I suspect the reason why we don't want background music in this video is because it distracts us from the real background audio you are recording in the streets. I want to her the sound of the city, the people, the trains and the other music coming from other places which is hard to do when you add this extra music and special effects. It's nothing personal! Hope I helped!

Thank you for your explanation. That helps. My intention is not to cover the ambient sounds with music. So I mix them in a way that the ambience remains audible. My intention is actually to support the mood of the video with the music. But maybe that is a wrong thought. Thanks again for the feedback, I will think about it. 😊
