- AAAAAAAAAAAAAH... is something you'll hear my character say a lot in this video, because I set out to find out: can you beat Elden Ring by shouting? And by shouting, I of course mean roars only. Was it tough? Not really. Was it fun? Guess that's up to you to decide.

The bloodhound claws work so well with the Karen aesthetic. It's like she stopped at the salon to get her nails done halfway through the game.
Shame you didn’t pick up the highlander axe, it boosts roar ashes of war. Easy pick up in Stormveil castle, and using it with beast’s roar is actually pretty effective. The talisman for boosting roars also works with it.
The roar medallion also works on the roars that buff your dmg output like from the iron balls or club. would've been legal to use in this run and increased dmg.
@@knight_lautrec_of_carim nah. he would have to manually do an attack thats not a roar. if the roar did an attack after without additionnal input it would be okay.
@@mathieuxlaflamme2322 I'm pretty sure he meant using a warcry on an offhand weapon for the damage buff it gives you, not using the changed r2s the cry gives you.
@@mathieuxlaflamme2322 If you use the AoW, your character just screams and get the buff (which is affected by the talisman). No attack needed. One of those bumps up your AR by 15% or so
What he trully meant was that the highlander axe as a passive on it (not the AoW) that boost shout. So just having it equip boost the power of shout.
While I appreciate the shout only run, the musical numbers that accompanied it is why I'll be watching it again!

0:57 Most people don’t know this but howl of shabribri gives you a 22% damage buff to every type of attack
Which is only useful for 20 seconds if even, meaning you're gonna spend more time switching between 2 handing left and right to effectively use while waiting for the openings

@@thememelords9491 It was 20 seconds prior to 1.07 patch where it got buffed to 40 seconds. And damage buff is 25% btw. So you screwed up yourself lol.

I feel like you didn't know that the Highlander Axe in stormveil gives you the roar talisman effect as well for about 10% extra damage, that would have probably made it a little easier.
Makes it even more impressive of course so good on you mate.

@@bismarckimperia8781 Nope. The axe specifically doesn't stack with itself, unlike most other things in this game.
@@leifeinaramundison745 well, yes. Not with itself, so you can't use two at once but it does stack with the Talisman
@@GPismymom Yep! Pretty nice for a roaring barbarian, and frees your other hand for a useful offhand, and doesn't force you to dupe or go to NG+. All in all, a nice all-round package!

Wrong. None of the weapons with speical effects stack with themsevles. Only the passives boosts from staves and seals stack.

Yeah I discovered the Beats Roar's effectiveness by accident while trying out a dual whip build, because whips are so limited in their choice of Ashes of War I tried out a few and found it to be surprisingly good, even for PVP because it comes out so quick and travels surprisingly far that invaders never expect it, especially if they are casting of doing their own ahs of war with a long windup for a melee hit

Nice choice of music, Megaman 7 intro stage rocks. Chrono Trigger is also always a good choice, even got Godot's theme in there from Phoenix Wright. This was an interesting run.

I like to think the ashes of war you're using don't actually do any damage. The enemies just get so annoyed with listening to you that they decide death is a preferable alternative.

I like using Howl of Shabriri as a support incantation because it boosts all damage by 25% for 20 seconds but makes you take 30% more damage for 20 seconds
