  • Doing a bit of testing with the Lincoln digital cluster and the 300ZX.
RPM reading appears to be accurate, averaging the samples and only updating the RPMs displayed when they change seems to have sorted the jitter I was experiencing before. Happy to see it reading well off the actual ignition signal.
As always, I hope you all enjoy, even if it is quite short. Feel free to subscribe, I'll be trying to keep stuff current here as well!

I have been digging and searching for exactly this. Please please share your hardware config and code! Or let me buy a copy!! Im trying to use analog inputs to an arduino / can to use in a ford cluster.

It'll have to wait until I can sit down and draw up a spreadsheet with all of the CAN commands I've found for it, but hardware wise it's running off an Esp32 since the ATMega328 with the Mcp2515 didn't seem to have the speed needed when I started sending a lot of messages onto the network.

I'm currently trying to do something similar for sim racing, but cannot find the commands to actually wake the cluster up.
Does the cluster that You use have an additional ignition power pin or is it fully controled from CAN bus ?

It is fully controlled via the can bus. In this video I've only got 4 wires connected to the cluster: power, ground, can high and can low.
Should I get the time, I am thinking of potentially writing out the commands I've encountered in making my project work. However, I'm not sure when I'll have that time.
