Cahal Pech, San Ignacio, Belize

After my visit with Mr. Jose Magana at Sak Tunich I'm heading back to my hotel in San Ignacio. On the way, I stop to explore the ruins of Cahal Pech, a Maya site dating from as early as 1,200 BC. It was abandoned around 900 AD. Much remains to see. Never mind that the name Cahal Pech means "The Place of the Ticks"; I didn't see a single tick. Come along and enjoy this site with me!
