First Light = Lake Audubon Walleye

We took a short drive on an early morning, but maybe not early enough. Just getting into the first light of the day on Lake Audubon, we found an absolute feeding frenzy for walleye. Later, after the cable guy stopped by, the evening bite was slightly more cold, but fun with all the guys swinging by to visit.

Hooksets to the moon and back didn't bring some of those tricky fish in that day. I missed more than I've ever missed in one day that's for sure. The ice was over 20" the last time I was out in that area. Other spots of the lake are dropping ATVs and walking people alike. It's been unpredictable ice as of late and especially this season for sure for everyone everywhere except the Great White North. Nice to see you stop by for a comment, Crappie.
