My glasses broke at Magic Kingdom. I asked a cast member and they told us to head to City Hall Guest Services. They called up an Engineer who gave us a fast pass for Space Mountain and by the time we got back he had my glasses all fixed up and cleaned and sparkling! Super helpful
I remember one time I was the last person to ride Tower of Terror for the night before they closed, and I the whole ride to myself! And it got stuck for like 20 minutes! Thankfully I didn't mind, I thought it was a lot of fun. After about 5 minutes I waved around and eventually, a cast member talked with me. It was honestly a super fun experience. Just me and this cast member trying to figure out what the problem was with the ride. And apparently, half of their staff was watching and listening to my conversation because when I got off everyone called me brave and funny and this and that and they printed out my pictures of me all by myself! I still have them to this day!! They also gave me two fast passes for me and my sister, and a Tower of Terror magnet!
We brought a new white backpack with sharpies in the pocket for signatures. It was a great way to collect them and have our kids show them off once we got home
Last week we got on Rise of the Resistance. After waiting for about an hour, I realized I really needed to pee. I tried to gut it out but during the first phase of the ride it became obvious that I wasn't going to make it all the way through. When we got to the "interrogation" part of the attraction I informed a cast member of my emergency. While staying in her imperial guard character, she escorted me backstage to an employee restroom (no pictures, she said). She tried so hard to stay in character throughout this errand but I was determined to crack her up and eventually did. I assumed I'd be removed from the ride altogether but the helpful cast members actually held my family off to the side and reunited us when the next group came through so we could finish the ride together. Magical!!
I used a rubber band to mark the next open page for a character to sign in the autograph book. That way the characters don’t have to flip thru the whole book and you will not have any blank pages. The characters appreciated it also.
For those cold days, I HIGHLY recommend a beach towel! Whether bringing one with you or purchasing one onsite ...they are multipurpose for some warmth, drying off, sitting in, or some shade if needed! Plus they are light and easily carried!
Love this! I worked at WDW as a Character Attendant, and I just wanted to add this- while characters usually CAN sign shirts, make sure you aren't wearing them! Bring the shirt with you in a bag, because they won't be able to sign it if you or your child is wearing the shirt (it also helps if you offer to help hold the shirt tightly so it's easier to write on, especially if they don't have a convenient surface near by) . Same with hats! Thankfully those are easier to take off in the moment :) edit: also make sure the item doesn't have anything inappropriate on it! Characters are not allowed to sign things that portray alcohol, violence, etc.
Lauren Anderson what are the right type of small gifts to hand out to characters and attendants? I know you all aren’t paid enough for what you do. And know how hard I have to save for us to plan to go, so if I save to go, I want to plan to spread the joy...
@@KissesFromCanada hey Sarah! Thank you for asking :) That is so sweet of you, and I know it always makes everyone's experience 10 times better when that happens. I've seen a variety of things! And essentially "anything goes" as long as it's not money or something inappropriate. Usually it's candy/chocolates, notes, cards, small stuffed animals, little crafts, or things like that! I've even seen mini gift bags that have candy and a note inside. Characters and attendants are THRILLED to receive anything, but it's definitely not required or expected. Also, a character will usually accept the gift and then hand it to their attendant for safekeeping.
@@laurenanderson8917 Next time I am at Six Flags, I plan to thank the folks in the characters. I will of course make sure only they hear it so I don't break the illusion for the kids.
They also sell chaffing sticks at Walmart in the band aid aisle. Ladies let me tell you this is really helpful for bra straps and even your neck area wear your purse straps rub. If you rub it on your feet it will help stop blisters. Don't forget some blister pads! My husband laughed so hard at me the first day of Disney on our last trip when I lathered up with that stick. The next day he was begging to use it too! 😂
During our Thanksgiving trip we had an amusing instance of the Skyliner stopping for a few minutes right as we had begun discussing how thankfully it had not happened. The kiddos enjoyed joking that Disney was listening into our conversation and stopped it for that reason.
