This was super helpful! I am using this w a 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grader. based on what I am hearing from everyone-i am skipping the ecosystems book until the next round. I found the adventures of planet Earth from Master books covers almost every aspect that ECC covers so I think I'm going to use that as our spine because it's a lot more visually appealing. I'm glad you mentioned that about the world geography book because I think I'm just going to make my primary focus to be more Hands-On with map work and seeing the kids try to memorize the locations and all the continents and whatnot rather than all of the details within the worksheets.
YES, I think that sounds like the perfect plan!! I just looked up that book, it looks like it would be a great substitution to use with this curriculum. I hope you guys have a great year!
