Hi, this is a great vid, very helpful. But one issue I'm having - I want to extrude my curved edge along a straight line to a second curved shape, rather than extruding it along a curve. It won't allow me to select my straight line when asking for the first rail. Is there a way to extrude from one curved shape to a different shape along a straight line? Please help! thanks
This is a year too late so it might not help you, but it might help future video viewers. I found a way around your problem! Just make your straight line and segment it in some way - bisect it with another line to cut it in half and then reconnect the rail to the other side. Afterwards, weld the now segmented line into one to use as the rail. Repeat as needed. :)
@@Thesketchupessentials When I click on "extrude edges by rain to lattice" I can select my 2 or 3 lines and then nothing happens. I also have no window on the right side or the small extrude toolsbox. What am I missing?

i managed to download the extrusion tools but i am not seeing the extrude line function, how could i extrude the lines please
what is equivalent extension for SketchUp 2021, since this one is gone...

When I try to use this with straight lines for the 'rails' I am unable to select them as rails - what am I missing?
I just had the same problem and figured it out- use push and pull tool:)

The arcs? You'd use the arc tool ("A" keyboard shortcut)
