What I like now from victor with star gate, is that the deck now encourages you to use all your resources because zubat will most of the time will give you resource back, thus I'm happy playing victor now. With that said,besides luck and hand, you can have a chance to beat victor by if your deck can, to grade stall, to rushing and finding a way to neutralize the front row.
Being a victor player, Scharhrot is probably one of the more annoying match ups to play due to not only guard restricts but also some of the early power gain rushes that deck could pull off.
Accurate as possible, but I guess one extra tip would be to try and force them to use seabreeze or let them ride into g3 first cause they scale the moment they stride Winning Champ, they can go from like 5 hand cards to 11 while swinging like at least 5 attacks.
Solemn Vanguard I guess that would be true but wouldn't that slow them down a little bit? like CB2 for seabreeze, CB1 for Zubat and assuming the player has no soul blast cards, he wouldnt be able to proc the draw from Zubat. Although its just a thought.
When regalia gets support use the qwentet wall like card to boost your vanguard to high amounts making their multi attack worth nothing also pretty ok against DI

Yeah if we have sebreeze and a face up damage, we could still create a field and rush damage. But if you survived, stay on g2 next turn, aim for the rg and stall as much as possible and deny them from striding before finishing them off with your own stride.
i am a Victor main, i always played it, nova is my clan, and i think i can say, yes, what you said is correct, take down our rears when you can, even attack them with van, don't be afraid, nova can't win whit the vanguard alone, tho we have zubat that fills board a "bit"..... After playtesting, as you sad, i noticed that once we begin, you finish, so, just finish us before we do kill you, that's all... Gredora has still a good machup because that deck doesn't allow to call and that is the problem, but apart from that, maybe only chaos can really put nova in a bad spot, unless luck i REALLY on your side ma boi will take you down! yes this is my favorite deck, sorry if i sound too much like a fanboy hehehe ;)
well the think with victor you need to look at is the amount of counterblasting the deck needs to do on their 1st stride. I have found out that the ideal amount of damage on stride 1 is 4. that is enough to seal the game 95 percent of the times. As for weaknesses. do take mind that the victor is usally not able to call early game because it will be attacked to death, and since kabutron usually moves to the side the deck has a weakness against 10k grade 2
Messiahs with the new support could beat victor since they get a ton of hand advantage from the new support and attack power that forced the victor player to drop a lot of cards especially if you can make them drop the Blau unlock Crit trigger. Also transelse is an option
Messiah doesnt lock the opponent that much. They can but they have to sacrifice agression in order to lock the field. Victor can set up the g guards to unlock a column and the unlocker crit, with all the draw victor can do it isnt that much of an issue. The match is reduced to who can rush harder and faster. Hand advantage doesnt make a difference. Both decks draw and both decks force you to guard a lot.
How about beating Gallop/Cosmic Hero decks? Since I've come to know good decks will reach crazy amount of power to force heavy guards and use skills that will retire your rear-guards on hit, forcing you to retire a rear-guard when guarding, or retire your guardians and negate perfect guards. In fact, I've learned many Cosmic Hero decks now run 8 stand triggers as they worry less about crits and more about just overpowering you with the power creep. So I am wondering if you know ways to beat it
Well you can get around Victor with eradicators (or at last I manage) if you can get him/her to call rearguard early while you rash his vanguard on great 1 and 2 and then you have to tempest bolt the sh*et out of him/her. Yes it sounds strange but you have to make your opponent use up hand as much as possible, even Victor’s stride gets you only one rearguard to play at best. After that finish with Zillion(he isn’t GB restricted so easy win against weak hand). This strategy works around 70% of the times for me but than again I do have hell of a luck with any Narukami deck😅
I've designed an eradicator rush deck a while ago, and zillion is the only stride I ever use, because zillion vg plus sigma rg in a 16-crit deck is often gg if you go second.
How effective exactly do you think Gredora would be against this? Locking out one of their columns could really hurt their restand consistency unless I'm mistaken and they can get around it somehow.

And man i tried alot new chaos vs new victor and it's practically a 50%-50% in win rate considering that it lock more than victor can unlock, and doing stride using close into chaos universe you just destroy his bard and hand (it becomes even worst with deluge) and if the opponent's remaining rear-guards have resist you just use globuladia and lock the remaining 1/2 cards

I undoubtedly think this is gonna be one of the best decks but I’m still kinda of confused on why the chaos matchup isn’t in their disadvantage. Yeah they have two unlockers but they have to draw them and having limited access to both in the game. If they can get to unlock during the battle phase to counter most of chaos’ main phase lock, wouldn’t people start to tech in strange so that they lock the card they just unlocked plus if they can’t call anything if the whole board is locked, how can they utilize the crit? I’m just curious as a chaos player and I don’t want to just speculate false counters to a new meta contender.
Rawrgr XD face X3 mostly because Victor doesn't have to draw into the G guard, they can just flip it up with the 1st stride skill then flip it back face down next turn with it's own skill. Chaos cant keep their board locked down with the easy unlocking and how much they lose trying to defend against the nova rush, all while Victor builds hand with its various new draw skills.

They then need to have the crit to unlock any more and that's only 2 while taking away a cb. 2 open rear guard circles isn't going to give Victor an auto win. It just seems like Victor’s unlockers are not enough to consistently to make big combos with them wasting a turn to turn a gguard up unless they can draw the heal which I don’t think would fix the matchup enough bc they would be sacrificing hand advantage to play few units. It’s just unfortunate that it being rearguard reliant deck makes it hard regardless of a few outs.
its not hard to draw into a G guard(aka heals)with victor so long as they can get to stride winning champ because they draw so freaking much(dont forget drives). Counter blast is less of a problem because zubat can refund itself and draws if they do both soulcharge and countercharge. Even if chaos player manages to survive winning champ(which i think 80 percent would have lost that turn depending on trigger sack and what not) you cant forget that they can winning champ or GB8 on their second stride(this is the time where any good victor player would have done their mass unlock from there with their G guard first than the critical than start wreaking your face from there) at this point you are most likely dead(i've seen 12 cards in hand chaos player with decent amount of guard lost in that turn). So ya... in short victor is a cunt.

The blaster early game is really scary to be honest, speciall with stands T.T I also am not looking forward to ultima since ultima can call the flogals and stack the deck which is a terrifying thing to behold.
Solemn Vanguard They've had solid support over the course of the G series, but all bushi really did with Novas for the most part is figuring out how to attack the opponent more. The Stargate booster was bushi figuring out how to help Victor genrate and maintain solid advantage, as well as assisting them with hand trap. The resist on Golsachi was nice, but all the deck really needed was resist during the battle phase so decks like Kagero can't say no to getting kicked in the teeth by Favorite Champ.
You forgot a tip you know: Pray to the Victor player that they don't hit you hard enough to where damage carries over into your next game.

The Stargate booster was bushi figuring out how to help Victor genrate and maintain solid advantage, as well as assisting them with hand trap. The resist on Golsachi was nice, but all the deck really needed was resist during the battle phase so decks like Kagero can't say no to getting kicked in the teeth by Favorite Champ.
Because it has yet to top nearly as much as time leap did in gbt05.
