Sure. But his attack was unsafe on the other guys screen he didn’t get to start that roll. So he punished it with a roll bs. Nothing crazy there. Just a slightly higher ping with an opponent. And a whiff running r1
Protip: don't walk forwards unlocked, roll forwards, or do any attack that locks you into a moving forwards animation animation (eg greatsword running attack is very dangerous if you don't hit your attack, or they toggle it) this opens up your back a lot.
Try to backpedal and do not attack uselessly also take in consideration of your opponent's armor poise because he can just tank your hit and go for a backstab if he has the poise for it
This game has really fun unique pvp when both players silently agree to the "I want to win but not be a backstab fishing passive poisepoker". I love when people actually play how it was intended
Not too long if you're in the right areas at the right levels, even a normal playthrough will probably see you get invaded a few times if you're human for most of it, maybe even a few gravelord signs, but it certainly isn't a big thriving community anymore either. Attempting to invade people is a similar deal, in the right areas at the right levels, it's reasonably quick to find someone. The main thing to keep in mind is that the smaller playerbase of this old game only really left the experienced player and the completely new player when it comes to pvp, you will rarely find a middle ground, take that however you wish.
@@AlessioPini-wb2my If you want to do meta duels, the meta level is 125, and go to oolacile township, but otherwise, just play the game normally and level as you normally would, and invade in the area you're currently at, you'll usually find someone quite quickly

Depends. You can actually do this combo against high poise players with the murakumo. Parry r1 riposte. That does more damage than two handing. But for his setup it’s probably about the same. Prolly not gaining much besides it feels good to do and looks cool
i've seen someone do parry, x2 bandits knife r1s, then riposte with hornets, which does 99 bleed damage for the riposte, (as hornets bandits knife hits 3 times on riposte) and 66 for r1s. Hits for like 155-160 bleed damage because there's a slight delay between hits which lets the bleed bar go down slightly.
