2 hours is pretty good actually. I used to have an Olight that cost me $200 , had half the lumens and ran off one rechargeable 18650 battery that drained just as fast. So you either have to wait to recharge, or carry an extra 18650 battery which isn't cheap for a quality/ high discharge one ,and you don't want to cheap out on these .
Just got this at Costco today I love this Flashlight it’s very strong and bright. BUT it’s not going to be my everyday flashlight giving the fact that it takes 12 AA Batteries I got a smaller handy bright Light that only takes 3 AA batteries and must easier to deal with but the Duracell flashlight will be my flashlight for power outages and emergencies. Best flashlight I ever got for sure
If you put the battery pack in backwards the flashlight will not turn all the way off. The LED lamp will stay lit at a very low level, so low it's hard to notice but it will drain your batteries. Turn the battery pack around and light will shut all the way off. Flashlight does get a little warm on high setting.
I purchased this about eight months ago, used it a lot and the batteries have lasted nicely. BUT the light bulb blew out and I can find no way to open or replace it. So basically, this wonderful flashlight is now useless. I will definitely NOT recommend that this 2500 lumens light be purchased.
This is a very very Dora flashlight. This is a very, very strong flashlight and I’m people criticize it but I have used a lot of flashlights in my lifetime and I’m only 31 years old. This by far is a monster it is a tank. Oh flashlight it’s indestructible it’s Dorville and it people are going to have their opinions, but at the end of the day every company is trying to compete with each other but this by far is the best flashlight I’ve ever owned in my 31 years so far
I just bought it. Needed a flashlight to do a patrol tonight. Just put the batteries in it and tested the soft touch garbage. I hate it. Will be returning it. I want a flash light that just turns on and off. Not one you have to cycle through all the modes each time you want to use it. When patrolling you don’t keep your flash light on the whole time. Your batteries won’t last.
You should take that thing outside put it on the tightest beam and see how far will throw it has Iver 1600 Lumen Fenix that looks brighter than that one
I have one and lord...12 batteries to run this bad boy. Does anyone know why they don't want you to use lithium rechargeable batteries...or is it a sales pitch for Duracell Batteries?
Well I heard reports about people who tried that and it ruined the flashlight completely I guess Duracell flashlights are pretty sensitive to rechargeable batteries
I bought this flashlight last month. Today my sister gave me a 3300 lumen flashlight from Best Buy. Brand is Police Security. I compared both flashlights and I think the Duracell is better. The Duracell seems just as bright or brighter than the Police Security flashlight.
In my opinion this is a waste because you can get a 20,000 lumen sofirn ec06 for 100$ that's just slightly bigger than your hand, comes with lithium rechargeable batteries and the flashlight is the charger! you basically plug your phone charger in the built-in port and your off but that is just my opinion and i personally wouldn't bother with such big brand flashlights because they are massively overpriced.
Yes 2500 looms is very powerful very nice wow I'm glad I came across this video you did a great job thank you for sharing it let's keep in touch your best friend 👍
Friend of mine reviewed this flashlight and tested it with a meter and said IT IS NOT ACTUALLY 2500 LUMENS….how does Duracell get away with marketing it as 2500 if it tests lower??
So, in order to turn it off you have to HOLD the button down for awhile? I thought pressing it a 4th time (after the flashing setting) turns it off, but it must do so momentarily. I thought I'd turned it off, so I set it down facing down (inadvertently covering emitting light) only to find it ON the next morning but batteries nearly drained. And that's happened TWICE now resulting in having burned up 24 brand new batteries.
Duracell makes flashlights in order to sell batteries 😂 some higher-end flashlights (Streamlight?) sell units that turn off after a set period & inform the user by ‘flashing’ before de-energizing.
Hey I thought you did a great video I didn't realize that door still had flashlights I came across your video by accident you Peeks my curiosity that's a lot of lumens thank you for your time and sharing this video ❤️👍👌🖐️😎
no way to put a c battery in this. 12 batteries means it will run longer. it probably needs only 4 or 6 batteries and the extra are for the extra brightness when needed and the longer running time when not on so bright
i took it outside last night to walk the dog... this thing is heavy... if someone attacked you and you hit them with this light- ouch... i was in a well lit garage with lights and cars... the flashlight did not help much there. I walked outside where it was nighttime dark. the Light was very good... NOT light a police car spot light but it was bright. I saw someone in the dark walking towards me. I turned on the light and he turned around and walked away... This light is bright... it could be better but for the sale price of $17 this thing is awesome
Recently purchased one from Costco, just prior to watchin this. Haven't opened it yet; may do so now thanks to your review. My only concern is its 8 AA battery supply. Yes, AA's aren't too expensive but still... . If it can't hold up at max output for a reasonable amount of time, that's a deal breaker IMO at least for me. Regardless, thanks for the review and hopefully its usefulness as a 'self defense' weapon as you might describe it won't be needed any time soon.
Sorry guys not trying to be a hater here, but this is garbage light with poor IPX rating and Low performance characteristics. Lumens are the most useless rating for real world performance. With a max cd rating of only 10K, even a modern LED maglight that only uses 3D cells is already better than this. 12 AA batteries for just 2 hours of operation? Your much better off getting a rechargeable Li power light at 2.5x the price and 3-5x the performance since the battery cost alone will make those lights cheaper. Just my humble opinion.
You're absolutely correct, the battery cost alone will break the bank. I personally am a big fan of Nitecore. Fenix and Olight both make very high quality lights. They are more expensive and you get what you pay for. Most take 18650 rechargeable batteries, which are more upfront, but I bought 4 Samsung 18650s for about $8 each and have been using them for the last 2 years, with hundreds of recharges. And the 2 flashlights and headlamp have never let me down.
Same just got it on Sunday afternoon. It was my first Duracell flashlight since the last 300 version I had broke down on me after a few years of use so it’s nice to upgrade to a newer model. But I’m defiantly picking up a 24 pack of AA batteries soon so I can have them as backup since this thing has 12 batteries besides that I’m enjoying using this flashlight so far
@@bubbalo3388 that’s why I have a Handy bright flashlight as my everyday flashlight and the Duracell is used a couple times a week because 12 AA batteries get expensive fast with daily use. And my handy bright only takes 3 AA I rather use that one and save $15 or $20 on a 48 pack of AA batteries from Costco
Duracell "Hey how could we get people to buy more batteries?"
"Lets make a flashlight that burns 12 batteries in 2 hours!"
yes

