I’d take the Terra because it has the right amount of tech as compared to the Everest. More tech = more stuff to fail in the next few years of ownership.
Agreed. Way too many people nowadays get carried away with tech, yet so much of these are not even used after a year. Then to your point of more things to break. Just the right amount of tech, then reliability and general usability should trump any "tech grifting"
Ford's use of basically one big giant screen is a turn off for me, too. From a car design and ergonomics perspective, it's lazy and sloppy. Oh sure, it's impressive at the showroom, but once that display breaks or starts to degrade over time (*liquid* crystal display) as part of normal wear and tear, you've got one very expensive fix due. From the design, it seems critical car functions and the A/C controls rely on the display, so good luck once that needs fixing. Hopefully panel lang sya which isn't Ford proprietary 😅
@@prolificity again, going back to the "too much tech" that's been all the rage nowadays, sadly, common sense seems to go out the window in lieu of things like those.
MOST COMMON REASONS TO BUY A 4X4: (according to ‘’experts’’) 1. Better to have it when not needed than not have it when needed (For 4x4 pick-up trucks: But installs a topflip cover on its truck bed and complains why its leaking after a few months) 2. Better climbing performance on steep angles (especially on steel parking on a rainy day 🫥🫥🫥) 3. Better traction (kind of obvious) 4. More power 5. and believe it or not….to battle BAHA. (For our Ateneans and Lasallian bros and sis: Flood) As a man who grew-up in the province, where a 4x4 is perceived to be needed more, I will assure you, in my xx amount of driving experience, there was only a handful of times that I was in a situation where I considered the need for a 4x4. And I was driving an Isuzu Crosswind XTO on a muddy, literal off road, undeveloped area of an island in mindanao at that time. True, in that situation, a 4x4’s ground clearance and traction could heave easily battled it’s way through that dune (I drove a Pajero field master on my way back home through the same path..so I know). HOWEVER, After that, I have battled the occasional ‘’mild off road’’, steep climbs on a rainy day on a steel parking, went to office, struggled through the traffic of EDSA and all other parts of the metro, on a 4x2 platform and I can’t remember another occasion that I said to myself; ‘’A need a 4x4 to handle this muddy situation’’. Let’s be honest, 4x4 or AWD is a status symbol in the Philippines. If we have snow, it kind of makes sense to have it. And hey, I don’t mean to sh*t on you if you are an owner of a car in this platform (4x4), But I hope you UNDERSTAND the real purpose of your cars function. Honestly, with the exception of some, a little part of me dies whenever I hear some ‘’enthusiasts’’ talk about 4x4. I mean, the 5th reason? seriously? you need a 4x4?

Kung reliability lang din paguusapan, nagiging reliable na ang ford. 6 yrs na yung everest ko 2.2 6-speed, no major issues. Same with my relative's 2.0 biturbo ranger and everest, no issues, regular PMS lang. Siguro masyado lang tumatak yung "old" reputation ng ford regarding reliability. Terra spacious and smooth ride.
Everest small interior and bumpy dizziness causing ride.
mechanics here in Cagayan de Oro's top car repair shops all agree that the new Ford Rangers visit the shops more often for all sorts of issues especially transmissions...probably will affect Everest too
Why repair shops? Alam ko Ford have 3 to 5 years warranty. Maintenance is every 10k km or just inside once a year.
wouldn't it be stupid to go outside of casa for your car that has 5 yrs warranty? or your info is just plainly hearsay or just an assumption?
@@an2ny2100 I guess Ford users are that stupid.
Personally drove the two... The comfort on the terrra... Yes the everest is much faster sportier driving. But the relax.interrior on the terra is priceless specially on ling drives plus the features hindi tinipid. Either way both suvs are awesome 👌
Very good comparo @Autodeal.
For me personally, I'd go with Everest. Looks, Tech and Power you can never go wrong. It almost looks like a full size SUV. Hahaha
Can't wait to compare it with Fortuner and Monterosport. (Behind the Wheel) Make it happen please @Autodeal 🙏🏻
Now we have two choices! Though I really like the Everest more, inside and out. Thanks sir Caco!
2:13 BTW those Osim massage chairs look gorgeous, looking forward to purchasing 'em soon
Terra is the best in mid-size SUV. Everyone prefers riding in comfort compared to technology
I chose Nisan like its Pro-4X. Reliability and toughness. Its Nissan bro. If the maintenance is more better, it will go in more than 400k kilometers or 12 years.
sobrang sarap i drive ng ford everest. kotse ni GF, ako lagi driver. sarap idrive. variant ng sa amin is 4x4 titanium plus.
About Ford's issue on spare parts cost and availability. I have a Ford Ranger. Bought it brand new, been using it for more than 10 years and counting. I don't worry about those issues. Why? Because all I had to replace was tires, batteries, change oil, a camshaft sensor (PHP2,400) and transmission bearing worth PHP4,000. I just go to banawe for the parts, easy to find. No other issues at all.
I had 2019 Everest and sold to my brother...no issue to this day...now, I have Everest 2024...the performance became better...Everest all the way!
Nice comparo once again! I enjoy all of your reviews and the way you present it, always make for a great content! Thanks Sir Caco and Jack, and to the Autodeal team! God Bless always!!!
Should have included in your category the maintenance of these vehicles, availability of parts and thier reliability in the long run

