Sorry i have another question for you, recently my laptop has been booting into recovery mode and the error message would be ''It looks like windows didn't load correctly' So i had to reinstall windows because it wouldn't let me load into the lock screen when i booted my device. I had to reinstall windows twice now, And now that im, I'm trying to run a game I've been playing for a while but the fps was very low i'm very confused because i use to play this game a while back, so i go try another game that i've been playing called league of legends i load into the game and the fps is also low on that game too. So what im trying to say is any game i play the fps is always low and i don't know what seems to be the cause. Please if u have any knowledge on this it would help
I got a new HP laptop a few months ago and i've noticed whenever I use more than 2 arrow buttons the space button doesn't seem to work and my mouse doesn't seem to move but when i use them separately they work perfectly fine and I don't know why it keeps doing it and i really need help.

I just noticed that you are back after a long hiatus. Your videos are to the point, really clear, and very helpful! I know you addressed a similar issue at length in earlier videos this year, but my Lenovo AIO700-24 just started exhibiting this behavior last week after Window's latest update. In a nutshell, this computer begins booting up normally, but then the screen goes black for 4-5 minutes after face recognition software confirms my identity, and then opens suddenly. I tried the bios fixes that you recommended, but they made no difference. I used Lenovo's Solution app to scan my entire system, including the hard drive and it says all systems are working fine. The the computer is definitely loading in the background during the blackout period, because the moment the Win desktop appears, it's fully populated with taskbar and desktop icons. So, I'm wondering if the issue is something a little different than the boot looping you addressed earlier this year, such as a faulty Ram stick, a lose display connection of some sort, etc. The only other symptom that I noticed is that Cortana no longer works and nor does the search field in the bottom left corner of the screen. BTW, this model came with a wireless mouse and keyboard, so I can't really pull those two Bluetooth devices out to see if that makes a difference. Thanks a million man!

It definitely sounds like an OS issue. Have you tried a factory reset or a new install of Windows? Just to make sure, you can always hook the computer up to an external monitor and confirm it goes black there too.
My laptop turns on but display goes black sometimes . I connected it to my tv via HDMI and works fine . Display would show up sometimes but I'm confused

Hello. I didn't mean to bother but do you know how to fix lenovo after typing the password and it takes too long to open the windows. It keeps loading and said "welcome" but it takes too long to open and I even couldn't repair the pc because there's a problem to our pc. Can you help me how to fix it? Even we did "refresh your pc" but it stopped around 50% and it still happens after typing the password and waiting again...

Helping my 81 year old non-techy father over the phone, that in itself is a feat. Got him to disconnect everything and reboot. Thankfully this did the trick. Thank you so much, the faithful reboot and disconnect and F1 did the trick 👍

I have an off topic question, so I have an HP probook 450 g7 which when I start keeping loading for about 2 mins then reboots and enters auto repair but the auto repair is just a line of white dots which goes on forever, I tested the hard drive and processor and memory but it’s all good for what it tells me. Idk what’s the problem

Hi, I have an Acer Aspire ES-15, however, when I power on the laptop I see the logo and then a blinking “_” which makes me enter BIOS. I have changed the date correctly, and changed from “Legacy” to “UEFI”, yet no luck. Any suggestions would be amazing

Hey I have an Inspiron 15 7579 and it won’t charge. I’ve tried changing the batter and charging port and nothing new has happened. I believe it is long gone but is their a way to retrieve data from the laptop to a new laptop?
@@PC_Monkey Yes I did. I got a new charging port and I switched it out thinking the old one is probably damaged. And no it is not working at all meaning as in it’s not turning on or charging. I should mention that I was in a fire incident where I left the laptop open and retrieved it recently and I could tell water and dust got I side of it.
Please help. I just bought a Lenovo Ideapad 5 with Ryzen 5 with Windows 10. I've had it for a week. I've done a few Windows updates (critical only), and a bios update that was recommended when I enrolled with Lenovo Vantage. At some point the hot keys ( the + and - brightness) stopped working? When I go into settings>display and try to adjust the slider bar for brightness, OR click the NiteLight box - it does NOTHING now? The only other thing that seemed weird was that I clicked on the Radeon app in the start menu to see what the heck it was, and it came up with a setup screen of some sort? I quickly x'd out....but I saw notifications pop up along the side of display. I don't do gaming at all, and I didn't know what it was. One of these things caused the loss of functionality on my hot keys...what do I do? Should I revert to factory settings? I've only had it for a week, so that's not a worry for me to do that...but, do i really have to ? Is there an easy fix? please help. thank you so much. James
Yes, I would try to reset the computer and see if that helps.