Same happened to us. I liked to point out the "emergency kit" under the seat, which includes, among other things, an "emergecy toilet".... tempted to open it up
I laugh in Welsh whenever someone complains about the rain. Like seriously... at least when it rains it's warm. Here it rains and it's bloody freezing. And it rains for multiple days with out stopping most of the time. We had a first sign of sun for the year just before lockdown and my neighbours were confused over what the yellow ufo was. 😂😂
Was in Disneyland a little over a year ago. We were in line for the Disneyland RR, and had to wait on the next train due to it being completely full. Shortly after it left my son (6 at the time) lets us know he really needs to go the bathroom. We ran out of the line to get to the restroom, and got back just in time to see the next train pull up. People were totally understanding and cheered us as we made it back.
Also, for chafing, I can tell y'all that as a cheerleader, baby powder and the gold bond medicated powder helps with chafing. it is a little messy but it may be more accessible.
I've been a victim of the chaffing and it was painful!! Good call putting this in and providing the solution...I ended up stopping and picking up some light sweatpants but OUCH!!!
Awesome suggestions, but one which I didn’t hear was public lockers. An extra set of clothing will surely take away the concern for water rides and unpleasant weather! Cheers!
I'm sharing this information with my friends and family who might sometime or someday go to Disney World or Disneyland. I want them to be prepared for anything that may happen while they are there. Thanks AJ for the advice.
Great idea about shorts under skirts. I actually always wear them now for modesty, chaffing and sitting on public seats benches etc. there are tons of actual undergarment shorts for this exact purpose in thin materials
I got caught in one of those cold snaps while on vacation. During the day it was way too warm for sweats, but the nights got down to 40. The snag is packing those sweats and jackets around all day. You sure can't waste those hours it takes to go back to your room and get them.
I don't know if it's the same thing as the chafing stuff, but Dr. Scholl's Blister Defense stick is the best thing for your feet. I learned about it from a coworker who is diabetic, so she had to take good care of her feet.
I went to Disney World in Nov/Dec 2018, and it was around freezing one day and the weekend was 30C. I always find as a family that we have 10-20 snacks left at the end of our trip on the dining plan. It's just so much food.
5:51 Honey, I am constantly thinking about chafing! I cannot remember the last time I wore shorts to a gym or a skirt or dress without shorts underneath.
I love using up snack credits on the last day - we had intentionally saved a bunch as we were going to Epcot for F&W on our last day, but we still wound up with 5 or 6 left, so we went to Disney Springs after we were done in the parks and got treats for our families back home - i was really surprised with how many pre-packaged things you could use them on!
I've spent a lot of time there in December and January, and yes it can get cold, but seldom below 40ºF and certainly never cold enough for a scarf! Children are the real issue as they lose body heat much more quickly than adults.
Floridian here who lives about an one hour drive from Disney World. It can get cold sometimes even below 40F if your staying late into the night for after hours events or extra magic hours. I like to bring a light-medium pullover hoody or light-medium zip up hooded jacket for any weather under 70F just Incase. I find I sometimes get colder indoors at Disney then I do outside. When it gets below 55F - 60F I like to wear fingerless gloves and will sometimes bring a slightly heavier jacket. Iv lived in Florida my whole life. I do own a few scarves, but never have ever worn them, have worn my fingerless gloves way more often.
The last time I went to Disney, it snowed. We spent one week at Disney and then one week in the Everglades and it was 28F one morning in the Everglades.
When I took my mom on a 5-day WDW trip after Thanksgiving back in 2018, we knew a few days before our flights that the weather was going to be colder than normal, so we were able to pack appropriately. Nothing too heavy that you would be left carrying around once the day warmed up a little. We packed several thermal layers (long sleeved shirt, fleece jacket or similar, then a windbreaker of some sort that fit over everything). We also packed silk scarves that helped keep the chill our necks, which helped a great deal. The only thing we forgot to pack were gloves, but most of the time they weren't necessary anyway. The only time we really felt freezing cold was when we decided to watch the fireworks and pontoon boat parade from the shore at the Poly--that wind whipping off the lake was crazy cold, even for us (and we're from Wisconsin). I think the regular temps dropped to around 40 that night, and we were bouncing up and down to keep warm and very glad to get back inside. Basically dress in layers you can add or take off progressively throughout the day and you'll be fine.
