Talking about strange alliances and endgame conflicts, I've thought for a long time that a part of the final battle will be a schism in the Navy, and a showdown of ideals between Akainu and Koby at the center of it. Akainu is such a crazy wildcard for the entire ending, because WHO FIGHTS HIM? Does it fall to Luffy to face the strongest member of the Navy? Does Sabo get the runback on Ace's behalf with the same DF power that couldn't overcome his magma two years ago? Does Koby face down Akainu with his idealism and vision for what the Navy should be, finally able to back up his words at the end of the war with actual power? Does Aokiji come back for round 2? Does Akainu get ganked by someone completely unrelated to any of the people on "our side", illustrating the folly of his ways and how the world has moved on past his vision of justice? Hell, does he buck the system after being dicked around by the government only to get diffed by the Elder Stars? Or does he even fight alongside us like Lucci does here? WHAT IS AKAINU'S ROLE IN THE CLIMAX OF THIS STORY???

Guys, just a rememberance Elbaf will be USOPPS arc. If you remember episode 17 you have a scene where usopps mother is in bed, she has the same race of the elbaf people we see in this episode. Meaning Usopps himself is 50% of elbaf herritage. Also in episode 53 with the cast off ceremony Usopp pledges to become a great warrior of the sea and in the one piece world the giants from elbaf are considered one of the greatest warriors on the sea. Usopp will play a major part coming Arc!
