I just bought one yesterday for well under $40 out the door. I’m one of those weirdos who prefer membrane keyboards. I love my Logitech K120 but I also need backlighting for “night work”. So far so good. I love the lower profile keys and very quiet typing, although the space bar is a lot more audible than the rest. I’m no gamer. I am learning to code. I wanted a K120 type keyboard with backlight. Happy with my purchase. As for the wrist rest, just keep the rubber pads clean, the desk clean, and the rubber pads keep it in place. Cheers!
You should've mentioned that this keyboard doesn't have anti - ghosting so some key combinations like shift + w + q won't work, therefore this keyboard is terrible for gaming. I bought it and I regret it. After 2 days of using it I found so many issues (like the no anti - ghosting, wrist rest not being comfortable at all and sliding around due to the fact that it's not magnetized and so on). I will return it from where I bought it and I won't buy a razer keyboard after all of the problems that I have run through with them. Personally I will say that you should avoid this keyboard and razer keyboards in general. That comes from someone who has been supporting razer quite a lot.
It is membrance keyboard with "mech" mimic design called mecha-membrance branded by Razer to overprice it. It is common for membrance keyboard. This kb will also suffer nkro issue.
It's a good keyboard. Most expensive keyboards are a waste of money. Unless you can type at a high rate & do it 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, there's no point in spending more.
@@aspirewot8408 Whether you specifically can perceive a difference or not is irrelevant. The fact is, an expensive keyboard like the Razer Huntsman V3 has immense advantages compared to one like this. One, it has no ghosting, which this keyboard has, making some games unplayable. Two, not only is the actuation speed significantly faster, the pre-travel is 2.5mm faster. Additionally, the keys are easier to press, requiring 9g less force. Three, the rapid trigger mode on the Huntsman allows you to release and repeatedly press keys at a much faster rate than is physically possible on standard keyboards. With the ability to reset keys at the slightest lift of a finger, experience an advantage in speed that is especially useful for movement in first and third-person games. Combined, the speed difference is easily noticeable. Not to mention, the minor benefits like a superior: wrist rest, keycaps, build quality, and more. Altogether, these minor benefits add up to a major one, on top of the stuff already mentioned. Overall, there is a massive difference.

You can easily buy a higher quality mechanical keyboard for the price of this. People somehow associate membranes as "cheap" and mechanicals as "expensive". But that's only true very generically. This is a specific case: Expensive membrane keyboard. Whereas this specific scenario also exists: Cheap mechanical keyboard. I got a wireless/wired mechanical keyboard for my GF about a year ago for $40. Its build quality feels better than even my previous $100 mechanical. It even has higher quality switches. And she's had to charge it only once in this entire time. Her previous non-mechanical wireless was worse in every single way except it was several times more expensive at around $200.
I have Thor 420 and love the sond of th keys, but my wife wife hates it so I have to switch to a quiet one. Thanks for the review, I will think about this model.
It would be perfect if the wrist rest was attached to the keyboard. The two-piece aspect makes it useless to me because I always use my keyboard on my lap. I wish they would make a one-piece keyboard like this.
bro. this is the same SH*T SOUNDING KEYBOARD THAT COMPANIES SELL FOR 40-60$. EXAMPLES THAT ARE THE EXACT SAME: Logitech G213 Steelseries Apex 3 AND THIS ONE
I saw for around 30euros but not sure if I gonna buy it, I have the Logitech 213 and is working fine after 3 years. I tried the regular ornata v3 and I loved the sensation but is a bit noisy for me 😅
1:55 But how do you clean it? Do you turn it upside down on a towel and leave it to drain for a few mintues, or do you leave it upright aand just wipe off the keys and board with a towel?
It only being full-size is perfectly fine. This keyboard is for casual gaming and typing, and those who want TKL keyboards, generally, are more hardcore, so they wouldn’t go for this keyboard anyway.
Yeah, not really. I'm glad if you like it any such, but you can get actually better keyboards for cheaper. If this was $20, it'd be a good deal. But you can get a much higher quality actual instead of fake mechanical keyboard for around $40. Which is still less than this thing normally goes for.
A quick question about the keyboard: A number of these comments appear in the Amazon reviews here in Germany “The only shame about the keyboard is the printing of the letters. These have already come loose and the letters are “fraying”. Like a T-shirt print, which slowly dissolves after repeated washing.” Was that a batch of the keyboard or has the problem been solved now?
@@christianvasquez3937 Thanks for your answer - I have now got the "normal" Ornata V3 (virtually new, for €37). I have been using it for 2 months now. I am excited about the future... 🙂
Buy a wooten if you want all the bells and whistles. For $40 this is a good entry level keyboard for casual players. Most of yall bitching about ghosting (which ive had no issue with in the almost 6 months ive had it) most likey are low to no tier "competetive" gamers or sheeple echoing what everyone else is saying. Are you going to get incredible strafe, unparallel accuation, and space quality build design? Obviously fucking not. But, if youre rocking one of those logitec bundle kits or just a $10 kb than this is a great upgrade from that.

I also noticed when I play dota 2, there are times when I have to move(right click) my hero for my keyboard to register the button I pressed

Wrong, for gaming, the higher-end keyboards make a massive difference. For me, this keyboard is fine because I use a keypad for gaming.

Probably should have mentioned the RGB is only one zone, so if you want to have multiple colors at once that's not going to work.
Good call - I'll be sure to in future videos - Thanks for the feedback
U can change the colours tho, right?

i have a problem w my keyboard if i press more than two key at once one of those keys wont count. anyone knows how to fix this?
No fix to this
The only "fix" is to stop buying these scamboards. Buy the cheapest possible mechanical keyboard and you'll be ok.
Epoxy fixes the hand rest.

I don't like that detachment thing. It's useless! I bought a gel pad at staples. Razor should include one and just charge a little more.
