Thanks for going into the stores and telling me what I should buy and why I should buy them. I live north of Philadelphia in Pennsylvania and we have 2 Aldi's now and I have not seen grass fed milk in either store for some time now. Is there another milk that you approve? Most people are not aware, but the great majority of Aldi’s products are made by the top food manufacturers/brands with an Aldi label on it. This means that you’re getting the same products as the name brands at a discounted price. So they’re not just “knocking off” the products. One reason they can do this is that Aldi is a cash only business and the manufacturer doesn’t have to send invoices, chase payments, etc. Aldi also buys in such huge quantities (worldwide), that they are getting discounts for that. Another factor is that there is very little advertising on the part of Aldi, so that cost is not passed to the consumer. Do yourself a favor, and save some money by shopping first at Aldi… after that you can get the kitchen/pantry items Aldi doesn’t have at another source.
Bobby, Thanks for the tips! I've been shopping exclusively at Walmart for grocery pickup at one store, but now that I'm feeling more comfortable going out, I want to check out Aldi again. I have had their Keto bread and it was terrible, so I'm going to try their sprout bread again because it's so much less expensive than Ezekiel Bread at Walmart. I have been transforming to a healthier diet a little bit at a time, focusing on low carb to help mitigate my arthritis pain. It's working and I've lost about 20 lbs. Your videos are making the food research SO much easier!!! I have grandchildren and hope to influence their food choices so that they will not have weight, hormone and other issues when they grow up. By the way, physical health impacts MENTAL health, which is at crisis proportions these days.
Unfortunately some of the items you mentioned, like the chickpea pasta, were not available at my Aldi when I went a few hours ago. However, the chocolate coconut crisps!! YES!! They will be replacing my occasional cheat of Kit Kats!
I really appreciate your videos because you present the information in such an approachable way. Not preachy or condescending. I was recently diagnosed diabetic and am committed to changing my lifestyle so your content has been helpful in ways I can’t describe.
Bobby thanks for ur awesome app and for sharing ur precious baby Rose with us. Every morning I have to find a Rose short video to send to my 2.5 year old grandson to watch. It is one of the reasons my daughter feeds her family more healthy lifestyle meals. And she now uses ur app also. Thank you 🙏🏼
Love this guy. I'm interested in the continuous blood glucose monitor test he's talking about? I think a true test would be from a Type 1 diabetic because their pancreas is in complete failure where as Bobby's is still functional I believe. So when he talks about glucose spike it's not a true representation of what could possibly happen to a diabetic when consuming the same carbs.

I really appreciate the Aldi reviews because I do 90 percent of my shopping there. I love them, especially the enormous amount of money I save on basics. Just tried the Keto ice cream and was pleasantly surprised. I used to buy Kerry Gold, so I will try to Aldi version. The sprouted grain bread is also very good, chewy, hardy, filling.

Pasture-raised eggs are the healthiest for you at the supermarket but I always buy the pasture-raised eggs at the farmers markets. They also taste better than the commercially available ones.
Labeling practices on eggs can be very misleading. If there is any way you can get farm eggs that are truly free range/pasture raised, it is worth a drive! I get the most fantastic eggs from chickens that are never supplemented with grain feeds. They eat only what they scratch and dig for out in the field. The yolks are the brightest orange you’ve ever seen! The best part for me, is that I only pay three dollars per dozen, so all in all, they are far superior than anything in the store. A farmers market is a second option, of course. Another benefit to eggs from the farm is that you can request that they are not water washed before you get them. This allows you to store them at room temperature because the inherent seal/film is still intact. When eggs are required to be refrigerated, it means that Nature’s protective layer is washed off. I wash mine as I need them, and they’re not really all that dirty in the first place. My “farmer” does a dry clean with a rag to get the most mucky stuff off and keep the seal on.
