    Nice landing.This is most difficult airport in the world.But you did very good job.I really refer to your video.

    Carried out perfectly, very impressive!

      Thanks! This approach is amazing. You have to get in very slow and steady for the PMDG to maintain the VNAV profile but thereafter it’s actually not that hard with a slow -700. I think a full 800 is a different story.

      @@springmediachannel It has always been on my bucket list, though, I was not quite sure about the compatible scenery. I know now. Next stop, Toncontin :D

    Buttering the toast at MHTG! Very impressive!! I wish you would do a landing tutorial video maybe discuss your equipment and sensitivity setting and share some pearls on how you get such perfect landings every time.

      Thank you! I have thought about a landing tutorial kinda video but there are so many different factors affecting the landing technique. Even between 737-700 and -800 there are differences and then it all comes down to feeling. The same for different flap settings. I think the best way to improve is to do more landings and develope your own technique. I for example like to keep the thrust on to at or below 10ft, while others already retard the thrust levers at 30'. I use a honeycomb yoke with all default sensitivity settings. Nothing special actually.

      I agree there are many variables and “feel” has a lot to do with it. I use a similar technique for PMDG. Of course what works for PMDG is different than what works for the Zibo mod in XPlane; and of course the airbuses are a whole different animal. I won’t even delve into the PMDG 777 which for me is the very hardest. I’m just impressed how you seem to get it right every time! What I found most impressive about this landing is you followed the road down to the “cloverleaf” and yet never banked past 25 degrees to stick that right on the centerline. I still think that you have some very good info you could share but again certainly appreciate your reticence. Thanks for the advice! My landings are good most days but not as often as yours.

      I must admit, The PMDG 777 flight dynamics are a bit weird. 90% of my flights are with the 737.so I know the aircraft so well. You don’t want to see me landing the A320. I watched some video’s of landings in Toncontin and saw that they used the road as a reference point. For the turn I was keeping a close look at the ND. The turn indicator was exactly lined up with the runway so that when I have the runway in sight I would only need small corrections. The tricky part is the “dive” when you are clear of terrain to ensure you are very low over the treshold for an early and smooth touchdown.. Once again for watching! I really appreciate your comments.

    Are you going to switch over the fs2020 when PMDG releases the 737 there?
    I'd love to multi-crew with you when that function in released!

      Thank you! I’m already using FS2020 for VFR alongside P3D. When PMDG releases their 737 for FS2020 I’ll leave P3D for good.

    Perfect approach, do you use some presets and shaders ?

    How did you get MHTG to work on P3d4?

    • @springmediachannel
      @springmediachannel  3 года назад

      Barely. On some angles the ground dissappears. I believe there is a newer version available on simmarket that works in P3D

      @@springmediachannel But that's now the Taxi2Gate version, it's a new one. Not as good as T2G

      It’s Project Max MHTG. I must say the screenshots in simmarket look pretty good actually.

      @@springmediachannel Got the terrain and rwy to work from T2G, but not buildings. Maybe a combo of T2G and the new one would work best

    did you stop using immersive audio? I think you used it a while ago.. great video otherwise!

    • @springmediachannel
      @springmediachannel  3 года назад +1

      Yes I did. Altough I like the immersive ground roll and takeoff roar better, I think the default sounds are more realistic overall.
