For those don’t have a MB and are using arns anguish give this a go: -Rottgut Flask -Bottled Faith Flask -Atziri’s Promise Flask -get a decent Watcher’s eye with the gain a flask charge every time you crit while affected by Precision. Super fun perma uptime on flasks and hefty damage increase :)
This was really nicely explained, thanks. I'm not even playing Slayer (playing the Deadeye version of LS) but your explanations of the various items, interactions between them and why you choose each key skill/passive item was really helpful for a new PoE player.
Okay, okay. I was not going to try this build since everybody else is already doing it, but now since you're highlighting it and I love the stuff you're doing, I'm starting it up now. Thank you for the great content.
This build is absolutely crazy. Started as lacerate bleed, invested quite a bit, it way okay at bosses, but mapping didn't feel good. Saved up 20 divines and swapped, then was comfortable enough to sell my bleed gear to fully invest in the swap. Bought a HH for mapping fun, and threw out the stormshroud since shock immunity from tempest shield is enough for me, bought some other jewels including a 3x 5% double damage lethal pride for only 8 divine, and I'm now at 27 mil Full DPS with 493k EHP. At level 100, I'll crack 30 mil with no upgrades needed. This is the first league I've owned one of the big two belts or killed any Ubers. Loving it!
For lacerate bleed mapping you want leap slam of groundbreaking in a 4 link, it wipes thru 99% of the map with ease and makes clearing super comfortable with bleed pops
Been using this build for the necro settler event and I've never had a been this efficient before. In 5.5k hours+ I've never reached level 100, but with this build that is more than doable, especially in this event
Really helpful overview for me as a new player. So much information that's hard to find from other sources. Finding it useful to clarify totally different classes and builds. Very helpful, thank you.
I just switched to this build and so far It's amazing. I used Lokati guide for leveling slayer, but used Rog to craft all my stuff, so leveling option proposed by Llarold’s can be better for people who didn't run expedition on first character(I can give away this items if anyone is intresting). So Far I spent 58 div, I aimed for perfect rolls, so as example Svalinn costed me 5.5div with 15% Chance to Block Spell Damage instead of 1.5div with 14% Chance to Block Spell Damage. I am missing tincture and jewels Interrogation, Large Cluster Jewel, Prismatic Jewel, Viridian Jewel - this set alone can cost around 25 div. So total cost is around 85 div(at this moment). I thought I will need to spend more but I believe I was lucky, got claw that have a little bit better stats(and all white sockets) than Llarold’s claws for 15 div. And I am lvl 76, missing good helmet and armour + Awakened Elemental Damage, also 50% of the gems in this build I just started using so missing a lot of stats here, I also run only 2 labs, so I don't have 4 ascendancy points, but, I hit red map, 5 lvl above my character and I cleared map without any issue. Mistake I made(someone can find this helpful), Timeless Jewel will give you a lot of strength stats, so you maybe don't need strentgth on the items, I bought armour with strength attributes and it's useless now(yes I know you can use tatoo). It looks I will be able to buy mageblood after I sell simplex + I have 70mln crops but only 11 mln dust(it's so slow, items giving you 30k dust max) so it looks like it will be fun ;) I will update post after I hit 95lvl+ and starting doing T17 and ubers(I am not able to do it on my first, RF character.) Edit, the build is great, I am doing T17 maps without issue, I sometimes dying to bosses butit's mostly skill issue as I don't know what to expect and dying one shot.
I just wanted to say thank you for this build. I swapped to this build from a flickerstrike build and have to say it was a blast. For the first time I was able to basically anything in the game I wanted and finish the season challenge. Thank you!
You crafting that claw, has taught me more about crafting in this league then any league before. Im doing Ive Nova Hierophant. Farming t16s essence. Now i feel comfortable crafting a new chest piece/profane wands. Cheers bro
you can sneak in 1% attack block by using a tatoo on your one +10 strength node. Your Svalinn is also missing a 1% of block for Spell Block. This can get you to 87/87 block.
Hi there. Thank you sooooo much. Your Stacked Deck Farming enabled me to farm up some currency and made so much fun. And this build was recommended to me on reddit and i must be honest i first thougt that this is again one of those builds where you need insane amounts of currency. But i now spent about 20ish Divs and damn this build is disgusting but in a positiv way. Just cleared Wave 15 Sim with only one death. I face tanked Omni and Kosis at the same time without any issue. Thanks. Pls keep up the great work. Just wanted to say this. Peace Exile
I am so sad I didnt find you sooner, league started lacerate glad and find the playstyle very underwhelming, definitely going to immediately lvl up a slayer to make this build. Amazing video!
@@darkflower1729 I started lacerate glad and swapped to LS Slayer when I just had res-life gear and it even felt good then. If it takes you a while to level it would be worth to just swap on the tree and get a claw.
