Saw an endoscope cap on this one for a medical component I used to build. I had to solder wires with a microscope and my friend welded the control ring on with a Lazer beam under a microscope. Very precise stuff! I can say from experience the end results from this machine are indeed perfection.
@@starrapid I'm starting my two years of injection molding classes today as a trade, this video was in my playlist for getting me familiar with the material at hand. Is it possible to manufacture Blood Lancets in these machines ?? Blood lancets are having inserts insides and used to check the Sugar level in the Blood
Other advantages to a micro molding machine. If you have a farm of them and one goes down you only loos a fraction of your production. Cost to get started, while probably a scail version of "industry standard" is still possible for beginners. Wich leads to the third point; more accessible scalability. You can grow at the speed you grow. Not through risky financing moves or waiting fiv or six years to afford the next machine. Four. You dont nessieraly need a larg appropriately zoned location and when you need to griw to one, down time is minimal. Cost of moving is nearly nothing in comparison. Im sure there are more.

1st statement is not totally true, it depends - if you do real micromoulding cavity/mould insert it will cost quite a few grand. e.g. check microneedles.
According to Alibaba, the price of the Babyplast machine is 8400 ameribucks. It's definitely not a affordable range for DIY tinkerers, so i guess the video is targeting company owners.
Yes we can do that, so long as the shot weights are fairly balanced. By that I mean, you can’t have one big part and three tiny parts. Thanks for your question! - Gordon.
Twice the size? Do you mean a 20 tonnes press? Yes, there are a number of manufacturers of low pressure micro molding machines. Toshiba make a 20 tonnes machine. ruclips.net/video/UeklmrpRCYo/видео.html But as you can see, it is a lot larger physically.
I dig that they used a vid clip of wolf of wall street at the end. Specs at the beginning, Leo movie scene, with the word "fuckin" in it, at the end. Ads should have adult language. Seeing as it's only adults who are gonna be watching vids like this.
@@starrapid Any typical computer keyboard has a switch under each button, but the plastic that you touch (usually with the letter/symbol that you are trying to type out printed into the plastic) is the keycap. In the world of high end mechanical keyboards, equally high quality keycaps sell for a premium. People customize the color, themes, font, etc etc. The best keycaps products are ABS or PBT and they are double shot. One shot for the body and another for the symbols. The second shot also allows for transparent plastic to be used for keyboard backlighting to shine through. I like to tinker and it would be loads of fun to make keycap sets myself.
My company is looking into overmolding on wire harnesses to make the standard AC power cords for north american use. We need a small vertical injection molder that can probably do two cavity molds in and around 2 to 4 oz shot size. Anything in your repertoire ?
@@tomcatmeow69 You might want to look at Low Pressure Molding machines by Moldman machines (Ellsworth). A 2 ounce shot is around 57 grams, and a 1 to 2 ton machine could handle this (Moldman 1050 or the 2 ton upgraded variant of the 1050). 4 ounces is roughly 114 grams, so you would need a Moldman with a 2 ton clamp (Moldman 6000). These machines are run Polaymides for low pressure molding. Over molding NEMA standard power connectors is a pretty typical use case. I've designed lots of NEMA parts and the tooling (mold sets). This is what I do: molded part design in CAD, Moldflow analysis (molding simulations), tool design and tool manufacturing.