Aj: Florida can get really cold sometimes Me: oh canada our home and freezing land. Ya it gets really cold here people in Florida have it easy their winter is like our spring and they also do not have to deal with black ice or 4 ft of snow for 6 months a year
i have gotten stuck in a skyliner myself for maybe 5 minutes and i can say it wasnt an unpleasant experience got to enjoy the views around me for a few minutes and relax a little before going to the next park. i wholly agree that patience is the key with getting stuck on skyliner/monorail
After getting caught in a down pour during my last trip i purchased some silicone shoe covers for my trip this summer. Nothing worse than walking around in wet sneakers!!! They were not too expensive. They fold up nicely and work great!
on a trip to Disney in 2016 we realized on our last night that we all had at least 3 snack credits each left! Needless to say, we looked like a bunch of rabid squirrels scurrying around trying to use the credits before check out!
i’ve been to disney world three times the first time was lovely it was perfect weather the second time was in the middle of a monsoon the third time (last month) was freezing and the hottest it was all week was 45 degrees but it was awesome every time lol
Any UK disney-goers - if chafing is a problem (can relate!), head to the baby aisle in Asda. They do a liquid talc called little angels, I swear by that stuff every year. August at Disney was a breeze last year thanks to that stuff.
For chafing I use silicone lubricant. Works so much better than any chafing product I’ve ever used. My favorite is uberlube. I have a travel one and keep it in my bag. Works great for chafing and you can use it in your hair as well!
6:42 Petroleum jelly, people! Any nitrogen-infused gelatin product will do, really. Yeah, the restroom issue. Since I'm sure they would frown upon bringing chamber pots, it's better to save your drinks and such for when you're not waiting in long queues.
For the snack one - make sure those snacks get packed in your checked bags, otherwise they will have to go through screenings at the airport. Also, don’t think you can get drinks for the plane - they’ll get thrown out.
1 to 1 mixture of Aquaphore and Gold bond is almost magic for chaffing relief after the fact. But you’re right keeping the area dry and using glide or gold bond is the best thing you could do for yourself during the summer.
AJ: "Orlando can get cold." Me: Walking around here at -5 degrees in Anchorage...🙃🙃🙃😂 Although, I will say that California caught me by surprise when I was there in January so who knows.
Caden Price I just got back Saturday and yes, Orlando can get cold! I didn’t pack anything heavier than a pair of leggings and a lightweight cardigan. Coming from Seattle, I was surprised
I’ve went in dec and one day was good to swim the next we had on jackets it’s tricky there just like California early am and nights there I wore jackets had no swimming days
A weird problem too is when it storms during the summer season and then all the outside rides are closed, then you have to use those fast passes by the end of the day and a lot of rides you’ve probably already done or you can’t use on certain rides.
I can attest to two different times when Florida weather changed dramatically from what was originally forecasted. I packed accordingly to the forecasted weather (I triple checked the day prior to leaving home) and ended up purchasing a lightweight rain jacket for nonstop rain/monsoon for five days! The weather was forecasted to be full sun everyday, it was not! Another time purchased a delightful Disney jacket, scarf and gloves when the January weather turned much colder (45-50 degrees with a 15-20 mph cold wind). I'm from Pennsylvania, so when I say it got cold, it was cold!! That's definitely not what was forecasted prior to our trip. We still had a wonderful trip both times! 🙂
Whenever I go anywhere on vacation I always pack a black zip up in my bag that I’m going to be using that day. It’s less bulkier than a pull over and if it starts raining or it gets cold I can grab it out and I have more room for souvenirs
When my 11 year old son was around 5 years old my wife, son and I were on the Casey Jr. Train ride in Disneyland and it broke down. We were stuck on the tracks and we heard those dreaded words "Mom, dad..I need to pee real bad". We were like "oh my god...what do we do". Well, luckily we were in the very back of the train and no one was really around us. So he literally pulled his pants half way down and peed in to the bushes that were on the side of us from the back car of the train. We still laugh about it 6 years later.
I have taken a very light weight blanket in the winter. I can fold it & use as a scarf or cover my legs during shows if chilly. Also good if roommate's are hot natured!