@Natome99 awesome I'm hyped 😎left off on act 8 last night with a hollow palm smite leveling build, once my gf goes to work it's time to finish up the campaign and start blasting maps😍
Duude, that’s insane! I ran similar build, droped mageb from blue mob in t10 map, and you just open my eyes how I can improve it slightly higher. With those poison and ring quality. Thanks a lot for your work. Appreciate it!🤝
Love the guide, when offering alternative routes to make the build work with a different belt other than mageblood, as a newer Poe player I would appreciate the “take this instead of this” for those moments. Saying take these nodes to gain endurance charges and more damage will leave it up to my judgement on what I should swap point wise to pick it up, and for seasoned players it may be obvious but I’m working on line 300 hours played so far mostly this league on a league starter build I looked up.
thank u very much. There was no slayer guide by my language but this video is very easy to understand even i dont know english, so helpful to me. Especially using arns belt is too helpful, because i cant buy magiction blood or head hunter but all Ninja build using these
not true, you can filter builds in ninja by unique items and there are 1254 lightning slayer that using mageblood and 1146 lightning slayers that using anguish.
Thanks, we're glad you like it. The tankiness is a real advantage over the 2h setup. Sure, 2h will deal more damage, but when you're killing t17 bosses in
This was my first league where I beat the campaign, I ran a splitting steel champ leaguestarter build guide that I modified till I could kill all the non uber pinnacle bosses (plus a couple of the easier Ubers). I was looking for more survivability and really wanted to try the famed svalinn so I saved up 40D to make the swap for this build. The damage and survivability buff is actually insane, excited to kill the rest of the Ubers!
Thanks for the suggestion. We'll think about it if we revisit this build later in the league. Not much should change, tbh, mostly just a shift toward either Ancestral Vision for ailment immunity or just doing Brine King/Aberrath.
@@cawfee254 about your chest...you can craft 25% Chance and Go for 110% spell suppress Chance and ancestral Vision + Life wheel with +20 ailment immunity 😋
WOW, this build is 10/10, i wish i started with this one, sooo nice to play, feels so good to not be afraid when i jump in a room with crazy amount of mobs
for those without a magebloood who are feeling very slow unique flask rotgut is a really good option, it acts as a quicksilver and silver flask at the same time giving you tons of movement speed and attack speed as long it can consume frenzy charges which you get naturally killing mobs with blood rage, not as effective against a boss though
Got a lucky Valdo's so I'll be respeccing my Ziz bleedglad to this once I buy all the stuff. It'll be my first ever mageblood so I wanted a PREMIUM build. Looking forward to blasting, thanks for the guide.
What an insane build, I just got my guy to 84, finished the campaign last night and now just finished my labs. Doing 8 mod t16s.. I do got the boots, rings shield and amulet but the rest is the gear I had on my FB Warden which is not optimized for the Slayer.. One weird thing, I was doing a ele reflect map, I do run tempest shield + stormshroud and still get frozen somehow..
Tempest shield does not interact with the stormshroud jewel. In the pob, the % chance to avoid shock is achieved through flask + effect and mageblood. If you are without one, you need to get this % chance to avoid shock somewhre else like abyss jewels
So even if we use claw we get these dagger nodes (dagger damage and movement speed) in tree just because sweet elusive buff and also the %40 crit multiplier while elusive which is huge; correct? because you dont have dagger alternative item in your POB.
This is the best damn guide, man. 10/10 The only question left to ask... how are you spending your atlas points and what content makes the most sense for this build progressing through maps? Might be a great follow up video? Would love your thoughts here! Thanks!
Thank you! There's really no atlas strategy that this build can't handle! The world is your oyster! Strongbox farming or Corrupted 8-mod map farming are two very popular strategies, so you can't go wrong either way.
had a flicker strike slayer i switched over to this build with - and gotta say it's pretty great. It can't run no leech or ele reflect as far as i'm aware, but other than those two it's been really sturdy, with great damage. I decided to take the projectiles pierce +3 tree since it was super close and clearing now feels even better
Hi! Looking through the PoB and I can't work out how you're reaching the 100% Shock avoidance for Stormshroud (I can see the 44% on quicksilver flask)? Would love to know what to allocate to grab the 100%, as I hate getting chilled/frozen. Cheers!
Since the POB is using Mageblood, he has a Flask with alot of increased effect that is permanently up. If you dont have a MB then another good way to get that stat is using Jewels with Shock avoidance. Those can roll 50% and above, so 2 with that Stat can be enough
@@PathofEvening Thanks for the reply, just dropped a Mageblood from the Maven Synth invite so will be adjusting flasks to look a bit more like yours. Cheers!
Loving the build so far. I'm level 96 with MB and almost got my Nimis, hopefully by this weekend. Great guide, thanks as always. Ralakesh confused me at first. The charges from Ralekesh don't show up as a buff as it reads 'Count AS IF you had full charges' so you just get the benefit. The confusing part is if you get charges naturally (eg: power charge from assassin's mark) they still pop on and off your buff bar but I guess they don't do anything since you are already at full charges in the background.
New to the game (albeit I’ve put probably 300+ hours in since I started this league), currently running this with a lvl 97 character and have 3 voidstones so far. I’ve found deaths usually come whenever I’m not leeching, is that to be expected? Is leech the major role in what makes the build tanky? What do you do in scenarios where you can’t leech? (Like immune boss phases) Love the build though, appreciate the vid!
