when people say colleen hoover glorifies it ends with us they’re talking about the literal coloring book she made about a book containing domestic violence. like? also when the movie was being marked like a romance movie, there were many non readers that went to watch it and a lot of them were convinced it was a romance movie. to colleen hoover, blake lively, and the marketing team the movie to them it was just a flowery fashion show. another point people say colleen hoover glorifies toxic relationships is her book november 9th.
ohh omg that makes complete sense i didn't realise she made a colouring book omg!! that's crazy!! I think i just struggle loads with the backlash on the book specifically as for me i felt it was so extremely eye opening and conveyed such a raw depiction of what happened. the movie i agree that was so bad omg and her other books especially ugly love are crazy. I don't support colleen hoover as a person or enjoy any of her other books (apart from heartbones which i read when i was younger) but i genuinely thought it ends with us the book itself was so important in shaping my awareness of such "relationships" as lily and ryle. i learnt so much empathy and knowledge from that book
