You gotta admire how Marie is so determined to gaslight the broker after she was already caught in the act. "You are in big trouble".... What a way to flip the script.
this is a terribly underrated comment.. but it's only because nobody cares about marie so this vid won't skyrocket millions of views. You'll still have a special place in my heart though
She doesn't. She just doubled down on her lie and died on that hill to avoid having to admit she was in the wrong. Nothing but a mental defense mechanism
What’s funny is remember when Skylar went to confront Jesse she walked on property then walked through a closed gate continued to walk towards him than proceeds to tell Jesse “don’t touch me” as if he’s the one who came to her residence unannounced & bothered him
She may have always had this problem, but here she might jus be doing bad things lashing out to feel better and stay away from home, breaking down when she's able to go home cuz she doesn't want to deal with hank
"So... the people you got caught stealing from aren't pressing charges." "Good. I wont either." WTF???? Why is Skyler the most hated character when Marie is 10,000 times worse?
The concept of making marie a kleptomaniac is to show the contrast with walt. These are people cannot even fathom what walt does in a million lifetimes.
Marie kinda sucks at times, but I think this scene makes it clear that it's a response to stress. She's not crying because she got caught shoplifting, she's crying because her home situation is fucked up with hank constantly verbally abusing her despite her best efforts - this is all through no fault of her own. The shoplifting is her (incredibly destructive) coping mechanism - you could say it's attention seeking or a cry for help, either way, it's not great, but there's a reason she's doing it beyond just "being a Karen". What's cool is this detective guy was a fucking legend the way he came in, knew exactly how to get Hank back on his feet again and back to his normal self which solved the problem of Marie's shoplifting for the moment. Honestly though? I can imagine Hanks death and other fall out from Walts bullshit would have likely had her spiralling again and without Hank there I actually could see Marie getting in trouble with the law quite a bit after the events of Breaking Bad.
I guess it highlights how Hank's situation- bed ridden, obsessed with ordering expensive heavy minerals to the house- made Marie go nuts. And I guess in the end, it opened the door for his buddy Tim at ABQ Police to in return ask for a favour and look into the Gale murder.
Shows how dysfunctional Hank and Marie's family situation is. Hank is abusive towards Marie, Marie wants to escape into a fantasy world where she gets to put other people down. This show does an excellent job at showing you that no one is consistently worth rooting for. Everyone who has been hurt will hurt others.
Shows how Hank is frustrated and starts to take it out on Marie because he may not be able to walk anymore, which causes Marie to start stealing things in order to cope with the stress, which causes her to get caught, which causes the APD detective to bring Hank Gale's file, which leads to Hank looking into Gus and involving him with the main story. Believe it or not, it's not just a random thing, there is some purpose to it
Marie is sort of a like a less destructive version of Walt- a habitual liar, a big ego, wants more. She seems to always be right on the edge of going down a dark path when her circumstances get hard, just like Walt. Yet in the end it’s her’s and Hank’s relationship (which, despite it having problems and being rocky, is built on genuine love for one another) that keeps her from straying too far.
I really like how Hank goes from anger, to disappointment, to sympathy. It’s like watching a parent when their child is sent to the principal’s office

That's the Karen energy.

The entire cast of this show is excellent. Phenomenal series.
Maries actor actually apologised after they shot the scene when she called the realtor fatty because she felt bad
This is the exact moment Marie became HIDESINPURSE

Man.. Hanks facial expressions are on point!
He’s really trying to hold back his anger and annoyance.
She was going to open houses, making up stories and stealing things.
Duh
Thanks for the context
Marie is the definition of wacko Karen.
And she looks like Jacko
Imagine if she came across blue meth and thought it was only a blue crystal to take. Hank's reaction would be.....😂
Wait...she actually thinks that she has the grounds to press charges against the people she stole from?
Yup.. cause she is just an awful person!

You are in big trouble.
Her means: I'M in big trouble.
I would have been like, "Really, what's your husband now? The President?"
I could comment something funny but Marie will steal that too
😂😂😂

Marie is the WORST! Can NOT stand her!
Hank's no better, for bailing her out.
@@oneproudbrowncoat😂😂😂
Keep in mind, this is what led to Hank suspecting Gus and eventually resulted in Walt getting caught
All because Tim had to call Hank in for a favor to keep his wife out of jail.
Coincidences do not simply favor the criminals.
if i hear another “butterfly effect”🤦♂️
@@zekeiwa5837 nobody cares
Im surprised Marie held it together as long as she did. She could only handle being the wife of America's greatest meth kingpin for so long.
4:10 DON’T YOU DARE CRY! YOU WEREN’T CRYING WHEN YOU WERE STEALING
The second hand embarassment I got from this is insane.

There has always been something...MENTAL about her.😅
Yeah but imagine what a lay she would make.
Hank was very lucky to have a great friend like Tim.

Such a Karen
Don’t talk about the estate sale lady like that
Marie reminds me of my sister in law. That looks like something she’d do.

why would she carry stolen goods around with her
