    Thank you to Salt Cycles in Sandy Utah for the incredible support they offer to my RUclips channel. They are an Ibis, Yeti, Pivot, Transition, Revel, Evil and Cannondale dealer and likely have the bike you're looking for in stock! You can support this channel by purchasing your next bike from Chris at Salt Cycles. # 801-943-8502 They can custom build your bike just how you want it and save you a lot of money and brain damage in the process!! Call Christ and see if he has what you're looking for and tell them you're a friend of YUMYUM!!

      Yeah. Wish we could have ridden Pinecone but didn't have time... Wish Pinecone was down hill only. Maybe they'll put in an alternate up hill only trail to the top of puke hill and me Pinecone dh!!

I help coach a high school team here in the formerly NICA-sponsored now Colorado Cycling League. Couldn't agree more with your comments on safety and FUN. @@mtbyumyum everyone drinking the 29r coolaid I guess. I'm 5'5 and do fine on 29er xc bikes but on the longer trail bikes they just feel like driving a boat. My trails are very twisty too. Plus I really dig the 2.6 tires and 29ers that wide feel so heavy to spin up. Anyway glad I got one before they're gone!

    So happy you're still making videos, whatever they are just keep them coming. Was glad to see how concerned you were for Marci after her fall, way to look out for your bride man! I had a 2021 V2 Ripmo with the X2 and 36 last season (wish I kept it) and always wanted to try it with the Float X but couldn't make it happen. I bet its a killer combo. Not sure why Ibis is going with the Fox 38 and X2 as standard now, seems to take away from the natural DNA of the bike. Any thoughts on what the V3 will look like? I hope they don't over "enduro" it without replacing the existing Ripmo nature. Either way another Ripmo will be in my future for sure, after the Revel Rail 29!

    • @mtbyumyum
      @mtbyumyum  2 года назад +1

      Yeah, I agree with you. The current Ripmo as sold stock does not fit the original DNA that I loved about that bike. In any case, I think the next Ripmo will be more Enduro and IBIS will likely put a new bike in between the Ripley and ripmo or maybe beat up the Ripley a bit now that they have the Exie… we’ll see.

  • @johnries4372
    @johnries4372 2 года назад +1

    I know you said the Ripmo may be overkill for what you rode, but if you had one bike for park city (moderately aggressive rider, new to the area) that wants one bike to ride the whole area (Glenwild, round valley, PCMR) with weekly lift served laps, would you recommend this bike? I’m between this and the YT Jeffsy, or slightly less travel with maybe a revel rascal/SB130. Oh caveat, I really prefer 27.5 bikes but feel like this is the smarter move. Thanks, love the channel

    • @mtbyumyum
      @mtbyumyum  2 года назад

      The Ibis Ripmo, Yeti SB130 LR and Rocky Mountain Instinct are the 3 bikes that come to mind for PC including the handful of DV lift service days. They pedal well and can still handle Tsunami, Fireswamp, NCS lift service stuff. My pick would be the Ripmo. Call Chris… he’ll make you a deal you cant turn down right now on a Ripmo or SB130 LR 801-943-8502

    • @mtbyumyum
      @mtbyumyum  2 года назад

      It's hard to pass on the Mojo4... it's feels so much lighter weight than the 5010... that said, the new 5010 is a mullet and I like that! Good luck. If you end up purchasing from Backcountry please use my links! Ibis Mojo 4: bit.ly/3esisS5 Santa Cruz 5010: bit.ly/3EaLzDX

    Are you a 29er guy now? Still riding my HD5 and love it although it’s tough to keep up with the big wheel buddies and notice I get hung up on the tech stuff sometimes. 27.5 is just more fun and agile to pop around, I bought an AF on the sale and sold it after one ride. I’m about your height 5’9” and am curious on your thoughts because you used to be a small wheel guy

    • @mtbyumyum
      @mtbyumyum  2 года назад +1

      I’ve been wanting to try the relatively new Fox Float X shock. I thought it would be perfect on the Ripmo and it is! Fox 36 just to match the shock. I really like this Ripmo set up this way. More “trail” less “enduro” given the Ripmo is now stock w a fox 38 and X2. I sort of want to build up a beefier Ripley and see how it compares w this Ripmo…
