Ford Instrument Cluster Testing

  • Spent some time mucking with an instrument cluster out of a 2014 Ford Flex.
Every function on this cluster is controlled over the CAN NETWORK, aside from fuel level, washer fluid level, and detecting the transmission is in park.
Controls in this video are provided through an Arduino Uno and an ElecFreaks CANBUS shield. A combination of scanning the data stream from the vehicle and broadcasting randomly generated data got me here. Hoping to eventually test this with other Ford CAN clusters at some point.
    Thanks for watching!

I have a 2013 Ford Fusion Cluster but I can't figure out how the fuel level is controlled. Did yours also habe two cables for the fuel sending unit? What do I have to do there?

    It look amazing!
Do You have a list of can frames used to communicate with the cluster ?
I am currently trying somenthing similiar with a Focus MKIII cluster but i cannot find the Ignition Key CAN frame (as the dash doesn't have a additional ignition power connector)

If you see my most recent video, you can see how my efforts came to fruition. I intend on making a follow up to that one still, but have been very busy as this is just a hobby for me
