I felt so connected to this video. I had goosebumps throughout the entire video because of how passionate, genuine, and heartbreaking it was. I have personally witnessed gun violence a few times and it truly changes you. Thank you for making this video. I hope it gets more attention and views so that some of these challenges can become easier.
This was so good, and living in Philly means that these stories touch me. I teach at Temple, public speaking (among other things), and I had a student do a series of speeches on gun policy. With each speech she named the number of people killed by gun violence in Philly. Watching that number climb with each speech, and when she gave that speech two days after a Temple student was gunned down made it especially poignant and tough. Hugs to you Nurse Sheena. You are wonderful.
Wow, this really gave me goosebumps. First, I took a speech class at Temple too so thank you for all you do. Secondly, it means so much to me when the intended message hits the intended audience and beyond and becomes its own human to human experience. We all have ways we can impact the community and we really appreciate your contribution!! :)
I will admit that I was shaking my head no when I first started this video. I am for gun control but I knew the past and the resistance to gun control. I was pleased to see a different approach to curbing the violence even if curbing guns didn’t happen. I have not personal been affected by gun violence. I do get extremely emotional when seeing the families and friends of the victim’s grieving. The loss is sudden and without reason. They are just gone.
This was a great video ❤, I’m sorry to anyone who’s experienced this. I think a lot more research should be done, and implementing green spaces, community spaces, all sound like great ideas and anything that can help is appreciated.

You told this story very well. I hope the policymakers & general voting public take note. We have tools that can be used!!
Thank you for doing this piece Sheena.
Thank you Jan’et for hearing me! ☺️

Thank you for telling your story.
This video is poignant and I wish I had more to say in this comment.
Always nice when you have a personal connection to the featured high-gun-violence city. 🤦♀️ But this is hopeful, thinking this way.
Thanks for being so vulnerable Sheena, especially at the end❤️🩹
Thank you 😊
