I had a similar reaction when I fired one of these up the first time. Just about gave my mother a heart attack when I showed her four of these in parallel...
the wires are supossed to be no futher apart than 11 milimters at 3-4V, and around 20+ for 4-6. I've seen a video when guy had it on 2x3.7V=7.4V, but it's hard to tell if it doesn't shorten the life of the inverter. 6V should be safe.
I bought one of these because I wanted to build them into the headlights for my truck - to express how happy I was for the driver in front of me to pull out ahead of me and drive very slow.
had exactly the same reaction when I got mine, then made it into a hand held device with a 500mah 1s lipo, make wire electrodes that are at least 30cm away from the handle! then it's happy days
I tried it but it doesnt work (not with mine) These things are creating high voltage pulses. So you would have to store the whole energy in one capacitor which can hold this voltage and energy. you can build it with two metal plates and one 1-2mm sheet of plastic (PET should be good). But then theres another problem: the capacitor will discharge again and again because of the own resistance of the spark generator. So you will have to either rectify it or have a spark gap between the capacitor and the generator. But If you have just a spark gap it also doesnt work that well, because of this isnt only DC. I think inside of it is a cascade. This produces DC.But if theres a load on it (the capacitor is a load if there are just short pulses) then the cascade also produces AC. So it will be AC with a little bit amount of DC mixture. So it would be bether if you rectified it before putting it at the capacitor. And then finally you can make electrostatic expetiments with it. (you can use a very high resistor across the capasitor to limit the voltage and provent a damaging of the generator. This resistor should be around 1 G ohm (1*10^9) ohm. you can use a piece of wood as a variable resistor if you can move one contact on the wood).
From what I've heard, most of these are dead on arrival. I've bought three and out of those only one works. Putting 9V through it would probably be fine as long as you do it in short pulses.

🤣🤣
Lmfao, your reaction was priceless. Hahahahaha
Patrick Star hahaha im a bit shocked with full volumexD
I've seen the measured voltage of one of these and it's max is 10kv, pulsed dc. Oh, BTW they break within a few days.

Uhh, just realized dat I'm not the only one who gets kinda scared when the arcs jump. I own one too. And geez they are powerful
Great reaction. lol. I have my volume up and earphones in as I am fairly deaf and it made me jump. lol. Great vid. I ordered one last night.
Well, I know what to make some alarm clocks out of.
Erich Stein that's an amazing idea....

Lmao I might actually do this I can never wake up to regular alarms
1:17 I think he shit his pants 😂😂
Your reaction scared me too. 😆
Well done mate, It made me jump with my headphones on lol :) Going to order one now :)
+John Berry thanks. Yes it is loud, and good fun.
That reaction. I ordered one of the so called 1000kv inverters but I'm pretty certain it won't arc 30cm lol(displacement of air and all that)

Christina Owen you man mm I hope
Christina Owen how many minutes will a 500mah 1s run it? I was thinking a 5000mah 1s for myself
RIP my hearing! Thanks for deafening me! :-(
That was funny reactions 🤣
if you make the Out Put wires too far apart it will burn out
Can i use the diret corant ?
I think he pooped himself
actually, when working with coils the + and - doesn't matter since it is just a wire and no diodes have been placed since they would be useless.
Psycho Me this isn’t just a coil. There are tons of diodes in this unit
can this be used as static electricity generator?

Okay, I'm AWAKE! LOL :)
the two cabels need to be closer
That was the same reaction I had with mine.
400kv is 400 thousand volts not 40 thousand.
No need to scared that much
Is it only for 3v or can i put a 9v bat to it
It's rated for max 6 something volts but a friend of a friend made a taser/spider killer and uses it with a 9v battery without a problem.
NorwayVFX ok then i use a 4v bat at the end it goes not more. i come form germany sorry for my english 😞

What is name of this
Which is the positive and which is the negative terminal
The one on the left, and if that doesn't work, i meant your other left
Red is positive
Que susto parce, saltaste 😃😃😃
Spark gap to wide
It's not more than 30KV!!!
YOU JUST REALIZING THAT???!!
Formula is 1kV ~ mm. For 400kV shoud be 40cm spark. So don't typing whatever you want. We have enought sh*t on internet
🤣🤣🤣
how much voltage input in this video?
about a 3volt input.
+Matthew Lawrence i just ordered this .. can this thing turn people down? xD
Have no idea. But just the noise and look of it would make people think twice.
+Matthew Lawrence can you try it? .. i will subscribe tho .. but if you dont want to .. its okay .. still subscribed .. btw awesome vid
+Althewahyu thank your for watching. I'll see if I can do something.
It can't prodiuc 400k volts
1:09
Not 400 k
😂😂😂

KKKKK Que coragem KKK
People like this shouldn’t play with fireworks..just stick with cleaning your desk first...🙉🙊🙈🐵🐵🐵🐵🐵
Work on something more useful, this can only do harm potentially to you and/or others. It scared the crap out of me.
I'd say you don't have a drop of mad science in your veins.
This dude is seriously complaining.
