Jared you have really come a LONG way in this RUclips world. Congratulations brother, doing really well for yourself. I'm super happy to see you have moved pretty far along quite quickly. Awesome.
I used to own a 1969 Plymouth Satellite 318cc and the color was Snow White with a Blue interior. I love how that Satellite looks on White with all the chrome. What I did was I painted the lower portion of the panel black and the rear center of the trunk that was surrounded by the chrome trim. The front grill was hand-painted pint stripe the interior insert with red and just looks beautiful
Always look forward and love your videos Jarred. The best thing is you are all about MOPAR my favorite. Keep up with the great videos. Will always be a fan!
1970 Mopar paint colors were pretty wild. "High Impact" is what they called it: Tor Red, Lemon Twist, Lime Light, Blue Fire Metallic, etc. Any color will work, including Alpine White, but it needs the Mopar matte black hood and black rally stripe along the side to make it cool. For inspiration, review the history to see if any of those trim packages were used on that model. As rusty as it is, for a 50+ y.o. Mopar it's remarkably rust free. I owned a 69 Dodge Dart years ago and finding a front fender that didn't have a rust hole above the wheel well was all but impossible. (I wound up with a fender from a 68 btw) I would be curious to know what the original motor was in that car. My guess is a 383.
I love the 70 Mopars. I had both a green 70 Coronet that I had paint bright sunshine yellow and a 70 Satellite Road Runner clone that was Hemi orange. I prefer bright colors - but you knew that.
i loved the sponsor ad. that little fur ball is cute as heck. i would probably do battleship grey on the car. i kept thinking that a 318 4brl with a 3 on the tree would rock that thing. especially with that tiny rear end.
Black out all of the chrome bits on it and whatever color you go with will look great. That is one of the most menacing looking stances and styles of any car ever made! It will be a beauty when you are finished with it. Great call on this purchase, Jared!
The 83 plate/birthday coincidence is awesome. My coronet is a 68 which is the year I was born. It was put into storage in 1986 and had an 86 Kansas tag on it. which Is the year I graduated high school.
Jared, you gotta put that big block back into it's home when you are done with satellite road trip, that is too sweet of a lead sled to go away and since you do still have the original engine it belongs in it's original engine bay. You can always find another big block for the satellite out of something that is trashed. Heck come up to the rust belt, we have them sitting in rusted hulks of cars and the engines still good
Those cars are so cool that I think any color would look good! I look forward to seeing it come together. I'm sure O'Reilly's appreciates all the comments about your cute ad😁
YESSSS! I've bugged you a couple of times about this Satellite! lol I know you like the... Err... Rat Rod? style, but I hope you get her fully restored at one point. That said, will you also restore the Duster? That O'Riley ad is sooooooo cute! lol Don't think we have O'Rileys here in Québec tho. Oh! Oh! Oh! I'm a no-one! I would LOVE me a '71 Satellite! Complete base model, with the I6 and with front bench seat if they put those in the coupes! If you know, please tell me, I have a model kit project and I want to reproduce a base model with the front bench seat.
Can’t wait for the next series of videos with this car….leave the patina the way it is and just a good, light clear coat to protect it from here on out……..would love to see a HELL CAT ENGINE in this, but also canteen wait for the old drive train because of the next rally your in…loving the quality of videos Dewayne and Jarrett…. ❤
That bring back memories. My dad has a 70 Sport Satellite. So many road trips in that car. His was a dark red metallic with white interior. I think that is how you should go with it.
Hey Jarrod, I think you should Leave it White In a few years the new color will age the build. It would be worth a lot more money if left the original color.
Great project, the 70 Sport was a slick clean package, my opinion is the Sport with its red white & blue center bar on the grill to its chrome scallop on the quarters these are the subtle little details that need to stay subtle in its transformation. Just look at a Grand Fury Sport the colors and details all worked together as a "SPORT" package.
