Also Smilax or Greenbrier is an attractive albeit extremely vigorous, native wild vine. West Virginia even named a county after a variety of Greenbrier. But we do have a lot of it down here in SC. In the Upstate the Greater Greenville Area garden clubs decorated the Kilgore-Lewis House for Christmas also using native greens when possible like magnolia.