We have success with this method when getting caught in a que line and needed a bathroom stop. One of us takes the child in need, then uses the fast pass lane on the return to catch back up with our party. My husband is most comfortable asking to do this. He's never had a cast member not agree, just make sure you explain on the exit so they remember you when you return. Sometimes they catch us in line, sometimes they meet up at the fast pass and regular line merge. This avoids having to excuse yourself past so many other guests in order to return to your place in line. We've also used the fast pass line to exit. Same idea, allows a less crowded space to walk out.
Please do video like - 1 food itenary for ddp 2 combined itenary for fast pass, adr, And video to tell how much time should we plan for A. Fast pass ride B. Different rides without fp C. Adr. / counter service D. Time taken to travel in disney E. Updated vegetarian video F. Dress code in restaurants etc. G. Best restaurants in each park. H. What to do with leftover snack credit I. Food trucks If you agree then copy and paste this in every dfb video you view.
It's so true about those chilly days. We're frequent visitors and I've found that 50's in the evening with no sunshine is where I really start feeling cold. On those evenings I definitely want a sweatshirt and scarf. 60's evenings without sun feels like a light cardigan. This is so easy to tie around my waist the rest of the day. I've been known to pop it on in line during the day or indoors. On warm days they AC can be really cranked up and if you're in line or dining for 45+ minutes that feels pretty long to be cool. AJ's suggestion of a scarf is so true. A warm neck makes all the difference for me. I almost always travel with a scarf, but forgot mine last time. Figured I'd spend an arm and a leg to pick up something down there but found a great deal in Epcot at the France pavilion. $29 reversible black and gray. No gaudy theme park colors or logo'd merch. If you're gonna have to buy make it something you'll still wear at home.
My sisters and I took our Dad to WDW last October and we were given a terrific tip. We brought an WDW 2019 autograph book that can hold photographs. I made sure to plan lunches with characters (yes, including the Princesses) and Dad had a very good time. We took photos and made sure to fill in the book with photo memories and gave it to him after we got back He cherished that book and made sure to tell anyone who asked how much Belle liked him. Dad passed away 1/27/20 and my sisters and I relive the "adventure of Disney with Dad" each time we get together. (BTW, we stayed at the Art of Animation Cars resort and it was great.)
Bee Bricks to be fair we had a trip where it was reading warm weather until we were already traveling on the plane and it was a freezing trip. We bought lots of layers
Florida weather is famously temperamental and weather reports in the orlando area are frequently inaccurate. It's not uncommon to get intense but short-lived squalls of 20-30 minutes on days with 0% rain forecast. TL;DR don't trust Orlando weather reports. Bring options, wear layers.
Weather reports are unreliable. Ours in December said 70s by day and 60s at night for the whole trip. Reality was mid-80s most days and 70s at night, until one night it dropped to 45. Merch shops were struggling to stock sweatshirts cuz they were flying off the shelves. All the Christmas ones were gone and they brought out the New Year line early! So, you might not get to choose the perfect souvenir sweatshirt, you may just get what you get.
7:21 I got stuck on the wrong side once right in that spot at Country Bear Jamboree and my parents were at Mickey's Philharmagic (I was getting my bag that I left at CBJ) and I came out and the Festival of Fantasy (I think that's what it's called) had started and I couldn't get around so I had to run down through Adventureland to the front of Main Street to beat the parade there just so I could get to the other side. What should've been a 2-3 minute walk ended up being about 10 minutes and we have been there twice when it has been just near freezing or below and we have had snow while being there
My one son suddenly had to go to the bathroom while in line for Toy Story Midway Mania. We had already been in line for an hour and were almost to the point of getting on the ride. My husband took him to the bathroom and let a cast member know the situation. They allowed my husband and son to go back through fastpass so they didn’t have to wait. My other 2 sons and I stayed in line and rode the ride with my husband and son just a few minutes behind us. While we didn’t get to ride all together, we still all got to ride. I was super grateful they didn’t have to wait again!
