Ok but out of pure observation:
Scott’a music has enhanced the Alan Becker experience.
I swear ever since Pigstep, the atmosphere of each episode has done nothing but improved - both the improvement in each score and the effect on the episode.
So give it up for this guy 👏👏👏🎉🎉
Thanks so much! ❤
I'd says since the Parkour episode.
@@JiReyAnimation ok true- it’s just that pigstep was the most memorable for me 🫠
@@ScottBuckley don’t mention it ✨
Это еще одно доказательство того, что все виды искусства связанны между собой. Анимация (рисование) ничто без музыки. Туда же можно добавить поэтов, чтобы максимально красиво излагать свои мысли
" Its just a stickfigure doing math you dont have to go too hard "
Scott Buckley:
It has science vibe
Makes the theme of the end of the world
My favorite part is around 3:00 when TSC starts to grasp the concept of exponentiation and the scale gradually shift as the melody gains more depth to it. It really underlines how incomprehensibly immense mathematics are.
I think the music captures math's essence really good. It feels like a song you would hear in a space movie and it makes perfect sense since math is the study of space, quality, structure and tons of other things. Along with that math is something you see everywhere in the universe. Props to you dude, this song made the animation 10 times better.
Exactly what I thought!
I would explain it another way: the music tries to describe the way of learning maths, trying to explain something you didn't explain to yourself yet. How do you learn maths? You start out simple: addition. 2 is equal to 1+1, 1+1=2. You then use this newly learned knowledge to find more functions, more properties, which become even more tools for the learning process. You use tools to create tools, which are used to make even more tools, and the cycle continues, and this is exactly the thing that I feel while listening to this. Scott Buckley didn't just try to make a space-like song, he tried to explain maths through sound (sound is also maths by the way, as a sound is a wave), and I'd say he did a perfect job at that.
Aperture Science vibes
@@IAmTheCheddarMan That also explains why I enjoyed it so much lol.
Yeah this really reminds me of "timelapse of the entire universe" and its a space song
As soon as the dividing by zero bit happened I think I said out loud “ok Scott Buckley is popping off” because that moment was perfectly unnerving
Now I know what music to play when I do my math homework
Real
haha true lol
Try to find that Euler's identity
Yes.
same
*Scott knows the melody of math*
It seems like you tried new style and you succeded to make it incredibly fitting. Thank you! ❤

I love this! This felt like the background track to a math/science video, like kurzgesagt’s videos. It’s abstract and just… fits so well. And yet I can hear the “Alan Becker soundtrack” vibes mixed in too!
“We are nothing but a speck of dust compared to even just a gas giant” every thirty seconds
@@aguyonyoutube1131seriously it has kurzgesagt style
To be fair, "Alan Becker soundtrack vibes" is literally just Scott Buckley music.

I wanted this world to have a little bit of a different vibe 🙂

10:10 I absolutely love that bassy synth-like instrument in the background
The melody is amazing along with the sound itself
A perfect theme when your stuck in a math pocket dimension. I love this theme.
I absolutely love how the theme sounds so.. Alien? Its so calm and peaceful yet, it gives the undertones of something unknown and even little bit unsettling. With the theme building up more and more, its sounds like an eye opener on what we are discovering. Love it so much! Keep it up!
It may sound unknown because we haven't and never will get every result possible in mathematics. Many things have been a mystery since the start of time. Mathematics only expands, and does not limit anyone to a strict solution. Every mathematical problem has an infinite amount of solution. An example is the Proof of the Pythagorean theorem. You may've heard a couple of months ago a new solution proposed by two students.
As for the unsettlement, it is like this because maybe of the action happening and we can associate this to what we know many students find hard - mathematics.
Also, nice finishing explanation :).
Sounds like Interstellar movie
Honestly, makes sense. We are experiencing this from the perspective a small stickfigure, who probably barely knows their own power. Math is a gigantic concept, but TSC will never find out how each and every topic aligns and how every number falls into perfect order. Even though he is kind of a number himself (FPS) all of this is just so gigantic, it seems so vigorously terrifying… and yet he leaves by getting sent to the 127,102,292,281 dimension.

scott really is an amazing music creator. feels like he brought avm to life
What a good sire
Thanks
This feels very space-y, abstract, and it feels like the universe and math. Well done!
It actually kinda reminds me of the soundtrack to Melodysheep's "Timelapse of the Future", and watching that gave me a good crisis for the next month
Your soundtrack is one of the best parts of Alan Becker's animation! It just creates a perfect atmosphere for each episode! For instance, "Parkour" was a silent episode until the music kicked in and you immediately knew "something is not right" or how the remixed Pigstep created an awesome boss battle atmosphere, or how the music in "The King" and "Note Block Universe" perfectly conveyed emotions (something specially difficult since the characters don't talk)! And in this episode the music created that perfect "math vibe" with everything following rules and slotting into place!
Your music sounds so cool! I love how dynamic it is and how it tells a story with different emotions.
Stunning. Feels like something produced for Hollywood, a sci-fi like ‘Oblivion’, it’s so good.
Also, stuck in my head for days now because my 8yo keeps playing Animation v Math over and over, so thanks for that. 😂
He adores it. It starts to go over my head really quickly, but I’m sure he understands it better than I do. Ultimately, he just loves the carnage because he’s 8. 😂
The synth sounds paired with classic orchestral timbres is what made it for me. You get it a lot but Alan’s animation would not be the same without this awesome score!
The tone of this music has the sound of silent ambiance of the unknown.
It's eerie and i love it
Очень красивый саундтрек. Ты явно постарался над ним, потому что была создана атмосфера, атмосфера чего то понятного и непонятного нашему сознанию, атмосферу загадочного и высшего. Потрясающая работа, Скотт!