Same, it especially hurt durning boss fights that have phases where they are immune, but you get hit by something and you cannot leach. Llarold’s using mageblood and regenerage 3% life affix, so I thing it's a key item him for this build against bosses. it can be also skill issue and I should avoid boss attacks.
@@PathofEvening @PathofEvening for single target, sure, but for crowd control, would it not be a greater force multiplier? If I'm not mistaken, that'd be the point with nimis anyways since your projectiles get scattered too much vs single target. I'm still learning this stuff, so I'm trying to work out the numbers, but it's hard when pob only ceres about single target.
If anyone is wondering when to swap to this in terms of budget - I got the build online for probably around 5 divs(that's including Interrogation and the large cluster jewel), could jump straight into maps and do 3 monster levels over my level, after maybe 2 hrs of leveling I'm in T9s. Super smooth transition and easy to get this build online as long as your leech is sufficient, I think the priciest item I bought was the tincture
I have a non svalinn version, but before I change over: I'm still a little confused on how you're gaining endurance charges (as seen in the intro) with no endurance charge mastery or endurance charge gain on body implicit, as you mentioned. I thought maybe it's masterful form matching your frenzy charge to your endurance charges + ralalesh setting at max charges + popping blood rage or something but i tried this and... Nothing showed up on my buffs list at the top to indicate I had endurance charges active. Killed a bunch of mobs to check if it appears on kill. Nothing. I must be missing something but can't quite get it?
Deflection in the passive tree gives a 25% chance to generate an Endurance Charge on Block. Totally worthless, Ralakesh is already giving effect of full Endurance Charges, but that is where they're coming from.
@@PathofEvening Thanks so much about that clarification. I see it now. I was scratching my head because the PoB calcs wasn't showing where the charges were being gained from (or at least I can't see where it shows that) from except from ralakesh. Much appreciated.
@PathofEvening this still confuses me. The boots, which I have with Arn's belt just give the effect but without actually gaining them in order to consume/convert them. Until I took that passive I never gained a single brutal charge. Also for frenzy charges I never gain any unless I use blood rage...I tweaked the build and automated blood rage for QoL
First of all I love the build, this is the first build I try that made me able to finish t17 map without dying, and I didn't have the cluster yet. Do you mind adding the t16 and t17 maps regex, to know what to avoid?
Greetings, great video as always, and fantastic build guide. What is the minimal budget to enjoy the build? I am thinking of swapping from Ret Gladiatior to this, but I will have around 20d if I sell my items/gear. Or should force myself to play more to generate more money and then swap?
Thank you very much for this video. I am playing ny first proper league and have been using the Ziz Hierophant build. Its getting dicey at times in 16s. I'm still not comfortable enough to buy a decent Claw and craft it to try this out!
Depends on the Valdo's map! Being suppression capped feels like a must-have, getting poison immunity and a lot more CR seems good, as well. Beyond that, a better weapon with triple t1 rolls and harvest/veiled suffixes could add another +25% damage, Nimis would add ~61% more proj damage AND the ability to use Inspiration Support for an extra 28% damage, which more than compensates for the loss of one The Taming ring. Also, there's Awakened Multistrike for another 10-15% more damage. Those damage increases would REALLY help with absolutely vaporizing everything, and monsters being dead instantly tends to cut through a lot of the danger in higher-end content like Valdo's maps.
Hey, I really liked the vid, I have a perhaps dumb question tho Is there any reason why you went for a triumphant lamellar chest piece? Why not just go full evasion, because that armor doesnt feel like it's doing much alone, no? Or, if armor+evasion is the way, why not go for the conquest lamellar to get up to like 3k of each for a reasonable price?
@@PathofEvening thanks! I got lucky and snatched a +22% chance to suppress chest piece for really cheap, meaning that if you can get it, you can drop the 'chance to suppress is lucky' instead and go for the +3% damage prevented. Otherwise, this build feels REALLY smooth and enjoyable, it's a real nice breath of fresh air from what I used to play the past leagues (necro all the way) I got just 2 more curiosities: 1. what content do you enjoy running the most with this? 2. will you update this pob in the future if you make changes to it? Thanks!
Thanks for the very in-depth while still concise guide! You mentioned no regen is not a concern for this build. Because of all the leech? But still I should be careful not to run OOM mid map right? And what am I looking for in the Lethal Pride?
did you try it also with forbidden flesh/flame and "more than skill". Gives you also lucky block chance and that way you could use a better shield with flat ele, atk speed etc.. Or is the flame wall dmg increase that high that it's not really an improvement? Really a good guide you set up here. Appreciate the effort!
@@PathofEvening yeah I just tryed it. You can switch your shield to "recover 5% healt/block" which is an insane boost imo. Also increased "mana efficiency for socket gems". So I can facetank most uberbosses with a quick and dirty gear already.
@@PathofEvening I may post my pob for some help I've sunk maybe 100 div and well my ehp is high my DPS is less then a Millie and it's really frustrating
Amazing build. I know you posted it long ago but today I decided to try it. I clear T17 with ease even with all increased map modifiers on atlas tree. Could you give any tips how to increase damage and maybe some other future upgrades? I am a bit new and not sure what to invest in next. At the moment I have your setup with mageblood ( finally I could afford it :))
Pretty casual player here with not much time to play this week especially, but I managed to get most of the key uniques needed for this last night. Just need to get some decent rare armour/evasion based chest etc & a whole bunch of regret orbs to respec out of my Ground Slam Slayer and say goodbye to warcries.
