I got a question on brands of pumps. I'm torn on getting a Carvin Sharkjet Series or a Hayward Ultra Pro LX, or Hayward Power Flo II, Turbo Flo II... Do you know about these and there life span, and quality and sound? Looking for an above-ground pool.
Thanks for your video. It will help me in the future but I have a pool service that cleaned the pool & sent me a text that the motor isn’t working and they don’t know why. What should I do? They said it could be motor or timer or electric but I don’t know where to start. Aren’t pool companies supposed to figure this out? Please help
So, I tried everything to get my pump to prime, and was thinking there was a air leak someplace. I even cleaned out the skimmer line thinking that was plugged, nope. I was about to give up and I looked into the skimmer and noticed the skimmer door was on the inside of the pool and tried to pull it in, it wouldn't. I looked at it and a piece of the foam on the door had moved out, not allowing it come come in where it was supposed to be, PROBLEM SOLVED! Well, it gave me a chance to clean everything out and make sure there were no clogged lines, made sure the impeller was not clogged, and of course sprayed down the filter cartridge. Moral of the story, check your skimmer and make sure nothing is blocking it or not allowing water to flow the way it should.
The issue with mine is the digital panel isn't coming on and the manufacturer told me there is a battery and fuse for that but didn't explain how to look. I can't find any video that shows how to check pumps fuse and battery for the digital interface... Since this isn't working my pump isn't turning on at all, do you know how to look in the unit to verify... It's a xtreampower US 3,100 gph sand filter 3/4 HP with timmer for 15,000 gallon pump?
I replaced the breakers and a new motor. It starts up fine, then motor kicks off after an hour or so... The breakers are not tripped. What could that be? Please Help...
The pump was leaking and I was not aware of it leaking until someone else noticed the motor was hot and the Hayward label was charred . . So now they said I have to replace the whole thing, and they didn’t even come check it out , should I check with another pool company?
Sorry about the long message the first one I do have a second question by any chance do you guys have information step by step guidelines I understand that you seek professional and everything else but I don't have that type of finances on ideas and a budgeting price range and heating or heating system free inground pool. Thank you so much for these short videos! They help immensely! I bought the course too. One question: this video says to clean the impeller. Do I have to take the pump apart to clean it or is there another way to do it? I have dogs so I would bet fur gets wrapped around it. I haven’t had trouble yet but only had it for a couple months.

Please I have problem with the pressure every time I run the pool pump no pressure except if I did backwash once I turned pump off and running again no pressure please help thanks
I started to work with a pool company about 2 months ago and we do a lot of weekly services and liners, one questions I have is how phosphates appear in pools and what’s the best way to get rid of them?
My sob left the pump running with skimmer lid open and sand filter valve open. Pump made a quick humming noise and now it won't turn on. Any ideas of what it may be?
Did you happen to figure out your issue? Mine is doing the same thing but only during the day. Once the sun starts going down it runs fine all night until it starts getting hotter the next day.
What I found was inside your skimmer there’s an outlet that was clogged with leaves , cleaned it out and it’s been working fine, don’t know if this will help you out
Great video! I’m new to working on my pool equipment...have a leak at one of the plugs on my Whisperflo. I bought new plugs & o-rings. I know to have pump off but my question is should I set the multi port on a different setting while changing plugs & should I use Teflon tape?
Hi, I’ve got a Davey XB 200 pump and I can’t see any bolts that holds the actual motor together, I’ve stripped as much as I can and need to replace the bearings… any help would be appreciated.
I have a pentair pump and is on a timer from 6 am --10 pm daily....on some days the pump does not shut off at 10 pm....the pump keeps running past 10 pm when it should be shut off.....any suggestions as to what I can do or check???
I have a consern about my pool pump. The problem is when i put my automatic vacuum the pump does to not wan't to suck in water. There are no clogs or anything.
My Intex sand pump lever part sounds awful while on backwash, sounds like something is clanking around inside there, and the water pressure isn’t constant like it pulses, runs fine on all other settings. Or so it seems
My pool pump would not prime and whenever it turns on no water comes through. What’s weird is when I turn it off very cloudy water fills up the pump and leaks out of the pump everywhere. I think it’s a bad o ring but I may be wrong. The water in the pool is clear not cloudy which is strange
Everything comes on and it rattles and it ain't coming back out the return. I'm soooo done with this. In my frustration I forgot to plug the hole up. I have an above fround
Mine would not start, reset breaker it would run but over a month it took several breaker resets to get it started. Replaced capacitor and that fixed it.

my problem is that my pool pump starts fine but if I have to turn it off for any reason and then turn it back on it will just hum. Hi. My pump is like 2-3 weeks old. It’s ran perfectly until today. I unplugged it then a few minutes later plugged it back up and did nothing. Later on this evening I plugged it up and it hummed for maybe 20-30 seconds I barely heard a click then it cut off. The casing where the motor is really hot too. Do you have any suggestions. I'm not sure if this is an uncommon pump problem: the diverter valves for the pool and spa mode keep cycling with the control panel(lights on the panel go on and off, in time with the valves moving). There is also a red flashing light next to the spa. Do you happen to know if this would be a pump issue or what kind of issue I am looking at?
