Been driving the patrol for 4 months now, city fuel consumption is at 3km/l and highway fuel consumption is at 7.5km/l on average. Ride is smooth, suspension is great, comfortable seats, quiet cabin, cold AC, quick for its size, huge but i did not have trouble going into tight spaces or doing u turns, or parking in malls. Interior design is to my liking as well. At first i was so conscious with the fuel consumption but given all the perks i got, i accepted it. Overall, i enjoy and love this vehicle.

Compare that to my earlier 7-seater Volvo XC90 V8 built in 2005, which consumed an average of 9.5 km/liter on Swiss roads (max. 80 km/h) and highways (max. 120 km/h), while getting an average of 8 km/ltr on German highways and no speed limit, and traveling at speeds of 160-180 km/h.
Going at max speed, around 210 km/h it only did 7 km/liter... not too bad for an old car ;-)
Btw, the engine was designed and built by Yamaha, and isn't Nissan also a Japanese brand? So what happened???

Buyers of this suv do not worry about fuel economy. It's not gonna be an issue for this segment.

A tried and true rugged platform, known for it's reliability and durability (especially loved in the Middle East), cheaper than the all new Land Cruiser and vastly cheaper than the Chevy Tahoe, seems like a great value in full size truck based SUV platform.

Bro that interior compared to the interior we get in Australia is so much better. Australia got shafted.

Probably due to the intended clientele of this Patrol here in the Philippines: this is intended for wealthy businesspersons and politicians.

@@kristoffermangila The interior of the patrol in Australia looks like it's from 1998. They are just now implementing apple car play/android auto into the 2024 versions. The dash still looks horrendous. I went to test drive one and really enjoyed it but the interior was a complete let down. No way am I paying 100k+ AUD for an interior that is extremely lacking. Even the base model Nissan Armada in the US has a better interior than the Ti-L (top model in Australia).

Y62's are the last of the V8's and of then non Turbo's. Everything is now put turbo on this to compensate. Wish this was on the Y61 body instead of the problematic ZD30 it had. Y61 is still the better looking. But Y62 aint that bad.

I will be sad when this generation goes. Nissan kept the Patrol and the GT-R going too long without a major update, but even over a decade later, both still feel great to drive. This SUV handles and goes better than you expect a big barge to, and the sound of that V8 is sublime.
Let's see how Nissan tops this.