@@kimjohnson7469 Free range eggs are not the same as pasture-raised eggs. Free range only means they are not in a cage and they should still absolutely be avoided. Organic eggs just means their feed is organic. They are still kept in a barn with limited access to go outside. Pasture raised eggs means they live outdoors. Pasture raised hens scratch and dig the ground for their food of bugs, grub, and grass. I wouldn't drive anywhere for free range or organic-fed eggs.
@@denizalgazi I know. That is why I said that labeling practices are deceiving… I just didn’t want to go into the whole scenario. Dear Bobby if you can get grass fed butter from Costco, because at Costco you can get 4 packs of truly %95 grass fed butter, plus you can save 5 dollars in comparison to Aldi's grass fed butter.
1) My experience with the Aldi grass-fed butter is in making a large amount of brown butter for Alvin Zhou's 100 hour brownies...and it simply would not brown completely. I think it has a higher water content than Kerrygold...now I buy Kerrygold in bulk at Costco when it goes on sale and freeze it. 2) The Aldi keto bread is like eating sawdust and water. It's awful. 3) The Aldi Halo-Top equivalent is similarly awful. I know they aren't keto, but if you have a Lidl nearby, they have the Gelatelli mini-ice cream bars for 123 calories each. I'd rather eat less of something that's really good and satisfies.

Here in Munich, Germany, I buy both the Aldi Irish butter and Kerrygold, which is still available. I don't have to worry about GMO as they are illegal in the EU. I will watch your Aldi and Lidl visits. Wishing you and your family all the best in the new year. I buy almost everything organic because the cost is only slightly higher than non-organic and almost all products here have an organic alternative.

Chickpea pasta is so awesome. I love knowing I can eat pasta without dumping empty calories into my body. Definitely worth it! I never buy the old stuff anymore and never will!
The hot dogs contain powdered celery juice. That is a sneaky way to add nitrites. Although it is from a "natural" source, that does not make it healthy.
Thanks so much. I just learned that hydrolyzed oats have a free form of glutamate. Same goes for peptides collagens. So sad. many in my family are Highly sensitive. The good thing. Now they now where the migraines are coming from.
I live in the UK and I've just started shopping at Aldi from my previous supermarket. I save over £40 per month at Aldi compared to where I used to shop.
Bobby, so glad I came across your videos. Now I have a reason to shop Aldis. With food allergies /gluten and trying to get back to keto when I felt soooo good...you are a blessing. Your information is a plus for me and my family and I'm sure you are helping Aldi's business as well. Never used to shop there but no more, they are now on my list as a go to grocery. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone!
We buy the grass-fed beef burger and pasture raised eggs all the time! Their chicken (without chemicals) is also consistently good! Also the best saurkraut!
@@jennifercole7872 Thanks for the tip and directions! I’m getting some to try in a couple of weeks even though I just had some New Year’s Day for luck!
@Maria Kamacho Ghee is clarified butter. All the milk solids and water are taken out. I use it for sautéing and for frying eggs. It has a high smoke point. You can use it on vegetables, toast…. anything you want really. I love it !! But find a good brand that’s organic. It lasts a long time in the pantry and needs no refrigeration.
Can you please do a video about diabetes, glucose monitor, complex carbohydrates? All these topics are hot topics and we would like more info in depth. Plus your own experience is amazing. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us! 💞🌼💞🌼💞🌼
The Aldi Organic Tomato & Basil sauce is honestly not very good. Rao's has by far superior flavor and in my opinion better ingredients too. Just throwing that out there. Have never found a better tasting marinara sauce than Rao's... unless you grow and can your own tomatoes, then use that to make your own pasta sauce.
I prefer their organic marinara but the tomato basil isn’t bad imo. There was a Reddit thread about Aldi’s other marinara (the one with the black lid) actually being the exact same as Rao’s.
Rao's is @$10 a jar that's a lot for most people when a family can cook a whole meal for that amount. We are shopping at Aldi not Whole Foods or Macy's cellar.