@@PathofEveningJust respecced last night, the attributes are a bit of a pain (having to respec 2 passive points whenever I change my int gloves/str chest, cmon poe2 hurry up!). Otherwise it's feeling okay, just rewatching and taking notes to fix some tankiness/damage issues as I did a fairly basic Alva/blight/expedition atlas t16 and was randomly getting one shot and finding runic monsters a pain. That said it's pretty fun, will make some adjustments (assuming I can buy them still 😅) after rewatching and ask if I still have some issues.
Hey man, I absolutely love this build. thank you so much. I want to use this character for sanctum. So I'll lower the def a bit and increase dmg. Do you have any suggestions to improve it's dmg? Points or items wise.? Thanks
For Sanctum you probably don't need full ailment immunity, so you can just run Brine King and Aberrath and invest that stat budget you would have spent elsewhere into more flat damage from eye jewels or crit multi from regular jewels.
Been using this build and it feels so good to use. Thanks for showing it to us. I do have a question though as a new player. Why are we using stormshroud? Cause I can't see anywhere that we are being able to avoid being shocked? Maybe I am just blind and missing something though.
Hi mate, excellent build guide right here. Much appreciated the effort put in! Quick question, in this build you are using tri ele dmg claw without hit can't be evade. May I know how do you make sure to cap hit chance here?
I know I should not reroll but I think I’m done with lacerate. It’s going to cost a lot of five to really push that more and I get random 1 shot sometimes
I’m following Fubgun’s version of this build. One way to deal with accuracy is having “Hits can’t be evaded” crafted on the weapon. Lets you have mote suffixes for res or frees up precision aura slot
@@PathofEvening It really doesn't cost that much damage and we run HH, Nimis, rare shield, lot of abyss jewels with ele, etc. I do kinda want to try this version as well just specifically for bossing but that's about it.
for the watcher's eye, do it need determination or just crit on anger? because I see that we are not using the determination and it increases the price by a lot
You can, but it's not as good in most cases. The damage numbers for LS of Arcing are lower, so your ST will suffer. The clear is great, so if you want to just use it for clearing, then it's solid, just be sure to drop all the sources of pierce from the build since they will be wasted stat budget.
Thank you for posting this! Last league I maxed and enjoyed heiro ice nova. It was a great all-arounder! At a similar level of investment (say moderate 100-200 div in the end state for me) how would you compare these two great builds??
This one is going to provide a lot of unique QoL, such as 20% cull, impale immunity, and overleech. It doesn't have quite the same kind of clear, but it's still a very quick, responsive build that deals a ton of damage, has a ton of defensie layers, and handles itself really well in all content.
pob says taking the first two tinkture damage increase nodes give higher dps than taking the top +1 frenzy charge node. is that right, or does pob not calculate everyhting right because of the boots?
The Tincture stuff is a bit misleading because it only applies while Tinctures are active, which is not all of the time. You probably don't want to give up the consistent damage & defensiveness of extra Frenzy & Endurance charges for ~1% more burst damage.
@@PathofEvening I am using Ralakesh, but I will extremely rarely see any frenzy charges, most maps I'll stick with a couple power charges and a few endurance, no frenzy.
@@n1nj44F7W Ralakesh gives them to you all the time. The buff won't show up top, but you have them. Look at your charges tooltip you'll see you're sitting at max charges all the time
Great guide you got me to roll into this as my second character! For the lethal pride jewel is it important to have the same number 13947 or is it just the names (Akoya and Karui) that is important?
I really like this build concept. Though I should point out that skitterbots doesn't work with Yoke. At least that's what everything I read said, check out the wiki.
That's true, but it doesn't really do anything great, just damage. We don't actually want ele damage, since reflect could kill us, we just want synergies like Flame Wall.
I demoted my earthshatter jugg to just a carefree gold farmer, I couldn't get over the hump. Following this now and the smite build was the fastest leveling so far. At 71 I made the switch from hollow to LS. I'm not sure what's wrong, I'm on act 10, I'm doing no damage against big rares and I tried kitva and based on how much damage I was doing it would take half an hour lol. I have the full 6 gem LS going, and most of the others all set, what could I be missing? I am definitely tanky however..
It's gotten much better now...I was struggling with the switch over to LS as soon as I got to the end of the campaign. I realized after a bit...I needed to get my gems leveled and I also switched too arms and ralakesh too soon. Definitely playing MUCH better now.
I might try this version out. I was trying to run fubguns build and I can't stay alive for sh!t. I am in white maps at level 81 and still working on my equipment but I'm trying to save and farm chaos orbs.
