FJ80 In Depth Charcoal Canister Replacement 2023.

Greetings Everyone. This is an in-depth charcoal canister replacement for the 1991-1992 FJ80 Landcruiser using the VC120 Charcoal Canister. This provides a more in-depth process for replacing the filter with any I have seen on the early 80 series.

Great work! Nice to see that you pulled the entire mount out of the truck to give everyone an idea as to how it actually bolts up. Good idea with the longer hoses as well. I will say though, the zip ties have still held up! LOL. My theory is that they’re on the opposite side of the exhaust manifold, so that location doesn’t get as hot… 🤷🏻 have definitely been meaning to switch to longer bolts, but have been too Distracted installing the cooler instagram mods lol.

What thread/pitch screw? What inner/outer diameter hose?

William, I just took the old bolt and nut to Lowe’s and found a longer bolt to fit inside the nut. Not sure of size. In regard to the hose I just took the old one to Autozone and they matched it.

Yes, many people use the same canister it’s just in a different location your vehicle