Thank you Bobby for all the work that you put into this you are truly a blessing to so many of us… I pray for Gods blessings on you this year and your beautiful family😊
For those of us who are visually impaired, it would be very helpful if you would name each item so that we can find it and shop for healthier items in the store as well, please. For instance, the hotdogs and the butter were not as easy for me to find because I didn’t know exactly which brand or item name to search for just to give a couple examples. Thank you so much for these videos!
The bars are another example. I don’t know the brand to look them up, because I am not able to see the package if it is shown due to my visual impairment.
I developed severe psoriasis after eating a pint of halo top ice cream for dinner for a few nights in a row. (Yes it is not the healthiest of diets ha ha). This has made me very leery of erythritol. It is a sugar alcohol that is known to cause digestive issues. Bobby, please do so more investigation on erythritol!
Love the Aldi grass fed butter! You’re right; grass fed butter has much better flavor. And you can tell it’s nutritionally superior by the color. It has a deeper yellow, just like fresh free range eggs do.
Thank you Bobby for making a video and explaining what's good and what's not good but I'm going to agree with you coconut cashew cookies are delicious I've had them... of course I like anything with coconut in it.. have a great day everybody
Bobby please make a video on healthy foods for teenagers, facial products for teenagers, sanitary towels , vitamins etc. Teenagers struggle with acne and most dermatologists give them stuff that irritate their skin for lengthy periods of time. They use topical treatments that don't help and they switch from product to product. Please help teenagers
Butter only recommendation I like. I believe people should go and shop at supermarkets. Learn how to pick good produce on your own. Learn to weigh your products. Cost and tax. Learn best buys. I work packing food and shipping to people. Fruit is very ripe lasts 1 or 2 days. Expiration dates are within days. We put you on a weekly to move the stuff out fast. Have someone shop for your food instead.

Thank you for all the helpful nutrition information, thank you for making eating healthy easier. God bless you and yours!
So glad I can find the pre-cooked organic Grains, at ALDI. I used to find it my local grocery, but now they don't carry it. It is so easy and delicious.
I just bought the keto cookies last week and they’re really good. The other thing is that I haven’t seen the grass fed milk lately, but I’ve been buying the maple hill sugar free milk at Publix and I really like it. It taste delicious and is no carbs and 100 calories per cup.
I came across an article the other day that said "sprouted" bread doesn't always mean its more nutritious than whole grain. Says that sprouting breaks down enzymes that break down nutrients to make them easier to digest and absorb but the nutritional boost is pretty insignificant? I am curious on what your thoughts are? What are some options for dairy free butter? I just started following you and your videos are very informative!!!!
This channel has been so helpful understanding the ingredients list. In the past, it sometimes felt like trying to read another language lol I wish I had found it earlier as I just purchased yesterday a huge pack of the “wrong” type of sea salt 😣 Anyhow, I love ALDIs and shop there regularly now, so this is a perfect video! Just got their Irish butter this week to try. Edit: I like how I got an Aldi ad while watching this 😆
I’m seriously hoping one day Aldi will get smart and collab with you and have “Bobby approved” signage up in their stores! You’re the reason I started shopping there exclusively. They sadly stopped carrying grass fed milk here in Southern California back in 2019/early 2020.
The Aldi in Michigan has not been carrying the grass fed milk. It was right after I begin following you about a year ago. I would say about three months after I stopped seeing it offered in any of the Aldi stores.
Grassfed milk at Aldi?! I’ve never seen it but I will definitely be on the lookout for it! I’ve been hoping for a clean, organic soymilk from them too.
@@LeeAnneGI get your point but cows are fed differently depending on the breed. Dairy cows eat differently from beef cows. Some cows graze on green grass, some on hay etc. Whatever they produce DEPENDS on the quality of food they eat. Same applies to chicken

Aldi- great in theory. When you go there in practice they are out of half the items, and don’t have some of the better ones that Bobby highlights. It’s not in my main rotation of stores, though still fun to check out from time to time, and yeah maybe you can get lucky and they actually have the good items!