Hi Jared and friend of Jared !!! Nice car paint it Graphite the one that changes colors in the elevation 500 feet possible change to that color or around !!! So SPEEDY LOL
Based on my Handle you might think I will suggest Plum Crazy Purple... But I really like the paint scheme you suggested. A shiny "plain" (no metallic) gray with Gun metal grey details would be Awesome. And it would look so good next to Roadblock Pickup Charger. GO MOPAR!!
I shared a pic of my car that I'm bringing to Moparty this year. It was supposed to make it last year, but I ran out of time to complete it. I cut a hood and bolted it on today.
You got to go with one of hte 70's colors. My favorite is Plum Crazy. Had it on my 68 Charger (will argue that 68 was the best B-Body - especially the 68 Charger round Taillights.).
Engine Bay Jared go the complete opposite to the out side! So for example your nice idea of dark colours etc, but when you open the bay a absolutely mental neon yellow colour with the big block cleaned up and painted etc so it really stands out mechanically wise.
This Sport Satellite NEEDS to have a fun High Impact color instead of a modern drab grayscale color; the front runners for me is either FM3 Moulin Rouge (Dodge called it Panther Pink, which matches your last name!), or FJ6 Sassy Grass/GreenGo!
I generally don't watch advertising of any sort, but the puppy made me do it. Yes, any Mopar parts cost 3x what it would for a Chevy. I didn't know this going into my '71 Dart Swinger. I did with the '67 Barracuda, but I bought it anyway. Mopar had some of the best styling in those years. Not that Chevy and Ford didn't, but I feel Mopar had more of the best looking cars.
All the way through this I thought "This is the car you deserve to paint properly", so to hear your final thoughts was a smile inducing relief. But choosing a colour is the hardest choice to make for any owner, then choosing a contrast for coving the repair required chrome bumpers/fenders and doing the engine bay is far easier, gloss black. It's the follow it through logical choice . . . the later to be finished underside can be done to match all your fresh welding work, making it uniform & will sit well with the incoming contents from that trolley of boxed bits. Good bones make for great cars & if you're joking off camera about her it sounds like you must of bonded with her already. 18 month from now, close the build with an interior to match done with an anthracite piping.
Your making a purist Mopar man happy by installing a cast iron all American big block V8 in your old Mopar. The advantages of the modern Hemi are worth it, but you don't get the feeling like a old V8.
I just purchased the same car, same color from the original owner. Title was from 70s and I was super happy about the find. I have the non sport with a 318 matching numbers. I picked it up for 13k and drove it 2 hours home. Im debating between keeping it all original or putting a 440 in it. Im 28 years old living in the 70s!
Yes Jared I like the black chrome look on the brightwork, not flat black, but the colour you suggested for the body is not in my brains colour chart! Nor can I pronounce it! I like this project. Cheers 🇨🇦
glad you're yanking the italian engine out and going proper mopar. my first car that i bought at 15 was a '68 road runner and i think they look the best. i do like the '71+ style too.
Italian? The gen III Hemi was designed and built by Chrysler in the US. If you want to play the ownership game, it'd be German since it was developed under Daimler Chrysler.
You nailed it with the dog and O'Reilly's but you should really try finding a older Dodge powertrain out of the junkyard instead of taking the one out of the New Yorker you might even find older Dodge crate motor sitting on the shelf somewhere
As a colour blind person(Deuteranopia) I have to say I enjoy things being white, grey, or black. So really all the colour options work, I feel it would look nice to have basically all three on display from three different cars. Though also as a colour blind person I'd be perfect okay with you not taking my suggestion on colours, seeing as well. I'm colour blind.
This is dope Jared, those cars look so good. I have a 71 240z that I'm getting roadworthy alongside my friend who is doing the same to his 67 charger 318, so I'm very into this. My dad also had a 67 satellite he swapped a 440 into when he was in his 20s or 30s. I'm definitely biased as my car is white, but man, that aged white color with chrome just exudes cool imo. I think that's my favorite look on a lot of cars. Love that petina from the better angles too, but I imagine that'd be impossible to save since it sounds like you're doing the body work.
