That wave at Cloudbreak 🤯still blows me away
I've watched that Caught Inside from Surfline more than 20 times, it's scary every time.
There needs to be a weekly Occ-Cast even if it’s just Occ talking story... or even Occy talking random surf with Mason Ho for color commentary.

Love to hear those big wave stories. What surfer hasn't been in those situations where you just hope there isn't another set wave behind? Luckily (or unluckily) at 66 years old I don't think I will be putting myself in that position again.

Have heard that story before about Healey in the dive contest off Smith's Beach - Yallingup. It is deep, & perfectly sharky sort of waters to those rocks offshore, a km or so,
not many would swim out there only total madmen really
His 2014 wave looks relatively tame now. He really pushes the mental aspect, super smart and focused. Occ has a great attitude and connection to his guests.

Vultures & maggots feed on carcasses. No heart beat's against the will of our Creator. Snuffing out beating hearts, destroying lives, feeding on carcasses isn't for me. I don't even remember, was Healey boasting about hunting wild pigs? They're herd animals. It wouldn't difficult to trap them in a pen, sterilize them and let them fade out by attrition.