im working on a friends Lenovo 300S-08IHH Desktop - Type 90F1. I got into the bios with the F1 key it was set with the CSM diabled making UEFI the current choice, I switched the CMS to enable, which chose auto boot mode with Legacy first, and, on reboot I got the lenove logo then it stopped at there black screen with no 1962 error and went no further, if I switch it back to UEFI it give me the Error 1962: No operating system found.... nag, but not with legacy however still black screen. I did changed the battery as well to a new one. I reset the date and time and sill a black screen. any thoughts om a next step?

Are you able to see anything on the screen before it fails to start and turns off?

yo man I am trying to start a chassis pc with a dell monitor bud it says when I turn it on that an operating system wasn't found. try disconnecting any drives that don't contain an operating system, press ctrl+alt+del to restart bud when I restart it just goes black for a few seconds and then it says it again. can you help me
Hello. Yesterday my laptop wasn’t charging properly and it eventually ran out of charge. So I took out the battery, held the power button for a minute and put the battery back in. A few hours later, it turned on and worked for some time. And then a few minutes later, it stopped charging again and died. And the next day (today) I tried the same process. I took the battery out and let the power drain. I tried a few hours later and my laptop is still not turning on (it turns on for a second and turns off). Any help?

Try factory resetting the chromebook. If that does not work, reseat the ribbon cable from the touchpad and the motherboard. If that does not work, replace the touchpad.

I am getting the issue where when I start up my ASUS laptop my screen is stuck on the ASUS logo. When I shut it off then turn it back on while holding f2, it then transitions to a black screen, but nothing changes afterwards. I'm trying to get into bios through f2 but it doesn't work (haven't tried this before). Q505U is the model of my laptop. My laptop was working fine yesterday except for the trackpad (started to spaz before I restarted laptop, then it wouldn't work after the restart) so I just used a mouse. Unsure if that is relevant.
Also, when I hold down the power button for apx 10 seconds the ASUS logo goes away but then reappears and remains stuck which I find odd because my laptop usually shuts down after 10. Holding it for longer shuts off the laptop though.

CMOS good, UEFI/Legacy swapped numerous times with no change…BIOS information page states Hard Disk [Not Detected]. At this point, should I assume it needs replacement? 3yr old Lenovo ideapad 320
Yes, if your still not seeing the HDD in BIOS, then I would next try replacing it.

That would just double check if its an OS issue instead of a HDD issue but if BIOS is not reading the HDD, then I'm assuming its the HDD. Is it possible to replace the wire with another one from a keyboard of the same type without replacing the entire keyboard? I tried to change the bios settings from Auto(between uefi and legacy ) to legacy , than I saved it restart the oc and now the pc is fully black , nothing is working and I can't do anything, can you plz help me out ?

That could be a feature in the computer. Most chromebooks are that way. More and more windows 10 computers are getting that feature too. Some computer allow you to turn it off if desired.

1. Most BIOS will look different as there are many versions out there. If you cannot find those options, can you find any Recovery or Repair options in BIOS?

Question: if the restore/reload of default values in BIOS doesn't solve the 1962... error, do these values remain upon entering BIOS again and can they be reversed? Basically, will this step further obstruct fixing this issue or is the old adage of default is best applicable? Thanks! =)
Update: i tried the default values and it doesn't fix the error. Not much difference in these values than what the PC already had in BIOS. I don't hear noises from HDD or clicking of any kind so I'm reluctant to repair this. Does this leave me with corrupted start up files which can only be solved with a new bootable OS image file? Thanks! =)
1. Resetting BIOS will not complicate further troubleshooting. Yes, those are most likely the best settings going forward.