It’s on sale again, I have 4 of them, it’s an incredible flashlight. I also love the smaller 3 pack of Duracell flashlights they sell

What is nice, is that if a battery leaks, you can clean the contacts, near impossible with the Eveready 1500

That's clearly not 2500 lumens check the beamshot of the Trustfire mc3
Thanks and welcome
I bought the big one for my job. I like it.

they go inside

Still cheap af man. Other same strength lights around 40-140.
On sale on Costco for $20
Yeah, there's so many ways to get that ANSI rating. Even Maglite is doing it. I more or less half all the numbers I see.
Omg! This flashlight is brighter than my future.. 🧐
that was funny in a sad way

Your battery pack was in backwards. Dumb design. Should only allow operator to put battery pack in one direction.
I'm wondering will this flashlight will be similar brightness like the Nebo redline blast flashlight
I found a coast flashlight close to the same lumens as that Duracell but the coast is pocket size
I wonder if it gets pwm flicker on max brightness as the batteries lose voltage or you are using NiMh batteries at 1.2
I'm wondering can you run that flashlight on 26 650 batteries
That would be nice, but don't know if it takes 18 v or 6v, if it takes 6v that will be 2 26 650 ~ 8v
yep, the lightsaber flashlight
this thing is huge
You should tested at night for better demonstration
10,000 means candela lumens intensity

I AGREE- for the price it is good-for that brightness the 8 AA batteries makes sense. they used to make these with 4 D or 4 C cell batteries
use recharable battery don 't use these with flashlight

How about using rechargeable batteries?
What specific light would you recommend?