I started out as this build then switched over to 2h slayer ls when I crafted a perfect sword for it, now kinda regretting the swap as I was alot more comfy with the shield build xD
Hey Llarod! Loving all the builds you make, played the cyclone hiero last league and it smacked t17s. Wanted to do a flicker slayer and chanced upon your build so I am gonna play this now! However, I can't open your POB in the app, there's an error. Is there an update or something?
out of curiosity, if I have MB and ailment immunity and have a solid build going like you have here (not perfect, but good), is there any map mods to stay away from, or can I actually do them all? This is assuming t16 level maps for now, when I start t17s I guess that question I would ask again :)
Reduced Extra Damage From Crits is annoying, Monsters Cannot Be Leeched is annoying, and then pretty much just the usual mods that make monsters more dangerous. Technically, you can do any mod, but some are more dangerous than others.
One last question, sorry... In your POB the jewel secret of suffering does not allow ignite, shock or chill and instead provides scorch, brittle and sap; however, in the POB shock, chill are clicked "on" with values. Is this accurate?
Can I swap to Svallin at Level 93? Can't seem to get past 93 unless I force myself to run something really safe for however many hours it'll take at this point. Not sure what passive points I can leave off for now.
I haven't seen the whole video yet so forgive my insolence, but I'm planning on making a MB with banishing sword ignores ele res on crits, I'll be using watchers eye that's brilliant for vitality and when using purity of elements gives me +49 chaos res, any other recommendations for me?
Hi, loving the build so far. I have 3k hp, 76 res, 86% block, 83% spell block, 100% spell suppress, but sometimes I just go from 100 to 0. Is that due to the lack of chaos res (i have about 8%)? I don't know how to fix this problem. I do run blue altars and you mention that some of them will kill this build. Which modifiers do that? Should I just run red altars instead?
hollow palm pob in description is great but i complete campain coulple hrs faster with fissure of snaking walk and click everything dies. but that gem can be pricy.
Hey buddy, great video. Just wanted to ask when I did the exact same build, and used similar claws followed exactly what you said, my POB damage is not close to yours. What am I missing? I have 10 frenzy charges atm and ralakesh but its not reflecting that damage on my POB. I'm also using mageblood. Did I screw up something or what am I missing exactly? Would really appreciate it if you can point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.
Lots of stuff in the config to set up. Make sure your enemy is counted as blinded, bleeding, poisoned, sapped, scorched, and brittle. Make sure Skitterbots are turned on, and be sure you have a blind tattoo and a poison tattoo.
Hey man how are ya? I just wanted to ask since my LS has been all over the place, i just farmed a nimis and a MB with my main build (icenova hiro) and want to try LS before poe 2…i dont really have anything else other than a svallin (the main reason i wanted to try LS XD) and a unique one handed sword…the main takeaway from this is there ant recommend passive skill tree i can go for using my stuff there? And any gems as well cuz dear lawd its just a cluster fuck for me… ty for your awesome vids it really helped out a lot
Just the setup in the pob. Be warned that you can't use Nightblade Support with a sword, so you'll want to transition to a rare claw as soon as are able.
For those don’t have a MB and are using arns anguish give this a go:
-Rottgut Flask
-Bottled Faith Flask
-Atziri’s Promise Flask
-get a decent Watcher’s eye with the gain a flask charge every time you crit while affected by Precision.
Super fun perma uptime on flasks and hefty damage increase :)
Also roll all flasks with used when charges reach full
interesting
Can you link your pobb?
would you recommend this over HH?
pob please
This was really nicely explained, thanks. I'm not even playing Slayer (playing the Deadeye version of LS) but your explanations of the various items, interactions between them and why you choose each key skill/passive item was really helpful for a new PoE player.
Glad to help!
Okay, okay. I was not going to try this build since everybody else is already doing it, but now since you're highlighting it and I love the stuff you're doing, I'm starting it up now. Thank you for the great content.
Good luck, have fun!
Loving it!
Excellent!
how did you achieve 27mil? that's with a tincture on?
Do you mind posting your username so I can check out your build?
would you mind sharing your version of the build please ?
For lacerate bleed mapping you want leap slam of groundbreaking in a 4 link, it wipes thru 99% of the map with ease and makes clearing super comfortable with bleed pops
Listening this like a podcast, currently working right now, ill change from lacerate to this when i get home, thanks bro
Thanks for watching our channel
Been using this build for the necro settler event and I've never had a been this efficient before. In 5.5k hours+ I've never reached level 100, but with this build that is more than doable, especially in this event

Really helpful overview for me as a new player. So much information that's hard to find from other sources. Finding it useful to clarify totally different classes and builds. Very helpful, thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
And I am lvl 76, missing good helmet and armour + Awakened Elemental Damage, also 50% of the gems in this build I just started using so missing a lot of stats here, I also run only 2 labs, so I don't have 4 ascendancy points,
but, I hit red map, 5 lvl above my character and I cleared map without any issue.
Mistake I made(someone can find this helpful), Timeless Jewel will give you a lot of strength stats, so you maybe don't need strentgth on the items, I bought armour with strength attributes and it's useless now(yes I know you can use tatoo).
It looks I will be able to buy mageblood after I sell simplex + I have 70mln crops but only 11 mln dust(it's so slow, items giving you 30k dust max) so it looks like it will be fun ;)
I will update post after I hit 95lvl+ and starting doing T17 and ubers(I am not able to do it on my first, RF character.)