Speaking of being cold in Florida. We took a trip to Disney in June of 2016 and stayed at the camp sites at Fort Wilderness. We were in a tent. The first 3 nights we were there we were absolutely freezing at night! I couldn't believe it! I would've NEVER expected to be cold outside in Florida in the summer! It got down into the mid 60's (or a tad lower) I think. It was nuts, and completely unexpected.
@@kiwiawheeler8661 yeah. It sure is. Especially if you grew up in Alabama and have been many summers to Florida! And mid sixties is a guess, maybe it was mid 50's! I didn't look at a thermometer! But I refuse to believe it's even possible on a freak chance for it to be that cold in June anywhere in the southeastern U.S.! All I know is we were teeth chattering shivering and huddled together for warmth the first three night of that trip, and roasting alive sweating balls for the last three nights of it.
Note on character autographs at the parties--not all obscure characters sign. They'll give a pre-signed card for some of them (I got one for Nick Wilde & Judy Hopps at the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party).
@@catherynr530 Specifically antiperspirant. Basically any "white stick" style deodorant. Spray-type won't do it, and the clear/gel kind tends to melt/not last as long in my experience but YMMV. Hope this helps!
Funny you mention weather, I live near Disney, it's literally just up the street a ways. Yesterday the high temp was around 84 degrees and it was bright & sunny. Today, it's rainy, overcast and we'll be luck to see low 60's. Days like this keep the tourists away and only the hard core parkies come out.
I'm excited to go back to Disney World at the end of September! Hopefully Rise of the Resistance will be on FastPass by then. Especially with the two new rides opening this year.
Here's some advice for people going to Disneyland - Southern California can get cold sometimes, too. This year, San Diego got record low temperatures. Also, when I took a trip to visit San Diego and Los Angeles in late May/early June last year, I had to bundle up to go to DAYTIME games at Dodger Stadium and Petco Park. I didn't do Disney on that trip, but I went to the La Brea Tar Pits and San Diego Zoo and ended up buying long sleeved shirts in the souvenir shops in both places. It turns out that this part of ths country calls the weather of those two months "May Gray and June Gloom". The only one of my 7 nights there that I saw a decent sunset was the first one, when I observed it from my incoming flight.
OMG! Yesterday we froze at Animal Kingdom!!!!! The baby care center saved us for a while, quiet and warm. We of course wore forced to buy even blankets !! Unbearable and unpredictable cold day. People didn’t even waited for Rivers of light, and the lines for coffees were outside the stores
WARNING.. We went to Disney around 12 years ago Thanksgiving. It was 40 degrees (during the day!) for 4 days and I heard even snowed one night! Also all Disney pools were not heated at that time which I believe has changed now. Our garden view room at GF the show water never got hot only luke warm, so it was a cold 4 days!
Last time I went to Disney my legs chaffed to the point that they were bleeding while at animal kingdom so even though it doesn’t seem like an issue, it can be a real problem because Florida is hot and humid.
Do characters at character dining sign autographs? Our first trip (since I was a kid in the 90s) is in June and I’m not sure how the character dining works (but we have one books almost every day) Thanks I LOVE the channel and have been watching everyday since we decided to head to WDW!!
DFB has some great videos on character dining that you should definitely watch but basically don't worry about chasing them around, they have a set rotation that hits every table. Depending on which one you might see them once for a few times. They're all great experiences for different reasons.
Hey, weird question. I went there 8 years ago and they had these charm bracelets that you could find charms throughout the parks. Did they get rid of these?
I never thought of bringing chafing cream but to think of it, that sounds like a real life saver cause that happened to me last trip and it wasn't fun. I'm going to put that on my packing list this trip!
Two signatures I really want are José Carioca and Panchito Pistoles (and of course Donald but he's definitely not as obscure as the other Caballeros) and last I heard they were at WDW but I've heard many different things. Does anyone know for sure what the deal is with them?
