 3 liter Soda Freddy.
The Sodas have quickly become my favorite Funko product. I'm buying about 20 Sodas for every 1 Pop and I might not have bought any Pops last year if it weren't for the new Power Rangers 30th Anniversary series.
I agree with everything you said. Every Soda should have a Chase and if Funko doesn't make a Chase, the common should be very limited and look amazing, not the painted Freddy that came in the Box of Fun and Box of Fright. My only other suggestion is for Funko to do the Coolers differently. It makes it nearly impossible to get all 6 Chase options. I think the Coolers should be a base set of 6 commons with the incentive of getting the limited edition Lounge Fly bag and one of the Sodas exclusive to that set. Then Funko should sell the same 5 Sodas individually with a possible Chase.

Unfortunately I think if Funko sold the sodas individually alongside a corresponding cooler, there would be no incentive to buy the cooler. Everyone would just buy the individual characters. We see it with how quickly people ask to buy our extra sodas from coolers after we open them in videos.

I didn't explain my cooler suggestion in full detail. Offer the coolers where all 6 Sodas are commons but one of the Sodas is exclusive to the cooler. The limited edition Loungefly bag with the $100 price point should still be enough incentive for collectors to be interested. I mean, even 6 Sodas alone for $100 is just over $16 a Soda - throw in the bag with free shipping and that's a great deal. But the bag and exclusive Soda would be limited to maybe 8000 pieces, but the other 5 base Sodas would maybe be 12,000 pieces to include singles you can buy separately. Or, make it where the same Soda in the cooler has the possibility of a Chase, so that you would only have to purchase 2 coolers to get both versions.
Funko will be done this year .. There products end up at discounters, dollar stores and the dump.. stock price is tanking

I definitely hope that Funko is just taking a step back and reevaluating the Soda line! We love collecting them so much and Keeton especially loves going after those chases!! They 1000000% need to lower the counts and go back to all sodas having a piece count and they all need chases!! We just got 2 of the Tails sodas at our GameStop so fingers crossed we get that chase!!! Great video and loved hearing your insight!

I miss collecting Funko, especially the sodas, but it just became overwhelming. I think they need to put more thought into the soda chases. How many times have we saw a chase and thought it was lazy? Not eliminate but cut back for sure.

I have decided to buy only the sodas I want to add to my small soda collection. I was very excited with the Trails soda. Knowing my luck I decided to buy the chase at the secondary market. I hope Funko doesn’t stop creating sodas. I would love to see the Toy Story characters, The Beauty and the Beast or the Disney Princesses in soda form. I only own 2 3Lt sodas the first one Iron Robot and Maleficent. Both are common still very cool. I would love to see Rex from Toy Story as a 3Lt soda with the chase him wearing the clear astronaut like helmet. If Funko do make 3Lt Freddy Funko is one I will go after. I know is going to be hard to get for his popularity.😁🌹🌹🌸💐

Another great video. Love the breakdown and totally agree with the suggestions you had for Funko. Definitely the piece count. Cons should be 5k. Also chases needed for all and w different molds and variations from their common counterparts. I really wish they'd start the One Piece line, maybe start with Chopper and have the chase be a slightly modified mold that's flocked. I reorganize every weekend lol.

I think that instead of the no piece count sodas, going back to the limited piece counts. Funko needs to stop pumping out so many, and focus on the quality. Thats just my opinion, love sodas and the pops😊😊😊 fabulous video, thanks for the information

I'm not sure if there is a character I would as a soda other than maybe Rayman? - Right now I would love to get the upcoming avatar the last airbender Aang soda chase. It is the first soda that I actually like and since I'm not into funko soda's that's saying a lot. But for the price tag and finding the actual chase... I don't know, tough decision. The other option would be the secondary market. But I'm afraid that might still cost quite a bit.

Funko sodas look so weird to me but the cans are nice. I only have sonic and tails because they actually look like them unlike their pop versions lol its hilarious. But sodas are pricey compare to pops so i see the latter lasting longer. Im also content with the commons cause a chase would just itch me to sell and i love sonic too much lol