Edit, the build is great, I am doing T17 maps without issue, I sometimes dying to bosses butit's mostly skill issue as I don't know what to expect and dying one shot.
Sounds excellent
I just wanted to say thank you for this build. I swapped to this build from a flickerstrike build and have to say it was a blast. For the first time I was able to basically anything in the game I wanted and finish the season challenge. Thank you!

So glad to see this channel doing well. Much deserved!
Thank you so much. We have a WoW launch coming for our other channel this week, but this channel is catching up!
You crafting that claw, has taught me more about crafting in this league then any league before. Im doing Ive Nova Hierophant. Farming t16s essence. Now i feel comfortable crafting a new chest piece/profane wands. Cheers bro
yeah crafting a non mirror tier best in slot profane wand costed me about 200 divines, so good luck.
Glad to help. Gl with your crafts!
you can sneak in 1% attack block by using a tatoo on your one +10 strength node. Your Svalinn is also missing a 1% of block for Spell Block. This can get you to 87/87 block.
good call!
Yup, good shout!
Respec'd into this from lacerate and I'm pleased with the results. Thanks for making this video!
Excellent, glad to help!
Peace Exile
Thank you for the kind words! We truly appreciate them!

You're welcome

I am so sad I didnt find you sooner, league started lacerate glad and find the playstyle very underwhelming, definitely going to immediately lvl up a slayer to make this build. Amazing video!
@@darkflower1729 I started lacerate glad and swapped to LS Slayer when I just had res-life gear and it even felt good then. If it takes you a while to level it would be worth to just swap on the tree and get a claw.

Duude, that’s insane! I ran similar build, droped mageb from blue mob in t10 map, and you just open my eyes how I can improve it slightly higher. With those poison and ring quality. Thanks a lot for your work. Appreciate it!🤝
No problem, we're glad you liked the video.
Thank you for all you do

Love the guide, when offering alternative routes to make the build work with a different belt other than mageblood, as a newer Poe player I would appreciate the “take this instead of this” for those moments. Saying take these nodes to gain endurance charges and more damage will leave it up to my judgement on what I should swap point wise to pick it up, and for seasoned players it may be obvious but I’m working on line 300 hours played so far mostly this league on a league starter build I looked up.
Appreciate the suggestion.
thank u very much.
We're glad it helped
Thanks for the build. Tried the two hander at first, but just not tanky enough for me. This version is way more comfortable.
Thanks, we're glad you like it. The tankiness is a real advantage over the 2h setup. Sure, 2h will deal more damage, but when you're killing t17 bosses in
I had a bleed glad already so i respeced into this with about 4d of pretty unoptimal gear and its quite op. Thanks for the build
Glad to help!
Excellent! Good luck!
You guys saved my league! Was about to quit... Thank you
Glad to help!
Could you release a POB with the changes you would make, if you were to use Headhunter instead of Mageblood? :3 Great vid!
Thanks for the suggestion. We'll think about it if we revisit this build later in the league. Not much should change, tbh, mostly just a shift toward either Ancestral Vision for ailment immunity or just doing Brine King/Aberrath.
How would you recommend getting the remaining 50% ailment avoid if you're still gonna rock ralakesh boots?

WOW, this build is 10/10, i wish i started with this one, sooo nice to play, feels so good to not be afraid when i jump in a room with crazy amount of mobs
Excellent! Svalinn is such a cheat code for tankiness.
for those without a magebloood who are feeling very slow unique flask rotgut is a really good option, it acts as a quicksilver and silver flask at the same time giving you tons of movement speed and attack speed as long it can consume frenzy charges which you get naturally killing mobs with blood rage, not as effective against a boss though
Yeah, that can work!
blind is a debuff, not an ailment
You right.
You are amazing, not gonna play the build but i enjoyed every second of the video! Great Job!! // Cheers from Sweden!

What did you change? I'm in the same boat right now I'm not sure what i'm doing wrong on this build I keep dying all the time.
@@caseybittle5565 svalinn shield with sigil of power and molten shell. try to get as much block and spell block
This is correct.
Yooo great build man
Thanks!
Well it's not really "face tank" like the thumbnail suggests if you're dodging all the boss attacks
womp womp
So even if we use claw we get these dagger nodes (dagger damage and movement speed) in tree just because sweet elusive buff and also the %40 crit multiplier while elusive which is huge; correct? because you dont have dagger alternative item in your POB.
That's correct.
Hey bro, without a mageblood and HH, how would your skill tree looks like? Thanks
Not very different, just drop the dagger nodes for the Endurance Charge nodes in the bottom of the tree.
@@PathofEvening you mean the claw nodes ?
@@vitalybrateev5548 i think dagger under leeching
I almost cried when I saw the nightfall cosmetic here. These are serious cosmetics.
This is the best damn guide, man. 10/10
The only question left to ask... how are you spending your atlas points and what content makes the most sense for this build progressing through maps?
Yeah, that's a good option.
You can run no leech with life and mana on hit, and ele reflect with awakened ele damage with attacks
Where have you been all my life? Top tier video.
