Hi, thanks for your tip. I have a Lenovo Thinkcentre Edge72. I got this error 1962 after trying to enable SecureBoot , and after I did that I get 1962 error code. I tried to disable, it didn`t help. I had to change CSM from disabled to enabled and it works again. On this model you have to press F1 to go inte Bios mode in startup. Your video was very helpful:-)

I just noticed that you are back after a long hiatus. Your videos are to the point, really clear, and very helpful! I know you addressed a similar issue at length in earlier videos this year, but my Lenovo AIO700-24 just started exhibiting this behavior last week after Window's latest update. In a nutshell, this computer begins booting up normally, but then the screen goes black for 4-5 minutes after face recognition software confirms my identity, and then opens suddenly. I tried the bios fixes that you recommended, but they made no difference. I used Lenovo's Solution app to scan my entire system, including the hard drive and it says all systems are working fine. The the computer is definitely loading in the background during the blackout period, because the moment the Win desktop appears, it's fully populated with taskbar and desktop icons. So, I'm wondering if the issue is something a little different than the boot looping you addressed earlier this year, such as a faulty Ram stick, a lose display connection of some sort, etc. The only other symptom that I noticed is that Cortana no longer works and nor does the search field in the bottom left corner of the screen. BTW, this model came with a wireless mouse and keyboard, so I can't really pull those two Bluetooth devices out to see if that makes a difference. Thanks a million man!
Thanks for noticing and for the compliment :) It definitely sounds like an OS issue. Have you tried a factory reset or a new install of Windows? Just to make sure, you can always hook the computer up to an external monitor and confirm it goes black there too.

Hello. Yesterday my laptop wasn’t charging properly and it eventually ran out of charge. So I took out the battery, held the power button for a minute and put the battery back in. A few hours later, it turned on and worked for some time. And then a few minutes later, it stopped charging again and died. And the next day (today) I tried the same process. I took the battery out and let the power drain. I tried a few hours later and my laptop is still not turning on (it turns on for a second and turns off). Any help?
I tried to change the bios settings from Auto(between uefi and legacy ) to legacy , than I saved it restart the oc and now the pc is fully black , nothing is working and I can't do anything, can you plz help me out ?

Dud could u help me on something like I have a chrome book HP and the mouse won’t just showed up I try moveing the mouse pad and won’t work could u make a vid or tell me how to fix it
Try factory resetting the chromebook. If that does not work, reseat the ribbon cable from the touchpad and the motherboard. If that does not work, replace the touchpad.
Its usually in the same row as the Like, Share, etc buttons. If not, there will be a three-dot expand button that will show you the others. If you cant find it, np :):) Glad your all set :) Always here if needed !!
Please help. I just bought a Lenovo Ideapad 5 with Ryzen 5 with Windows 10. I've had it for a week. I've done a few Windows updates (critical only), and a bios update that was recommended when I enrolled with Lenovo Vantage. At some point the hot keys ( the + and - brightness) stopped working? When I go into settings>display and try to adjust the slider bar for brightness, OR click the NiteLight box - it does NOTHING now? The only other thing that seemed weird was that I clicked on the Radeon app in the start menu to see what the heck it was, and it came up with a setup screen of some sort? I quickly x'd out....but I saw notifications pop up along the side of display. I don't do gaming at all, and I didn't know what it was. One of these things caused the loss of functionality on my hot keys...what do I do? Should I revert to factory settings? I've only had it for a week, so that's not a worry for me to do that...but, do i really have to ? Is there an easy fix? please help. thank you so much. James
I tried the BIOS change options. Did not help. When I try to reinstall Windows 10, it shows that my hard drive has zero bytes. This would lead me to suspect a faulty hard drive. When I boot to Linux from a USB, I can see the hard drive and mount it as read only. The data is still there, but I can't mount it as read/write. On rare occasions, the OS has booted up. In this case, I can write to the hard drive. I feel confused about what to do next.
My laptop has several problems. It won’t turn on. So since it wouldn’t turn on I decided to plug in my charger to charge it and see if it was dead. But when I plugged my charger in it made one singular beep. It did the same beep when I unplugged it. It still won’t turn on. Please help
I’m really sorry for bugging you again but here is what happened: So basically I looked through a ton of your videos and finally decided to open up my computer to see if the problem was the ram. This was my first time opening my laptop so I was kinda nervous. I open it up and there is no ram. Like there is a spot we’re the ram is supposed to be placed but there is no ram. I have had this computer for about a year and just now figured this out.
@@mrbear91 It may have extra RAM slots for additional RAM but most likely has some RAM integrated into the motherboard. But most likely, the RAM has nothing to do with why the computer isnt even starting. Have you tried those tests in the video link?
Yes I tried removing the battery and clearing the static. However neither of those tests worked so I moved on to testing my ram like you said in the video.I am also working on the bios reset right now
My laptop turns on but display goes black sometimes . I connected it to my tv via HDMI and works fine . Display would show up sometimes but I'm confused it goes black sometimes and works well sometimes. What should I do any suggestion? @@saomj If you cannot change the settings in BIOS, or if changing them does not work, then skip that step and try to reinstall Windows 10 as seen here; ruclips.net/video/g_UhiHScaSI/видео.html. You can create your own Install Media for free as seen here; ruclips.net/video/g_UhiHScaSI/видео.html. If that fails, then your Hard Drive may be bad. Any help?

Try factory resetting the chromebook. If that does not work, reseat the ribbon cable from the touchpad and the motherboard. If that does not work, replace the touchpad.

James
Yes, I would try to reset the computer and see if that helps.
HDD could be failing. I would try to get any DATA off that you can access and replace it.

Display would show up sometimes but I'm confused
it goes black sometimes and works well sometimes. What should I do any suggestion?
I looked back at your videos but when I connected it to display it worked fine so is it safe to say that my RAM is fine? Very confused XD commenting using same laptop lol

If the screen is black, what are the signs the computer is on? Lights? Sounds? Fan?
@@PC_Monkey my mouse is on because of the lights is on, so my laptop is on but it's in black screen

CMOS good, UEFI/Legacy swapped numerous times with no change…BIOS information page states Hard Disk [Not Detected]. At this point, should I assume it needs replacement? 3yr old Lenovo ideapad 320
Yes, if your still not seeing the HDD in BIOS, then I would next try replacing it.
@@PC_Monkey Thx for the response. “Checking for media” error is all I ever get/got, no 1962 error. I guess its essentially the same result: Hard Disk [Not Detected] 🤔
@@se2103 Ya, basically the same. You can try to install an operating system to it as seen here; ruclips.net/video/Wu0c8wR5Ltk/видео.html.