Thanks Bobby! BTW - if anyone has a Lidl store nearby, their price on grass-fed ground beef is very similar to ALDI. They had that 3pk on sale this week too. As well as grass-fed ribeye! So go stock your freezer! Another nifty find this week was organic puffed quinoa! $1.99 for a 4.4 oz bag. Nothing but quinoa in it! I bought 4 bags in case it is a one off. I intend to try including the puffs in homemade granola bars. Ought to be a great protein booster. Note that there was also puffed amaranth.
Thanks for doing an Aldi video! I have one about one mile from me. They had all but 2 items that were on my list. Should have watched this before I went to see the keto snacks and ice cream ! Thanks for the heads up on the avocado oil not being pure.
found a new good pasta sauce at Walmart. It is Prego Farmers Market. Ingredients:Diced Tomatoes In Tomato Juice, Tomato Puree (Water, Tomato Paste), Olive Oil, Onions, Garlic, Contains Less Than 1% Of: Salt, Basil, Citric Acid, Black Pepper, Oregano. Also found frozen spaghetti squash, only ingredient is squash also at Walmart
I'm glad you mentioned that they're different. I haven't been there in over five years because it just seemed like a no frills Trader Joe's with lower quality items.
I think I would do pretty well as a diabetic, no insult or making fun of anything, I'm hypoglycemic myself, so I can relate to the struggle of having to regulate blood sugar. I don't eat enough of it, or at least my body seems to think so. I don't know to much about it beyond I think its genetic, as my mother, and grandmother both have this condition as well. You're thinner than me for sure, I'm 200 but 6'2 and while I'm overweight I think I could be worse. Hypoglycemia doesn't bother me all that much, I've learned from experience to tell in advance when my blood sugar is starting to drop. I just get this super light weight feeling, like I way next to nothing, while also being exhausted/weak at the same time. My hands will shake (I don't notice until I see it), and I just feel slightly dizzy which eventually turns into confusion, followed by passing out if I don't address it. Some times I also feel very sleepy/groggy as if I just woke up in the middle of the night. As someone who doesn't eat enough sugar though, I think diabetes would suit me personally more than hypoglycemia if I could choose.
So annoyed ALDI does not carry the green brick butter in Wisconsin (only the kind mixed with the oil). It tastes so much better. I hope they finally bring it back again.

So much good information, it's videos like this that will change the way people shop & put pressure on companies to source better ingredients.
TRUE
Yes. The only problem is once these better ingredients are in higher demand, how will these fraudulent companies ruin them and change them up.
So cool! I’m in Chicago too and I get overwhelmed at the grocery stores shopping for “healthy” foods for my family 😩 these videos are so helpful, thank you so much ❤️
Bobby, I love your videos! They are so helpful. Thank you for what you do!
Chickpea pasta is so awesome. I love knowing I can eat pasta without dumping empty calories into my body. Definitely worth it! I never buy the old stuff anymore and never will!
Indeed he makes it extremely easy and clear to make the transition to healthier eating. Never going back.
And they have gluten-free crackers that I love!
We buy the grass-fed beef burger and pasture raised eggs all the time! Their chicken (without chemicals) is also consistently good! Also the best saurkraut!
Is that the Kirkland chicken??
I never got sauerkraut there. Is it in a jar or can and is it seasonal or a year round product? Thanks! I’m very curious
@@jeweldenile8995 the sauerkraut is in a jar. It is the best. I don’t think it is seasonal. At my Aldi, it is by the canned beans.
@@jennifercole7872
Thanks for the tip and directions! I’m getting some to try in a couple of weeks even though I just had some New Year’s Day for luck!
True about the butter. Many of their products are manufactured by the name brands but packed for them.
@@jeryhamna2687 what did you say? it looks erased or something!!
@Maria Kamacho
Ghee is clarified butter.