@@PC_Monkey, I will try the diagnostic test before proceeding to other solutions. The PC is left on by my boy who plays Roblox on it. He walked into the room and saw the error one day. I'll update as I get more results. Thanks! =)

hey my Lenovo laptop is stuck on the Boot Menu. All the other videos I’ve seen to solve this had more than 1 options to click on under the boot menu while mine only has 1 (sorry if this makes no sense) saying Windows Boot manager

My HP 20-c210 would often not start up and just stay at a black screen. I decided to do a fresh install of windows as I believed the files may have gotten corrupt and then decided to install an entirely new hard drive. I tried to install windows 10 using the install media from your previous video but when it got to the installing files portion my computer would freeze and go to a DPC Watchdog Violation only to restart back again. Any way I can fix this?
And that happened after you installed a new hard drive?
@@PC_Monkey Yes. I bought a new HDD, installed it, and followed the steps to install windows 10 using a usb install media. I would get far before it would freeze and give me that error.

If the Function keys mentioned here didnt work, try your other keys. Some models use different ones :(
Hello i have a toshiba quasimo and i have the turn on but no display issue also the moment the pc seems to enter the windows screen (as in the time is for the display) the fan starts spining like crazy and the cooling pipe gets very hot ive tryed susing external screen with lcd unpluged im not sure if to blame the motherboard yet any other advice?

@@PC_Monkey i followed the first one precisely to no avail same for the second one whats even weirder is that i tryed to boot the motherboard alone connected to a screen in hopes id see the bios this means no drives no cables besides the psu ram and the screen and the processor and video card wich are solderd still heat like crazy i cant see how hot they are but i assume dispite nothing runing they go straight at 70 fan runing btw

My acer aspire 4752 has stuck at the acer logo level below the screen I can see press F2 to enter setup and beside it ..there is a rectangular tab which goes up to around 75% with blue colour and then freezes although I can hear the fan running.
I think my battery is also not working coz when I use my battery I don't see any charging light and it doesn't switch on.
I have tried replacing the CMOS battery but that was of no help ...kindly suggest what should I do ..????

for me i have lenovo b540 that it works and boots normally just during work it freezes, shut down sometimes with blue screen then it shows error 1962. coud that be a hard drive problem?

Hi, thanks for your tip. I have a Lenovo Thinkcentre Edge72. I got this error 1962 after trying to enable SecureBoot , and after I did that I get 1962 error code. I tried to disable, it didn`t help. I had to change CSM from disabled to enabled and it works again. On this model you have to press F1 to go inte Bios mode in startup. Your video was very helpful:-)

My desktop has been having an issue starting up or it’s been doing a “startup loop” i’ve done everything you say to do with asus computers to fix this problem and het cant get it to work. The only thing I haven’t tried was to turn of secure boot and which the button is greyed out on BIOS. Help me please

If this happened when you hit the computer. Perhaps the hard drive is loose. Unplug it and then plug it back to make sure its secure. My Lenovo unexplainably “crashed” overnight about 2 weeks ago with this message and says boot sequence will automatically repeat. It also has a message of partition being destroyed. I hope this video helps me.

Hi, i checked your videos but i can't find an answer. I have a problem with my Thinkpad Edge E330, couple of days ago my sister used it and when I turned it on it toke a lot of time and it was saying " error .... ...." i can't remember the error number . So i followed the steps to fix the issue but after when I turned it on it started normally than at the end it only shows the mouse's arrow with a black screen.Sometimes the tool bar at the bottom of the screen keeps showing and than disappearing. Try hooking up to an external monitor. Does the problem continue on there?

Yoo wsp man this is on another situation but my computer is having some problem when I start it, it says reboot and select proper boot device then I enter hdd recovery then when I try to click yes it just doesn't register my click but when I click no it goes through

My acer laptop has this issue where I have to always restart it when I open my laptop, like whenever I open the screen, the blue light is there but the screen is black and once I hold the power button to restart it, rhe laptop works, so I don't know how to fix that.

All brands have their cheap not-so-good computer and all have their expensive / good computers. One brand isnt generally better than the others. It also depends on what you need it for and what your looking to have your computer do. An i5 processor is generally much faster than an i3.

@@naushabanauroze8169 Most basic computers should do the job. Most schools around me do everything online / on Google Drive. If so, a chromebook would be a cheap fast option. If you need windows, any basic computer should work. New, you shouldnt pay more than $350 USD