Once when we where was on a skyline and we was stuck on it for 20 mins and it was shaken and it was over a deep pond I have scared for my life We are ok :) but the day after that a skyline crashed into another one 😬 then later people got stuck on why line for 3 hours
thank you for this video but i do have one thing to ask you. Can you make a video about heavy people and which rides can one ride at the four parks and what to do when one can't fit on the rides do they do something about it cause i don't think that they would embarrass the individual rides like kali rapids or stuff like that because my wife judy and i are big people
Philip Stylianou thanks for asking this! My hubby and I are also large. I have anxiety about how the heat and walking and standing all day are going to go. Yes, I plan to get more steps in to prepare for the trip, but sometimes I just gotta face facts. If a ‘hatter’s gotta hat’...what’s Disney like when your ass is -- ;)

Oh wow. The bathroom issue. Happened to myself and my mother on our most recent visit to DCA, AJ. Thank goodness the CM's were SO understanding, they escorted us out of the line and escorted us back to the very FRONT of the line (we are talking front [top] row center, AJ) for Soaring when this happened to my mother. No, you can't always COUNT on this, but 99% of CM's will work with you when something like this happens. Oh shite. I forgot to write down the name of the CM who helped us and made sure she got an attaboy with Guest services. I feel like such a heel now. So, if you other viewers have this kind of magic help you... REMEMBER THEIR NAME AND GIVE THEM THEIR PROPER RESPECT! They DESESERVE it! @ 06:15 Chafing. Not something people from colder climes seem to be aware of. But since I live near Disneyland, CA, yeah. AJ has a point here. The one alternative I would point out other than balms or other chemical solutions is to be aware of your body. Wear something where you have one or more layers of cloth between parts of your body that might rub. Be aware of what your body is telling you, if you are sweating a lot or not. These two hints can help keep you from getting into a chafing situation before the chafing starts. It is a situation where an ounce of prevention is worth *MORE* than a pound of cure folks. 08:30 there is one other option AJ has not yet mentioned at this point. Either the Disneyland or Magic Kingdom Railroad. Oh. wait. The MK Railroad is still down because of the TRON coaster construction. But once that is back up, it is a fairly good option to get around to the other side of the parade route. @ 10:40 um, yes, AJ. people such as myself, from the sun belt, really can be surprised by waves of cold air coming down from canada. It happened two years ago when I came to disneyworld for the first time since the 1980's after a star trek cruise. This sort of thing happens, DFB fans. Be prepared, or be a tourist-cicile.
When i went to disneyland last year my family and i got cold and ironically were from wyoming where its winter 3/4 of the year lol. But in due defense cali and florida are coastal and can get cold during the night as they say due to the water and wind etc. Dont go during a hurricane lol. My family and extended went to disney world as hurricane matthew came and we were there when it hit land and came in. A lot and i mean A LOT of rain. We have some ok days. Bring raincoats, change of clothes for when you get wet, wear sandals or something for when ride a wet ride then change back to shoes after. Dont burn either if you tan easily! So much more but ya weather changes in the coastal areas.
Chafing is the WORST in Disney!!! The weather combined with all that walking used to leave me with blisters on my thighs. Deodorant and Gold Bond medicated powder are my favorites, total lifesavers on those rope drop to park close days!
Gold Bond also has the same type product as Body Glide. Much cheaper and works the same. You can buy it at Walmart or drug stores. It was a life saver for my husband when we were on the Appalachian Trail.
When I went last April for my 30th birthday a security cast member laughed at how I had a cardigan in my backpack. I told him I’m always cold, and I definitely was at night time. 😆🙈Definitely layers at Disney World.
I chaffed SO BAD the first day of our week-long vacation! I spent the rest of my vacation in BBall shorts and and slathered in baby powder from the resort store.
My glasses broke at Magic Kingdom. I asked a cast member and they told us to head to City Hall Guest Services. They called up an Engineer who gave us a fast pass for Space Mountain and by the time we got back he had my glasses all fixed up and cleaned and sparkling! Super helpful
wow thats awesome!
Diane Santiago that is what Disney service is supposed to be :)
Wow. That was Awsome of them. Did you even have to pay?
Or be more responsible next time 😒😠😡
Did not have to pay. It was only the screw that fell out but they had all different eyeglass parts available.

We brought a new white backpack with sharpies in the pocket for signatures. It was a great way to collect them and have our kids show them off once we got home
Last week we got on Rise of the Resistance. After waiting for about an hour, I realized I really needed to pee. I used a rubber band to mark the next open page for a character to sign in the autograph book. That way the characters don’t have to flip thru the whole book and you will not have any blank pages. The characters appreciated it also.