Is raos B approved ? I’ve never tried it just find it so pricey i always skip it
@@heritagejoy Of course it is 100% Where have you been hes talked about it for years😆💁♀️
I prefer their organic marinara but the tomato basil isn’t bad imo. There was a Reddit thread about Aldi’s other marinara (the one with the black lid) actually being the exact same as Rao’s.
Try Mikes from Brooklyn or Lucini marinara.
Rao's is @$10 a jar that's a lot for most people when a family can cook a whole meal for that amount. We are shopping at Aldi not Whole Foods or Macy's cellar.
We got snow last night and very windy 🌬 now great timing for your video. To prep meals.
Thank you Bobby for all the work that you put into this you are truly a blessing to so many of us… I pray for Gods blessings on you this year and your beautiful family😊
I like Aldi’s so much more than Walmart! Thanks for this! Always good to know what’s the best!
Hey Bobby! Did you ever find out if Aldi grass fed packaged steaks are 100% grass fed? Thanks Rich.
Hear me out. I took the organic beef hot dog and cooked it with the organic 90 sec. Brown rice and quinoa and a side of zucchini. Delicious!
Bobby, thank you for educating us!!!
If you are familiar with dr.Berg,he also recommends Irish Butter as the best buy.
These videos are amazing, Bobby you, your family and your helpers are amazing!! These videos have literally changed my life. I've discovered Thrive Market because of you, and have had it for a while now, which alone is life changing, but you're helping people so profoundly in so many other ways! Thank you for all the helpful nutrition information, thank you for making eating healthy easier. God bless you and yours!
p.s. how to you feel about lectins or a low lectin diet and how do you feel about Gundry MD bio complete 3?
Ghee is fabulous! It’s clarified butter, yes you heard me butter!
Love Aldi! We’re all buying from there in my workplace because of the low prices combined with great choices and variety!
The dry quinoa makes alot more servings than what comes in the precooked.
So glad I can find the pre-cooked organic Grains, at ALDI.
I used to find it my local grocery, but now they don't carry it. It is so easy and delicious.
I love the way he gives pros and cons as far as , is it healthy? So many products look healthy but are not.
In the past, it sometimes felt like trying to read another language lol
I wish I had found it earlier as I just purchased yesterday a huge pack of the “wrong” type of sea salt 😣
Anyhow, I love ALDIs and shop there regularly now, so this is a perfect video! Just got their Irish butter this week to try.
Edit: I like how I got an Aldi ad while watching this 😆
We love you Bobby and your loved ones. Your skin is like baby smith skin. Love from Toronto Canada. You look 34 yrs
great video I have been learning so much from You Bobby thank you I use the app and really scan to make sure it is approved.
The app is a real game changer!! Absolutely love it!!!!
I’m seriously hoping one day Aldi will get smart and collab with you and have “Bobby approved” signage up in their stores! You’re the reason I started shopping there exclusively.
They sadly stopped carrying grass fed milk here in Southern California back in 2019/early 2020.
Just love learning again and again on the ingredients
The Aldi in Michigan has not been carrying the grass fed milk. It was right after I begin following you about a year ago. I would say about three months after I stopped seeing it offered in any of the Aldi stores.
Grassfed milk at Aldi?! I’ve never seen it but I will definitely be on the lookout for it!
I’ve been hoping for a clean, organic soymilk from them too.
Never seen it either. Must be only in a few stores
What do people think cows have been eating since time began? This Grass Fed gig has totally gaffed the universe. I’m laughing my head off.
@@LeeAnneGI get your point but cows are fed differently depending on the breed. Dairy cows eat differently from beef cows. Some cows graze on green grass, some on hay etc. Whatever they produce DEPENDS on the quality of food they eat. Same applies to chicken
They don’t carry it anymore. I called customer service a couple years back asking about when it would come back into our store and they said they were discontinuing it 😭
@@Crybaby-cz8et plus, cattle raised for beef in lots are usually raised on corn…fattens them up faster. The fat content is so different in cows raised on corn compared to the heart healthy fat in beef when raised on grass.