Been seeing a lot of ford ranger, raptor and everest sa daan recently parang di n fortuner in demand ngayon dahil sa comfort issue and i guess nagiging reliable na din ang everest?
Actually reliable talaga sya. 6 yrs na yung sakin and no issues, regular PMS lang. Same with my relative's everest and ranger.
@@krast5839True. We have 2007 everest 4x2 still running❤❤❤
Very Happy with my Everest.....cant be compared with my previous vehicles (Montero and Fortunner) the best driving experience....
Bro is informative and can be a stand up comedian as well 😂 Great job!!
@@prolificity again, going back to the "too much tech" that's been all the rage nowadays, sadly, common sense seems to go out the window in lieu of things like those.
i just cant take Terra's 3rd row
@@prolificity Everest AC controls also have their own physical buttons.
Those techs are pain in the ass once they start failing.
The Everest looks way better. That elegance and looks pretty last a lifetime.
Everest owner here totally satisfied
Everest has one more point ahead since you counted 1point for Tera for the ride comfort but not a point for the Everest 's tech feature
No doubt when it comes to parts or maintenance, if get the Ford, you got to be, can afford.
I like the everest! Comfort, tech, safety and speed. I was saved by the emergency brake system of Ford
Everest!!! 💪👌
Still my best choice. ❤
Miss everest in india , because of no competition fortuner is selling in india at 63k Usd

MOST COMMON REASONS TO BUY A 4X4: (according to ‘’experts’’)
1. Better to have it when not needed than not have it when needed (For 4x4 pick-up trucks: But installs a topflip cover on its truck bed and complains why its leaking after a few months)
2. Better climbing performance on steep angles (especially on steel parking on a rainy day 🫥🫥🫥)
3. Better traction (kind of obvious)
4. More power
5. and believe it or not….to battle BAHA. (For our Ateneans and Lasallian bros and sis: Flood)
As a man who grew-up in the province, where a 4x4 is perceived to be needed more, I will assure you, in my xx amount of driving experience, there was only a handful of times that I was in a situation where I considered the need for a 4x4.
The line is long for the everest titanium, but i'm getting the 4x2 only. The third row of the terra is really the deal breaker for me.
Most people say that, when in reality they don't use the third row. But terra with the price, comfort, reliability, availability of spare parts, cheaper maintenance
@@lucky889s9"cheaper maintenance? I don't think so🤔
@@Matt-zp3 you own ford before?
Regarding 3rd row seat. Hindi nila yun Ina adjust sa 2nd row kaya masikip nung comparo. Naka rail po ung 2nd row seat ng terra. Terra 2023 owner po
@@lucky889s9 we are a big a family, and we used the third row often, in terms of spare parts and maintenance, i will figured it out pa, cause my everest is only 3 days old. thank you for the insight.
I'd say Terra provides a more driver and family-oriented comfort that the Ford still lacks a bit. Yes, Ford does provide more tech and new generational features, but I'm more inclined on having a comfy and chill (literally since it's a Nissan) drive on a family car.
Exact opposite the everest is far and way more comfy

Nafix na ba turbo hose issue ng everest? Dalawang ford na sa amin puro punit ung hose ng turbo. Isang everest at ranger. 3 yrs use punit agad ung hose. Ung montero mag300k mileage na la naman issue. Isang beses lng din napalitan ung belt ng montero.
hi sir, would like to know about the reliability of both vehicles. I've been hearing a lot of issues with Ford so I'd appreciate your input on this. thank you!
I wonder what about maintenance and availability of parts. Maybe you can do a video on this.
Its been 8 months and Im still on Everest 4x4 waiting list.
We have 2007 everest pwera buyag still running❤❤
Kung reliability lang din paguusapan, nagiging reliable na ang ford. 6 yrs na yung everest ko 2.2 6-speed, no major issues. Same with my relative's 2.0 biturbo ranger and everest, no issues, regular PMS lang. Siguro masyado lang tumatak yung "old" reputation ng ford regarding reliability. Madami ka din makikita sa daan na 2016 up na everest and ranger, 2.2, 3.2 o 2.0 biturbo (which is the same engine with the new gen everest/ranger)
i prefer how Terra's exterior looks. 🙂
Mukhang mabait na nissan patrol 👌. For me, both everest and terra look good though

how's the resale value? for the Everest Trend specifically.
Love this channel! Sub earned
Love the design of Nissan Terra...just my preference...
Could the Nissan Terra's second row seats be moved forward to give more space to the third row seats?
No
Yes
Yup. 2nd row can be moved forward
Yes, 2nd row is on rails, and it also tumbles as shown in the video. The third row backrest could be tilted around 20 degrees(very comfy if you do this) maybe more. The main issue of the third row is the seat very close to the ground. So you seat like squatting.
Yes it can be moved
You’re the Man Boss👍👍
If money isnt an issue (price, maintenance, parts, breakdowns because its a ford), everest is the choice.
I so love the reviews.