I once got "stuck" on the side of Frontierland with Big Thunder while the parade was going on. My sister and I rode without a line 5 times in a row.
Nerdicane that’s amazing 😂
Nerdicane wow lmao
For those cold days, I HIGHLY recommend a beach towel! Whether bringing one with you or purchasing one onsite ...they are multipurpose for some warmth, drying off, sitting in, or some shade if needed! Plus they are light and easily carried!
You are one Hoopy Frood.
Douglas Adams was right. Always know where your towel is.
Thankfully those are easier to take off in the moment :)
edit: also make sure the item doesn't have anything inappropriate on it! Characters are not allowed to sign things that portray alcohol, violence, etc.
Lauren Anderson what are the right type of small gifts to hand out to characters and attendants? I know you all aren’t paid enough for what you do. And know how hard I have to save for us to plan to go, so if I save to go, I want to plan to spread the joy...
i'm going in march for a school music department trip and we got custom shirts for it. can't wait to get it signed from as many characters as i meet.

kit kat thanks for the tip!!
Great tip
Thank you!
During our Thanksgiving trip we had an amusing instance of the Skyliner stopping for a few minutes right as we had begun discussing how thankfully it had not happened. The kiddos enjoyed joking that Disney was listening into our conversation and stopped it for that reason.
Same happened to us. I liked to point out the "emergency kit" under the seat, which includes, among other things, an "emergecy toilet".... tempted to open it up
"Florida can get freezing cold"
*Laughs in Canadian*
It’s more the sudden change that sucks 80 in the morning to 40 later
In Chicago we got a day last year that was -55 degrees that summer we got a day that was 105 degrees.
I was about to comment this exact thing.
I went to Disney during winter, and I was so hot, just because I am so used to the Canadian weather
Who else loves the fact that every video AJ posts, she always tells us to be kind to and respect the Cast Members❤️
Frank Yi that is the kind of spirit I hope to find in other Disney guests!
Also, for chafing, I can tell y'all that as a cheerleader, baby powder and the gold bond medicated powder helps with chafing. it is a little messy but it may be more accessible.
I love when Disney is freezing, it happened on my senior trip, got to ride splash mountain 6 times in a row because nobody was going on lol
I've been a victim of the chaffing and it was painful!! Good call putting this in and providing the solution...I ended up stopping and picking up some light sweatpants but OUCH!!!
Jamie in_ Wonderland even deodorant works great
Awesome suggestions, but one which I didn’t hear was public lockers.
The bathroom issue (Weirdest Problem #1) in this video illustrates perfectly that unless you go before you go, you'll need to go while you go.
I don't know if it's the same thing as the chafing stuff, but Dr. Scholl's Blister Defense stick is the best thing for your feet. I learned about it from a coworker who is diabetic, so she had to take good care of her feet.
I love the wrong side of the parade problem 😂 as a former CM this happens ALL THE TIME and is always a difficult one to fix
I always pack a small Gold Bond powder for the dreaded chafing, cheapo rain protection, extra socks and a hat!
Richard Mercer for a lot of people (myself included), any weather below 70° is considered cold enough for a scarf 😂😂😂
@@joshdavidprado Thanks for the point of view! Having grown up near Cleveland OH, I enjoy cold weather and don't need a scarf unless temperature is
Joshua Prado you really like hot weather!

Me: oh canada our home and freezing land. Ya it gets really cold here people in Florida have it easy their winter is like our spring and they also do not have to deal with black ice or 4 ft of snow for 6 months a year
I learned about chafing sticks from another DFB video. What a game changer! Use one all the time, at Disney or not.
i have gotten stuck in a skyliner myself for maybe 5 minutes and i can say it wasnt an unpleasant experience got to enjoy the views around me for a few minutes and relax a little before going to the next park. i wholly agree that patience is the key with getting stuck on skyliner/monorail

Although, I will say that California caught me by surprise when I was there in January so who knows.

The rain in Disney is not bad, it’s warm and honestly is refreshing when it’s humid and sunny.
14 days... I hadn’t thought about some of these yet! Thanks for the info!