I wonder if the “olive oil” in the simply natural products is real olive oil. Can you test this?
It would be great if you could do something for type 2 diabetic with CKD. Love the knowledge you share with us❣️
I just started watching your videos a month or so ago. I found you by watching Rose cook. I have really enjoyed your content! Merry Christmas!
Hi Bobby
Great video! My dad and I love all your videos. I have learned so much from you! Can you please create a video on best food deals for diabetic’s. my dad has type 2 and would be very helpful. Thanks again and Happy New Year! 👍🏻🙏😘⭐️
Learning what I learned from your old videos I been buying the sprouted bread from aldis for like over a year thanks for your tips I really learn a lot and it has been so helpful tryna get my healthy eating on track
Thank you so much for doing the Aldi we’re all needing to shop health and economy so I appreciate you diving in to all the products there🥰
Giving Aldi a go for my next trip. Haven’t been in years but they’ve definitely upped their game!!
Aldi- great in theory. When you go there in practice they are out of half the items, and don’t have some of the better ones that Bobby highlights. It’s not in my main rotation of stores, though still fun to check out from time to time, and yeah maybe you can get lucky and they actually have the good items!
Thank you! Its worth the trip to Aldi for these products.
Some things I will not purchase, ghee is one of them. Buy good butter & make it yourself. Thanks for the bread info.
I didn’t think that I would find this video interesting but boy was I wrong! Thank you Bobby for providing such useful information!
I started using Ghee since December and love it! It brings out so much flavor!! 😊
I'm sorry if this a dumb question but is ghee, I'm new to this channel, and new to reading labels, just new period
@@elainesilvas5832 it’s a high fat content of butter
Do you use Ghee as regular butter? I'm also new to it
@@shannakabatznick6553 sometimes I do use it as a regular butter but not very often.
I love when he describes the way hard cheeses are processed. Chomp chomp chomp chomp chomp. I always smile.
Thanks for doing an Aldi video! I have one about one mile from me. They had all but 2 items that were on my list. Should have watched this before I went to see the keto snacks and ice cream ! Thanks for the heads up on the avocado oil not being pure.
So if the avocado oil says pure but it's not how can you trust the other Aldi products?
found a new good pasta sauce at Walmart.
Ashley, I always avoided them too but the past three years have become a convert.
This is the first video of yours I have seen and I love it! Thank you! I’m definitely going to subscribe
Use the ALDI keto Snickerdoodles as the crust when making low-carb cheesecake!
Excited to hear about your continuous monitoring experience! Thanks for sharing!
They also have pasture raised chicken eggs now!
Do they? Where r u from? I have been waiting for them to get pasture raised eggs. I haven't seen them in NY
Did you see the simple nature 90 second grains have sulfites! Highly allergic and heavily processed.
Bobby can you do a healthy version recipe for Starbucks oatmilk shaken brown sugar espresso drink?
I love the cheese at Aldi. Especially the bags of Curds and the Halloumi fries. Delicious broiled in a ramekin for a quick snack.
Any opinion on Aldi's keto friendly wine?
We are getting an Aldi so excited will go when I get paid .Thanks Bobby Happy New Year .
Bobby! Love your Aldi runs. Please discuss a keto bread for diabetic husband. Thanx!
So annoyed ALDI does not carry the green brick butter in Wisconsin (only the kind mixed with the oil). It tastes so much better. I hope they finally bring it back again.
Hi Bobby, I just discovered you and subscribed. LOve the work you are doing and sharing with us. I am diabetic and currently fighting uterine Cancer. Wend through the hysterectomy but one malignant node escaped so I have to do 25 months of immunotherapy to get rid of it. These Aldi finds are great! You got me on that butter. It's neat that Bobby is so excited about good food
