In case this solution still doesn’t fix your 2100 error, how about giving a try to remove the hard drive and the SATA connector and then replug them again, as 2100 error says hard drive cannot be detected so the issue could be due to loose connection of hard drive. This finally resolved my own 2100 error.
You did not mention one important thing. That is Intel the VMD controller. In some cases that might be the problem, such as Lenovo Intel 11 gen laptops for example (it may happen with some other Intel generations). So what happens, the NVMe SSD will not bi visible for the operating system, after the initial setup, where you choose where to install the operating system to. The solution, you need to disable the Intel VMD controller and switch it to an AHCI mode, only then you will be able to continue with the installation.
Bro, you have no idea how your video saved my life.. My friend gave me their Lenovo Laptop for OS update and driver installation as the local service center was asking too much for it. I was casually downloding all the softwares and updates and the pc wanted to do a restart. I allowed that and boom.. Installation media is not detected. It was my friends only device and he had he needed it for his classes in a few hours.. I tried everything and it didn't work out. I thought maybe I killed it. Then I found your video.. Turns out that it was just the UEFI/Legacy toggle that needed to be changed.. And I tried putting another drive and all that..
Great video! Everything is up and running but my computer will not recognize my external hard drive when plugged in (worked before and it does light up). I see the hard drive fine on other computers. My keyboard works fine in the port also.
I updated the bios on my new Ideapad 5, then Windows can't see the SSD. The latest bios version does not show the ability to switch between UEFI and Legacy mode. Even though I deactivated "secure boot" in itself didn't help. The Intel VMD controller had yet to be turned off and the system was finally recovered. Maybe it will help someone :)

This is a long problem, please bear with me. I recently installed an SSD on my Lenovo IdeaPad 330. So, I was trying to install Windows 10 on the SSD and in the windows setup where we have to select the drive partition it says "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disk's controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu." To resolve this, I watched many videos where they give the solution of setting the SATA disk configuration to AHCI from IDE from the BIOS menu. But, the BIOS menu on my laptop doesn't have that option. I have been trying to find the solution for more than a week now but no luck. Please suggest something.
If you end up here, my issue was with a Lenovo without an OS. The issue was Intel VMD, it was enabled, and it caused to not read the SSD drive. Turned it off, and voila, was there

Bro, I m not getting D drive option only for "new apps will save to " for remaining I m getting D option like "new music or videos will save to " pls help bro
In case this solution still doesn’t fix your 2100 error, how about giving a try to remove the hard drive and the SATA connector and then replug them again, as 2100 error says hard drive cannot be detected so the issue could be due to loose connection of hard drive. This finally resolved my own 2100 error.
Yes, that is a good step to try. It was included in later updates of this video :)

Thanks man !!

Man you're great! That fixed my problem after reset bios to default

Great video! Everything is up and running but my computer will not recognize my external hard drive when plugged in (worked before and it does light up). I see the hard drive fine on other computers. My keyboard works fine in the port also.
Same problem. How to fix them?
I updated the bios on my new Ideapad 5, then Windows can't see the SSD. The latest bios version does not show the ability to switch between UEFI and Legacy mode. Even though I deactivated "secure boot" in itself didn't help. The Intel VMD controller had yet to be turned off and the system was finally recovered. Maybe it will help someone :)

There is no boot mode in my Boot tab even with secure boot disabled in security. I am returning this laptop since I can not install windows as there's no detected ssd.

I have a lenovo idealpad 3 it doesn't shunting down. When i shut down and it will on again. What i can do now
This is a long problem, please bear with me.
Any update? same problem here
If you end up here, my issue was with a Lenovo without an OS. The issue was Intel VMD, it was enabled, and it caused to not read the SSD drive. Turned it off, and voila, was there

Thanks for the great easy to follow video, unfortunately this didn't fix my issue. If I reinstall the windows operating system will I lose everything (files/documents/pictures) currently on my laptop? Is there a way to prevent this?
Assuming the HDD is still good, then there is a way to install Windows without losing all the DATA. You can see me install Windows to a Lenovo here; ruclips.net/video/l3AVGlVWUsI/видео.html. In that video, you see me deleting all the partitions before install. That is what deletes the DATA. If you want to save your DATA, do not delete them as seen.

@@PC_Monkey thnx for yr swift reply! Unfortunately I don’t have a fresh install ready on a usb or so. Hence will have to go to a shop I think.
The laptop that I was trying to repair it won't read anything plugged into the SATA port and when something is plugged into the SATA Port it just gives you an error. And also i noticed that my secure boot status is also greyed out and it says "disabled" when yours is enabled. Is this related on why the boot mode is greyed out too? But i cant change it to enable since it's greyed out. What should i do?
If you cannot locate the options to switch between or if switching does not work, then skip that step and continue with the rest of the video :)
Hello, I watched your videos and mine doesn't apply in any.
My problem is I recently bought 1 terabyte ssd drive and i cloned my hdd.
Everything went well. But the main issue is that i cant make the ssd to be the first in booting priority because it doesn't appear there. Normal what my laptop does is that it first scan hdd for the Window OS before moving to SDD and boot on it. Am using a disk caddy.. which makes me able to use 2 drive in 1 laptop.
I have problem with my laptop. It works good on its original drive, but when I switch it to other it acts strangely. It won't detect this drive, unless I put original and new drive into motherboard at one time. Then it boot from my new SSD. What can be issue? I tried two different drives so it's not problem with SSD imo.

How can you view your boot order? Your bios looks the same as mine, and I’m wondering where I can see the list of devices and the booting order?
Also I saw when you switched to legacy mode from uefi, the boot priority option that was next said UEFI first. Should you also switch this to legacy?
Hey.
I have a Lenovo Thinkpad which is stuck in the boot menu. I had this issue several times but what I used to do is just disconnect the internal battery from it and then turn it off and it was working.
However, now I cannot do anything. Also, I took it to a local computer repair place and the guys checked the ssd, said there is no problem with it and the computer is turning on now.
Two days after I took my laptop from them the same thing happens again.
I checked everything in the video and it seems like everything is ok.
Any advices?
If you cant locate and change these BIOS settings or changing them does not work, then move on to try the Windows install as seen here; ruclips.net/video/Wu0c8wR5Ltk/видео.html. You can create your own Windows 10 Install Media for free as seen here; ruclips.net/video/YbC4jZVwQm4/видео.html. If you cant create your own, you may have to purchase it. You can see an example of a good install media USB in the Repair Tools list here; www.amazon.com/shop/pcmonkey.
If that fails, then the issue is most likely a bad Hard Drive. Replace as seen here; ruclips.net/video/uZkmsJW5bbc/видео.html, and install Windows to the new drive.
