I would recommend only letting the ghost feature be available after you beat the level, as it would expose the right route to finish the level, causing troll levels especially to not be able to troll you anymore.

Well said. I really liked the music idea. I think the real reason behind water and lava being limited to their themes is to make those themes more unique from others, but I think that the idea of being able to place individual water and lava tiles would be really cool.

In the mario maker 2014 trailer, the timer could be increased to 999, and I want infinite time, cause I always wanted to make a 1hr lvl

Very nice video. This game has a lot of untapped potential, the amount of limitations takes away the creativity and freedom to make what you want, being something that the first game had. Hopefully there will be a third part with much more content and more "freedom" for everything.

Exactly, SMB Deluxe and NSMB2 does have time clocks.
Though I also want the SMB style to have the "TIME" text instead of the icon, like what they did with the original and the original beta of the first SMM game
I think the reason u can't place stuff in the starting area cos they don't want u interacting with stuff while u wait for the countdown in online multiplayer
That would make sense. Too bad the online multiplayer is unplayable most of the time lol
@@Chipss yeah. I too have a few ideas on how to improve stuff. Like at the very least make every gizmo compatible in every style. Change a loads of 3dw stuff to act how they do in the game, fire bros and porcupuffers in the classic styles (srsly, y weren't they there), allow for a minimum and a maximum height for rising liquids in addition to choosing its starting point and removing the ground blocks on the end of slopes

I was saying it should be an option, so that if the creator wanted the player to keep their power-up they could enable that feature. I agree that it should not always be on. Also, thank you for your kind words!

I tried to replicate my Wipe Out level from the original from memory and the physics felt incredibly off.
All you need is more tiles and Enemies and you got mario maker 3
An exact quote from the video: "I will not be suggesting specific course parts such as blocks, enemies, bosses, gizmos, and sound effects. Even further: "Only suggesting content additions to the game doesn’t really carry the conversation forward, as these additions don’t necessarily improve the game, they only make it bigger."

Nice video. How would world maps handle game-style specific power-ups though?
That’s an interesting question. If I had to guess, if Nintendo were to actually allow it, an equivalent powerup would be given when switching to another game style.
For example, if the player has the acorn suit in one level, it will give the cape/tanooki in SMW/SMB3 and fire flower/cat in SMB1/3DW.
Or just make all powerups universal somehow
@@saverton8442 That’s the better solution lol. I would personally prefer if all unique items were universal (e.g. all power-ups in all styles, but small differences between them in each styles are ok). But personally, the one thing I would want them to add would be placeable water/lava/poison tiles in all styles and themes. Maybe they could even be slopable. Right now I’m making a beach super world using MM2’s asthetic techniques to the fullest, and water tiles in all
styles would go a long way, both for looks and level-design.