Strongly considering swapping to LS from frost blades of kielbasa after watching the entire video.
First, thank you for watching the entire video. Second, happy to convert you.
Hi! Looking through the PoB and I can't work out how you're reaching the 100% Shock avoidance for Stormshroud (I can see the 44% on quicksilver flask)? Would love to know what to allocate to grab the 100%, as I hate getting chilled/frozen. Cheers!
There's 20% from the Thick Skin wheel.
Welcome! The wording is confusing.
getting 1-2 rage on hit with the lethal pride comes in handy when tanking wave 15 simulacrums.
That's true!
@@PathofEvening i just got a 2 rage lethal pride for 1 divine . inb4 the prices go thru the roof lol
(Like immune boss phases)
Love the build though, appreciate the vid!
Probably a little of column A and column B, but yes, needing something to leech from has always been one of the biggest struggles for Slayer builds.
27:17 Can I ask why Inspiration support and not something like GMP/AGMP?
GMP/AGMP are a ST damage loss, and they only apply to projectiles instead of both the melee hit and projectiles.
Good advice!
Can you level as LS at lvl12? I hate playing other skills to level. Always prefer to play the build asap.
You definitely can.
Also for frenzy charges I never gain any unless I use blood rage...I tweaked the build and automated blood rage for QoL
you can get poison immune on cloth and chain mastery if you're using hybrid helmet
Yeah, that can work.
First of all I love the build, this is the first build I try that made me able to finish t17 map without dying, and I didn't have the cluster yet.
Do you mind adding the t16 and t17 maps regex, to know what to avoid?
Id like to know that aswell, need regex for t17 especially, thank you!
Glad you enjoyed the guide! Cannot Leech, reduced block chance, and monsters avoid ele ailments are the main problematic affixes.
@@PathofEvening thank you
Hi, How much investment is needed, is 200div enough? without MB of course.
Can't answer that. Prices always change.
Greetings, great video as always, and fantastic build guide.
What is the minimal budget to enjoy the build? I am thinking of swapping from Ret Gladiatior to this, but I will have around 20d if I sell my items/gear. Or should force myself to play more to generate more money and then swap?
Thank you. It's league startable, playable in SSF. As for your budget, you'll have to figure that out.
Thank you very much for this video. I am playing ny first proper league and have been using the Ziz Hierophant build. Its getting dicey at times in 16s. I'm still not comfortable enough to buy a decent Claw and craft it to try this out!
Thanks for watching, welcome to PoE!
Can’t we use infernal legion on skitter bots so they can burn also thus giving us 46 % more damage ?
In theory we have flame wall on block so it burn if i am correct
Doesn't work.
what would you change in this for doing Valdos maps? im afraid of dots/degens
Hey, I really liked the vid, I have a perhaps dumb question tho
Is there any reason why you went for a triumphant lamellar chest piece? Why not just go full evasion, because that armor doesnt feel like it's doing much alone, no? Or, if armor+evasion is the way, why not go for the conquest lamellar to get up to like 3k of each for a reasonable price?
It's just what was available for cheap. Pure evasion is better, but more expensive.
@@PathofEvening thanks! I got lucky and snatched a +22% chance to suppress chest piece for really cheap, meaning that if you can get it, you can drop the 'chance to suppress is lucky' instead and go for the +3% damage prevented. Otherwise, this build feels REALLY smooth and enjoyable, it's a real nice breath of fresh air from what I used to play the past leagues (necro all the way)
I got just 2 more curiosities: 1. what content do you enjoy running the most with this? 2. will you update this pob in the future if you make changes to it?
Thanks!
I kinda capped with my Crit Vaal Arc Elementalist, and built this... Only level 78 and having a ridiculous blast.
Thanks for the very in-depth while still concise guide! You mentioned no regen is not a concern for this build. Because of all the leech? But still I should be careful not to run OOM mid map right? And what am I looking for in the Lethal Pride?
Yeah, it's the leech and the instant Leech mastery. Main focus on Lethal Pride is Crit Multi or defensive stats like Phys taken as Ele.
did you try it also with forbidden flesh/flame and "more than skill". Gives you also lucky block chance and that way you could use a better shield with flat ele, atk speed etc.. Or is the flame wall dmg increase that high that it's not really an improvement? Really a good guide you set up here. Appreciate the effort!
Haven't tried that combo. It can work, but it will require a ton of adjustment. Svalinn does a lot for cheap.
@@PathofEvening yeah I just tryed it. You can switch your shield to "recover 5% healt/block" which is an insane boost imo. Also increased "mana efficiency for socket gems". So I can facetank most uberbosses with a quick and dirty gear already.
Actually there is also the crusader mod "1% increased Damage per 1% Chance to Block Attack Damage" => 75% increased dmg. That's quite good actually :)
Cant wait to get home and fix my slayer build cause this seems amazing.

That comes from a flask suffix.
Hi mate, excellent build guide right here. Much appreciated the effort put in! Quick question, in this build you are using tri ele dmg claw without hit can't be evade. May I know how do you make sure to cap hit chance here?