Any decent Mopar, '67-up, has an audience & gets good money. Both Taylor & Jared have seen the '69 Swinger I grabbed out of Texas. Transplanted 383 using M-code parts, the only thing that concerned me was the car had never been whacked, spliced together, major pieces missing, et cetera. I didnt pay the asking price, but it wasnt cheap or free. Am I happy? Yes.
Jared you have really come a LONG way in this RUclips world. Congratulations brother, doing really well for yourself. I'm super happy to see you have moved pretty far along quite quickly. Awesome.
I AM STOKED FOR THIS! What a great car to get rebuilt and modded by a great channel! Keep up the awesome work Jared!
I used to own a 1969 Plymouth Satellite 318cc and the color was Snow White with a Blue interior. I love how that Satellite looks on White with all the chrome. Hey brother! It's Anthony in South Florida. You made my wife's day with the dogs in the O'Reilly's commercial! Thanks brother!

Color choice is perfect, idea for drivetrain is perfect. Can't wait to see it running.
I love the 70 Mopars. I had both a green 70 Coronet that I had paint bright sunshine yellow and a 70 Satellite Road Runner clone that was Hemi orange. I prefer bright colors - but you knew that.
YES! I know there are a million muscle car rebuild channels out there. This looks like a good project
👍 👍 👍 👍
i loved the sponsor ad. that little fur ball is cute as heck. i would probably do battleship grey on the car. i kept thinking that a 318 4brl with a 3 on the tree would rock that thing. especially with that tiny rear end.
My dad had a four door Satellite. Besides the holes in the floor, it was a great car.
Easier to pee while traveling.. 🤷♂️😂
Holes add character right?
@@ryangunter8154 sPEED holes.

Oh, for the color. Vitamin C with the chrome color you talked about. That would also rock! ^^
You guys are making me feel old bought my 70 roadrunner in 1973, with 383 4 speed+ B5 blue color. I'll be watching this build seriously.
I strangely need to go to O’Reilly’s today. A good puppy told me to, so now I have to.
This has to be the cutest add I have seen in the last years, Jared as long as you keep those puppies in your adds I will watch them 👍👍👍
I'm thinking your color choice is perfect can't wait to see this one come back to life!
That bring back memories. My dad has a 70 Sport Satellite. So many road trips in that car. His was a dark red metallic with white interior. I think that is how you should go with it.

Best O'Reilly ad ever!!!! 🤘🏽🔥💚😀
I love the way you did the O'Reilly's ad! I'm a true dog lover, so you have my nod of approval. 👍
Your dog stole the show on this one! Fun hanging out with you as always sir! We’ll have to do it again soon!
The O'Reilly add was WAY too cute!!! I'm not too far that store! Lol Go Dawgs!!
Hi Jared and friend of Jared !!! Nice car paint it Graphite the one that changes colors in the elevation 500 feet possible change to that color or around !!! So SPEEDY LOL
Now this is what I want to see!
Loving the look of this project... and yay, another '83!! Excellent year...
Wow, what a fantastic restoration project!🤩
Another 70 satellite series?? Siiiiick looking forward to this!
Based on my Handle you might think I will suggest Plum Crazy Purple... But I really like the paint scheme you suggested. A shiny "plain" (no metallic) gray with Gun metal grey details would be Awesome. And it would look so good next to Roadblock Pickup Charger. GO MOPAR!!
Love that your finally coming over to the dark side. Welcome to the Mopar family!
I loved seeing your doggos in the sponsor spot and I love seeing cars from my youth staying out of the salvage yards
Can’t wait to watch this build. Please tell me this car will be getting an air grabber hood!
That was very clever, I bet not one person skipped that sponsored ad. 👍Now that's a very cool VER HICLE!
1983? Dude, I was a junior in high school when that car was new! Bwahaha! It's a cool build and I think the 440 is perfect for it!
I shared a pic of my car that I'm bringing to Moparty this year. It was supposed to make it last year, but I ran out of time to complete it. I cut a hood and bolted it on today.

I'm really happy for Jared. He's a decent fella.
My first car was a 1969 Plymouth Fury III, I’m 42. Love these big old mopars!
