@@TheRealMrBCG it's a very important game in terms of the history of gaming, but in today's age it is not as good as people make it out to be. The semi circle turning, the camera, Mario not being able to move backwards mid-air, Mario not having a "hover/double jump" move that can help mistakes to make up for the fact that he can't move backwards mid-air (the mid-air kick does exist but it isn't available if you're moving fast), the fact that every single slightly angled surface can be accidentally slid on after you make a tiny mistake, and how slippery Mario is when you're trying to move just a tiny bit to perform a jump are the issues I have with this game. The level design is decent in today's standards. The fact that you can use different moves to get the same stars in different ways is very good although finding secrets and exploring in both the levels and the hub are hindered by the awful camera. It's an important game, but playing the game myself after hearing about all the praise it's getting left me disappointed. Before I played the game, I expected a modern Mario title that was somehow made before the 2000's. After playing the game, I think the game is overrated. It sounds like I'm bashing an old game for being the first to try things and inevitably have some flaws, and I am doing exactly that. I had low expectations for Mario 64 since it was one of the first 3D games ever, but since people were praising it, My expectations became high. Mario 64 is important, but it's not that good in today's standards