Yes and using Precision, accuracy in the tree, and a blind on hit tattoo
your thoughts and opinions on trickster vs slayer for LS? which one better overall, pros cons, costs, etc. tryna just pick one for rn lol
Slayer is much better as a starter
I did respec my Gladiator and I have to say this build is really fun and strong, even on a budget.
Excellent!
I know I should not reroll but I think I’m done with lacerate. It’s going to cost a lot of five to really push that more and I get random 1 shot sometimes
Nothing wrong with a reroll!
I’m following Fubgun’s version of this build. One way to deal with accuracy is having “Hits can’t be evaded” crafted on the weapon. Lets you have mote suffixes for res or frees up precision aura slot
Also costs a lot of damage. It can work as a option for a budget claw.
@@PathofEvening It really doesn't cost that much damage and we run HH, Nimis, rare shield, lot of abyss jewels with ele, etc. I do kinda want to try this version as well just specifically for bossing but that's about it.

Just the anger mod.
@@PathofEvening Thank you
Thanks for this build, anyway I have a silly question, can we also use LS of arcing on this build?
You can, but it's not as good in most cases. The damage numbers for LS of Arcing are lower, so your ST will suffer. The clear is great, so if you want to just use it for clearing, then it's solid, just be sure to drop all the sources of pierce from the build since they will be wasted stat budget.
@@PathofEvening Thanks a lot xD
Thank you for posting this! Last league I maxed and enjoyed heiro ice nova. It was a great all-arounder! At a similar level of investment (say moderate 100-200 div in the end state for me) how would you compare these two great builds??
This one is going to provide a lot of unique QoL, such as 20% cull, impale immunity, and overleech. It doesn't have quite the same kind of clear, but it's still a very quick, responsive build that deals a ton of damage, has a ton of defensie layers, and handles itself really well in all content.
@@PathofEvening thank you sir you’re my favorite btw!
Last comment - Thoughts on Ancestral Vision over Stormshroud? Thinking I want to go the Headhunter route and cap spell suppression with a new chest.
It's a good approach for the HH route.
Hi, I would like to try Headhunter as well (my first time, being a new player). Would you mind sharing how you changed the build using headhunter?
pob says taking the first two tinkture damage increase nodes give higher dps than taking the top +1 frenzy charge node. is that right, or does pob not calculate everyhting right because of the boots?
The Tincture stuff is a bit misleading because it only applies while Tinctures are active, which is not all of the time. You probably don't want to give up the consistent damage & defensiveness of extra Frenzy & Endurance charges for ~1% more burst damage.
Running this build and absolutely love it, but how do you get frenzy charges? I can't for the life of me figure out how you get them.
Ralakesh.
@@PathofEvening I am using Ralakesh, but I will extremely rarely see any frenzy charges, most maps I'll stick with a couple power charges and a few endurance, no frenzy.

I really like this build concept. Though I should point out that skitterbots doesn't work with Yoke. At least that's what everything I read said, check out the wiki.
They don't work with Yoke, they work with The Taming.
You could use Tornado of Elemental Turbulence in the shield! It has all 3 elemental tags, assuming those work.
We don't review builds, but does sound like you missed some detail. Need a weapon maybe. Should finish campaign the way you were leveling.
It's gotten much better now...I was struggling with the switch over to LS as soon as I got to the end of the campaign. I realized after a bit...I needed to get my gems leveled and I also switched too arms and ralakesh too soon. Definitely playing MUCH better now.
Any headhunter version of this? Also any tips on the most important points after swapping at around level 60?
We discussed the HH version in the video
nice video! as a new player im wondering how did you get the charisma node without it being connected?
It's an amulet anoint, which you apply with Blight oils.
Yeah we think shield is nice
Hey Llarod! Loving all the builds you make, played the cyclone hiero last league and it smacked t17s. Wanted to do a flicker slayer and chanced upon your build so I am gonna play this now! However, I can't open your POB in the app, there's an error. Is there an update or something?
Thank you! Yup, you will want to check for updates to PoB. You can turn on weekly beta builds in PoB as well in the options menu.
out of curiosity, if I have MB and ailment immunity and have a solid build going like you have here (not perfect, but good), is there any map mods to stay away from, or can I actually do them all? This is assuming t16 level maps for now, when I start t17s I guess that question I would ask again :)
Reduced Extra Damage From Crits is annoying, Monsters Cannot Be Leeched is annoying, and then pretty much just the usual mods that make monsters more dangerous. Technically, you can do any mod, but some are more dangerous than others.
@@PathofEvening appreciate the response, thanks.. and I subbed :) Your build slaps :)
Yeah, you can swap to Svalinn at any point you like.
I haven't seen the whole video yet so forgive my insolence, but I'm planning on making a MB with banishing sword ignores ele res on crits, I'll be using watchers eye that's brilliant for vitality and when using purity of elements gives me +49 chaos res, any other recommendations for me?
Sounds like a pretty good build concept!
Most likely. Could be crits, but Chaos is the biggest culprit.
hollow palm pob in description is great but i complete campain coulple hrs faster with fissure of snaking walk and click everything dies. but that gem can be pricy.
Good alternative!
Do i lose the endurance charges if i use Arn's anguish?
Great guide btw❤
