Hi, I’ve started to use the homemade sea moss gel with my myolift and Newa devices. It’s so easy to make, cost effective and is full of great stuff that leaves your skin feeling so good. Also I find it gives better conductivity.

    Newest update :
I love this gel! I am getting such a tightening affect. I am noticing such a huge difference with my jowls when using this with my Newa and my microcurrent. I now freeze in silicone mini muffin tins. I keep them in the freezer in a gallon bag. I thaw one at a time. I add boiling water to get the right consistency. Now I can use the spatula rather than my hands. It isn't messy anymore. I still use my microfiber towel to clean my devices. My skin loves this stuff! Thank you so much for this recipe!!!
Original Post: I made using homemade Smart water green tea and Pyungkang Yul Toner in a Vitamix. I decided to use ice cube trays to freeze some of it since it made so much. That way I can thaw as needed and I did not need to use a preservative, as I worried about going bad before I used up. 🤔 It was perfect when I made it and could use my skin spatula. After refrigerating the consistency was very jelly. Next time I might add more liquid and some glycerin. 🤔 I could not use my silicone spatula after refrigerating. Too messy. I ended up using my clean hands to warm it up and spread. My goodness! The tightening effect I got using my Newa was outstanding! I had no trouble getting green blinking lights. I did, however have to really keep it moving so as not to burn. I bought a giant pack of finished microfiber towels from Sam's Club. I used one of these to clean up my Newa device in between treatment sections. I did spritz my smart water during the treatment. I used another clean microfiber to get off some of the dried gel, reapply, and use my Nuface device. Again, I Spritz with Smartwater. I loved the tightening effect of this gel! It is messy and not as convenient as a tube. I would not take on a trip. LOL But, I will definitely be using at home! Note: I used another clean microfiber towel with warm water to get the remaining gel off. I love my Sam's Club microfiber towels. LOL They come in different colors so you can use one color for skin care and one color to clean with. And one color for the garage. My husband definitely knows which color he can use and which colors he's not allowed to touch. 😂

I finally whipped up a batch! I really like it😄 I love how my skin felt when I rinsed it off, I did find it takes more work to remove it but it’s worth it. I followed your instructions the best I could, I wanted to make it with the tea so not sure how you added. I brewed it and added instead of straight water. I did notice that when I removed from fridge it was a more solid gel....not sure if that is normal. I let it sit out to warm up a bit then stirred it to loosen up to make applying easier. When I made the consistency seemed correct to yours I was afraid to add more tea and have it to thin. I used it with my NuFACE and when it starts drying it’s perfect for the lift and hold moves! I didn’t get a single tap or tingle the entire time and had great results by the end. Thank you for this wonderful tip for making gel. If I’m doing something wrong to end up with a firm gel after it’s refrigerated please let me know, I would much prefer it to be a spreadable gel consistency. Lol my face did get tight 😂 it’s like topical Botox 😂😂😂

I just bought my first microcurrent device and I was searching for ideas on what to use as a conductive gel, other than HA, because I prefer beta glucan and wasn’t sure it would hold it’s slip… Plus, I’m vegan and already have my own vegan products, so I didn’t want to add a bunch of other ingredients in most of the commercial gels, and have to research all the ingredients ( or pay those prices!)…This popped up and I was so happy! I already have sea moss and have made gel for ingesting, so this is brilliant! It didn’t even occur to me! I also have the mineral spray! Thank you so much! Subscribed! 🙂

Great post, thank you. I’ve been investigating on Amazon U.K. regarding sea moss. You can buy it relatively inexpensively. An alternate that I have found is readymade sea moss gel in a jar with just added mineral water. This is really inexpensive for a 250g jar. I’m going to buy some and give it a try with my Nuface Trinity micro current device. I love that it’s all natural, jammed-packed with vitamins and minerals and no nasty additives. A great alternative to NuFace primer which is over-priced and makes my skin slightly itchy. I’m also going to use some Evian facial spring water spray if it dries out too quickly. Will report back on this.
    Thank you
    Clare

Thank you so much for posting this,. Curious to ask why did you choose
on the first place the moss? is it because its known for conductivity
properties? Also how do you measure if a gel is conductive enough , if there a way? I am going to use the recipe you suggested in here but I want to add some other ingrdients as well and i want to make sure it remains still conductive. Thanks. You are the best :)Loved the video

Thanks so much for this! I just received my nebulyft but lavendar is an ingredient in their gel and I'm sensitive to it. I wish companies would NOT use essential oils because many people have sensitivities. The company gel is also quite expensive, so I really appreciate this very simple, healty, and inexpensive alternative. I also use aloe gel and some hyaluronic acid with my Nuface and it works but it also dries too quickly, so I'm looking forward to giving the sea moss a try, possibly with a little glycerin as well. Hyaluronic acid, aloe gel and glycerin are also inexpensive and good for the skin. The seaweed gel is also so economical.