❤❤❤ the oreillys commercial was top tier. 😍 puppies
That is a good looking motor ! Wouldn’t fit on the roads in England but it’s a looker !
Anthracite and gun metal chrome sounds sick! Also glad that car is getting a big block
the ad is the greatest thing ever
This Sport Satellite NEEDS to have a fun High Impact color instead of a modern drab grayscale color; the front runners for me is either FM3 Moulin Rouge (Dodge called it Panther Pink, which matches your last name!), or FJ6 Sassy Grass/GreenGo!
Best ad spot ever. Here for the pups 👍🏻
I think anthracite would look just wonderful on that, especially with a deep gunmetal on the wheels and 'chrome' accents.. I like it
I generally don't watch advertising of any sort, but the puppy made me do it. Yes, any Mopar parts cost 3x what it would for a Chevy. I didn't know this going into my '71 Dart Swinger. Mopars engine bays are painted the body color. It never looks right painting it black 😎.
Grew up with my dads satellite, super excited this project is happening!
Your making a purist Mopar man happy by installing a cast iron all American big block V8 in your old Mopar. The advantages of the modern Hemi are worth it, but you don't get the feeling like a old V8.
How did I miss this video? Great project

Love the colour idea dark Gray/ coal with smokey chrome mint 👌
Awesome! And you can actually fit in it!!!
Black, white, and a shade of grey- something for everybody. I like it.
Sorry for eating all the Factor, I’m bulking up for football season!
Awesome car. Cant wait to watch this build. Maybe could have kept the Hemi for the donor car.
Yes Jared I like the black chrome look on the brightwork, not flat black, but the colour you suggested for the body is not in my brains colour chart! Nor can I pronounce it! I like this project. Cheers 🇨🇦
Best O'Reilly commercial to date!!
and there she is ! Happy to see this episode
I was born in '75. I turned 48, yesterday. You two are a couple young pups.
Black chrome would look amazing on that car
Best O'Reilly's commercial ever hands down!!!
You feel old being born in 1983. I graduated in 1983, was born in 1965. You two are kids. Great show.
Enjoyed the picture show.
glad you're yanking the italian engine out and going proper mopar.
my first car that i bought at 15 was a '68 road runner and i think they look the best. i do like the '71+ style too.

Red / White and Blue. Like the badge on the grill.
70 B bodies my favourite.
2 door Belvedere satellite roadrunner they are all nice.
Here in Australia mine costs me a fortune it's all good.
New Yorker Engine Swap! Yay 🔥
The puppies was very cute ✌️✌️
New a dude in high school that had one completely restored it was so nice.
My two dream vintage cars are the 1963-67 VW Bug and the 1972 Pontiac Le Mans. What I wouldn't give to have either
I think the color scheme you described would look awesome on the car. I say leave that 440 where it is and get another 440.
You’re both making me feel real old. I was born in 66. 😂
61 here, get off my lawn...
I was born in 1956. Stay young at heart.
63 here😊
Me, 67
Please please do a 70s theme paint job. They look so so good on road runners and satellite
You nailed it with the dog and O'Reilly's but you should really try finding a older Dodge powertrain out of the junkyard instead of taking the one out of the New Yorker you might even find older Dodge crate motor sitting on the shelf somewhere
I think it’d look great in that Black Forest green metallic. With or without a cream or white stripe.
Plum Crazy Purple would make this car perfect!
I like the White-Grey-Black concept.
Cool purchase !
As a colour blind person(Deuteranopia) I have to say I enjoy things being white, grey, or black. So really all the colour options work, I feel it would look nice to have basically all three on display from three different cars. tnx for the video
I would go to pearl white That would look beautiful
It's a Mopar, and the first color that comes to mind is Plum Crazy Purple! 👍
i like the white and gun metal colors it will look badass
hey jared maybe a (mat or glossy) metallic graphite would be a good looking colour for this car 🙂
Not to overshadow the great video but, BEST AD EVER
I'm loving the Mopar content!
Great video!
It’s wrench everyday time!!!❤❤
Damn IT!! I live in Macon and you are poaching all the good cars. There aught to be a law.
