    Excuse me for a question, what kind of fabric? It's the one they put on the infected Superman what is the name of the fabric please tell me

    • @GeekSummit
      @GeekSummit  7 месяцев назад

      No lie, I don’t know the fabric TYPE, I work by touch when selecting fabrics. But this was definitely atleast a 2 way stretch polyester/cotton blend. It had a slight sports jersey texture/pattern to it. I hope that info helps some.

      @@GeekSummit So what kind of fabric does this Superman cape have that you made or did you make what is it called?

  • @vortex4813
    @vortex4813 3 года назад +2

    Is really a problema to take out the original cape?

    • @GeekSummit
      @GeekSummit  3 года назад +3

      Not really. Just grab it firmly and pull. You may want to pop the arms out first so you’re just dealing with the torso.

      @@GeekSummit I'm doing the same custom cape for this figure (I love its evil face), did you use a video to make the cape wired? I've already made two and I don't like the results, maybe the fabric, maybe my hands haha

      @@vortex4813 my own recipe, didn’t use a video to make this video. I just made the video.

    I am trying to make a spiderman spandex costume for 1/6 figure. I was considering using heat n bond soft stretch ultra. Would the heat n bond be strong enough not to split apart at the seams even during dynamic poses like leg splits and crouching poses. Does it hold the seams just as well as stitching?

    • @GeekSummit
      @GeekSummit  3 года назад

      You might experiment with the small roll (as big as electric tape) and see what you see there. I use the high-bond assortment because my hems are so small. I think what’s most important is that you use a 4-way stretch spandex. That way it’s stretching across the body as well as with the hens? Just a thought but seems important.

    • @Augnalius
      @Augnalius 3 года назад +1

      thanks. What is high bond assortment?

    • @GeekSummit
      @GeekSummit  3 года назад

      @@Augnalius I believe just the stronger adhesive

    • @Augnalius
      @Augnalius 3 года назад +1

      Heatnbond soft stretch comes in light and ultra. I guess ultra would be the same thing as the high bond assortement.

    • @GeekSummit
      @GeekSummit  3 года назад

      @@Augnalius you might be right. BUT I will stand by the 4way stretch of the fabric being a must. Likely takes a lot of the stress off your hems.

    How would you suggesting doing a McFarlane Batman?

    • @GeekSummit
      @GeekSummit  3 года назад +1

      It depends on the figure. The Rebirth Batman can for sure be done just like this. Other figures like Detective#1000 I’d recommend doing the work under the collar (check out my other videos).

    What is the type of fabric used for this?

    • @GeekSummit
      @GeekSummit  3 года назад

      You’ll want to use a thinner but slightly heavyweight polyester. Like what is used to make Halloween costumes.