I would grind the dry sea moss to a fine powder, as fine as you can. Then use the amount you need for one treatment, adding water to get consistency you want. The only way I would make up a big batch for later use is if I was adding a preservative. I'd experiment too by adding things like; a tiny pinch of pink salt, green tea powder, a few of drops of vegetable glycerin.
Will do this myself, just not today.
Thanks OE....will check out your other videos

  • @marializarzaburu9613

Hellooo! Thanks for sharing ! One option to increase the conductivity of homemade gels for the use of muscle electrostimulation devices such as the BEAR, is to use hypertonic seawater in a spray on the face to moisten the gel. Seawater has negative ions that increase conductivity. In Spain there is a brand that is "seawater from Ibiza and Formentera"...they have hypertonic and isotonic water...
Another option would be to add seawater to the mixture when making the homemade gel instead of pyrified water...seawater contains trace elements that could be beneficial...it's just a suggestion!

I have been an esthetician for 15 years and always wanted to venture into the organic side of things, but never knew where to start. I am just learning about essential oils and organic sources to be used in the treatment room. I am very excited about all this new information I'm discovering. I've been using the gel as a pre treatment mask for now, until I can afford a very good micro current device. My clients, and myself are loving it! I've found that it actually has been helping with extractions, it's unbelievable how easily they are removed after washing off the gel. And their skin looks and feels different than ever before. I refrained from the essential oils and added pure organic honey. It's an amazing journey I am now on! Thank you for your help! Emily

I’m liking it. It gets hot quick. 🔥 I got it on sale at Glownar. I really wanted a hydradermabrasion machine too and have seen combo devices for the same price I spent on the RF. I always wonder if a combo is less effective 🤔 A friend has a combo device from Dermishop and loves it. Super affordable.

Thank you!!! 🙏🏻 I think the bigger issue is topical irritation and disruption of the skin’s barrier. While many studies have reported the benefit of using micro needling and RF together, in an at-home setting I would suggest spacing these treatments.

I use Wellness micro current but don’t believe I’ve ever heard if doing each movement more and longer is better. I notice everyone goes faster and pinch time is less. I’m older and have more sagging skin so doing it longer but wonder if less is better. What are your thoughts?

I love your videos and how informative you are, very helpful in my quest into micro current and all healthy skin things, but I have a question. The sea moss you’re promoting has a bunch of bad reviews saying it smells of chemicals and other negative things about it, it doesn’t say on the package that it’s certified organic, it only says it in the description part of the product, and also on their website in a description part. So I kinda question how organic it actually is if it doesn’t have the stamp of organic approval on the packaging ya know? Like there’s different symbols on packaging associated with the different levels of how organic the food is that’s been certified and I don’t see those on the product or proof of it on their website so how do we know it is non gmo and organic? I don’t mean to sound negative or rude it’s just I recently have broken out with really painful nodular acne that has negatively effected me in so many ways, I’ve never had nodular acne before so it’s weird I suddenly out of nowhere got it but I think it might be because I recently started using ultrasound gel when I use my nuface pro, that’s the only thing I can think of that would cause it, anyways, it’s painful it hurts like hell im lucky we have to wear masks so I can still go out in public and not worry too much about people seeing it and being grossed out by it, long story longer, I’m really wanting to find something that’s great for your skin and this sea moss sounds great but I just want to be sure it is what it claims to be because I don’t want to run the risk of ruining my skin more then I already have. Sorry for the long question, I totally love your videos and your helpful tips and information your amazing, thank you. :)

    • @TheOrganicEsthetician
      @TheOrganicEsthetician  4 года назад +3

I am so sorry you’re going through that. When skin acts up it really is the worst! It’s possible the ultrasound gel (which is usually pretty dirty) contributed but also stress, mask wearing, all of it can compound.
The moss I used is wild crafted. I had no issues with odor or anything weird. I bought the pre washed option. I might suggest holding off on new treatments until your skin calms down. But LED blue and infrared could be helpful. I’d be wary of acne treatments too as it could be due to a barrier issue or unbalanced microbiome. Wishing you the best ❤️