June 2019, outside 93 degrees, inside Crystal Palace, 63!
Funny you mention a photo mat. I was just gonna write that’s what I did on my last time that I was at Disney for a picture of my husband and I.

Went to Disney in December and it was 40-50 degrees and it was glorious! Walked right on to Kali river rapids!
(BTW, we stayed at the Art of Animation Cars resort and it was great.)
was just there a few weeks ago. i looked at the weather report before i left and packed accordingly. it's not that hard to prepare.
What should've been a 2-3 minute walk ended up being about 10 minutes
and we have been there twice when it has been just near freezing or below and we have had snow while being there
My one son suddenly had to go to the bathroom while in line for Toy Story Midway Mania.

It was nuts, and completely unexpected.
mid 60s isnt cold but ok

Yup! Any marching band kid will tell you deodorant, gold bond, or baby powder between your legs is essential lol
What type of deodorant?? Do you recommend a brand?
@@catherynr530 I don't think so- I just use a stick one (from Dove) and apply it to the areas where chaffing would normally happen for me! :)
@@catherynr530 Specifically antiperspirant. Basically any "white stick" style deodorant. Spray-type won't do it, and the clear/gel kind tends to melt/not last as long in my experience but YMMV. Hope this helps!
Tiara Azmalan and Lily thank you so much! I really appreciate it!☺️☺️
Funny you mention weather, I live near Disney, it's literally just up the street a ways. Yesterday the high temp was around 84 degrees and it was bright & sunny. Today, it's rainy, overcast and we'll be luck to see low 60's. Days like this keep the tourists away and only the hard core parkies come out.
We got the deluxe dining which is three meals and three snacks a day. Waaaaay too much food
How's that too much?
codyskoff we just couldn’t eat it all.
Tassy McCormick we did the same our first trip. I ended up going home with a backpack full of deserts and snacks.
Froze for 4-days, and the last day was 91 degrees F, in the month of November 2003 ( wasn't expecting that, had to use the room heater).
Remember 50 degrees in Florida feels like 35 up north due to the humidity
Thanks for putting a bit of Disney in my day.
Just because it was on lol and why not lol
Our first trip (since I was a kid in the 90s) is in June and I’m not sure how the character dining works (but we have one books almost every day)
Thanks
I LOVE the channel and have been watching everyday since we decided to head to WDW!!
Yes! They do character autographs at the dining! You just have to ask!
Well, won't have to worry about cold in August when we go.
Two signatures I really want are José Carioca and Panchito Pistoles (and of course Donald but he's definitely not as obscure as the other Caballeros) and last I heard they were at WDW but I've heard many different things. Does anyone know for sure what the deal is with them?
Once when we where was on a skyline and we was stuck on it for 20 mins and it was shaken and it was over a deep pond I have scared for my life
We are ok :) but the day after that a skyline crashed into another one 😬 then later people got stuck on why line for 3 hours
Great list of problems! Lot's of people are not aware that these things might actually occur! Thanks AJ! 💝
thank you for this video but i do have one thing to ask you.

Will you update the Restrooms Video with the one in the Rise of the Resistance ride?
Chafing is the WORST in Disney!!! The weather combined with all that walking used to leave me with blisters on my thighs. Deodorant and Gold Bond medicated powder are my favorites, total lifesavers on those rope drop to park close days!
Gold Bond also has the same type product as Body Glide. Much cheaper and works the same. You can buy it at Walmart or drug stores. It was a life saver for my husband when we were on the Appalachian Trail.
Great tips!
We got caught in the cold on our winter trip and it wasn’t fun haha x
When I went last April for my 30th birthday a security cast member laughed at how I had a cardigan in my backpack. I told him I’m always cold, and I definitely was at night time. 😆🙈Definitely layers at Disney World.
Love your vids!!!! 😛🥰
Also I used to walk a mile home from school in the summer heat and any old deodorant can help with chafing, it worked wonders for me!
Going in November, will be packing layers, lots of them!
I chaffed SO BAD the first day of our week-long vacation! I spent the rest of my vacation in BBall shorts and and slathered in baby powder from the resort store.