The music made the episode feel so atmospheric it wouldn't be the same at all without it👍👑
Beautiful as always. The soundtrack added so much life to this entertaining yet near-incomprehensible maths battle. A round of applause to the great Scott Buckley.
I absolutely loved this music Scott!! It really gave the vibe of exploring math and its beauties…and it perfectly complements the animation! Thank you Scott!!
I just realized how perfectly crafted this 4 note melody is... At the beginning, the melody gives a sense of mystery, the unknown. But a good unknown, one to be explored. However, later (7:24 to be precise) when the unknown becomes dangerous, that same melody gives a sense of urgency, danger, uncertainty. Nice job Scott!
Truly a great score of the feeling of attacking math itself.
TSC almost did that with imaginary numbers, the square roots of negative numbers destroy the base of math
@@bobuxman1434he must have put a great deal of effort to master math
This is a brilliant piece of work Scott. The slow, steady buildup is perfect, and the repeated D# that pings over and over in the intro gives a rhythm for the listener without using drums, while also "trapping" the melody into certain keys (kinda' like how Orange is trapped in the math zone). The synths at 3:08 remind me of Tron, which is also a "character stuck in an abstract world" vibe. There's a lot more I could say: the flourishes give life to Orange's thoughts without words, there's a great transition to the finale... Kudos on this release! It is a massive driving force in the video and it fits so well.
When I first heard it I was enthralled by this music. It’s so peaceful and exciting yet at the same time unnerving when it needs to be, exactly like Alan’s animation
"Math is dull what are you talking about?"
"Yeah yeah, keep talking"
lmao

Music of mystery, discovery, and alien beauty. An absolutely incredible piece. Enhanced the experience so much!
I'm always amazed by how good your songs are and how well they fit in on Alan Becker's animations, you guys really do a great job working together creating those masterpieces!! Well done!!
(Imagine if Alan decides to do the same type of animation but with musical notes👀)
He did in AvM episode 29
@@pigscanfly468 Thing is it's that is on the Minecraft universe, not really the notes or the symbols, what I mean is against all the musical symbols, notes and stuff just like this video with the real thing yk

Scott Buckley never fails to make Alan Becker animations more exciting to watch. This might be one of my favorites alongside The Noteblock Universe and Pigstep AVM Remix.
I think it's even better than either of those
note block battle is probably the close second for me, then pigstep remix

The song athmosphere is so good it repressent conciousness, the feeling of being watched, the aura felt so different like Other worldy soundtrak, the feeling of danger, the feeling of getting chased, the feeling of being existing, the power that math has can make a singular atom be a black hole

What an amazing song!
Absolutely incredible, awakened an unexplainable feeling I've seldom felt before, and almost forgot what it was. Keep doing your good work sir.
I know you've seen this type of comment countless times, but that's not important. What's important, is that everyone wrote their message their own way. Anyway, I'm getting aside of my comment, let me restart :
Your music is important for Alan Becker. It help his animations to get in a better mood than if there wasn't music. Which means, that your music is important for 100% of the viewers. Your pieces of music are a key item of Alan's mystery soup, and I hope you won't stop to do his music for at least a good while.
Its Kataklysm, and I'm logging off.
I love your music, and never stop getting inspired to do it !
Scott a mesmerising soundtrack. Hauntingly beautiful. I can hear this definitely on a drone video. A big thumbs up from a Patreon subscriber 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
This sounds like the intro theme to your favorite show as a child
Like it sounds so nostalgic
9:44 HITS DIFFERENT🔥🔥🔥
The theme song from Interstellar is running through my head, also the animation is profound, informative, that you would observe every formulas.
My phylosophy is that music makes everything more full and interesting, especially ambient music. Imagine the video without music. This is great track!
Goosebump parts
4:07 Complex number, plus, minus and multiply chasing
7:23 infinity, pie, sin cos tan trigonometry things and circle fighting
This score is so cool! Really has that atmospheric/mysterious vibe to it, superb job, Scott!

you did such a wonderful job covering the ambience of the animation! it enhances the mystery and ambition of math logic that i just had to rewatch a lot to enjoy the ambient! kudos to you for partaking in!
The low brass hitting when he first discovers the square root hits different; and the soft piccolo when he discovers π feels so mysteriously beautiful and humble - all of it made me, weirdly, really emotional :')) Just reflective I guess of how beautifully math grows from the fundamentals
The whole buildup to the first major confronation with Euler's identity too, and the synths hitting when it projects itself upwards onto the imaginary plane, GAAHHHHH SO FUCKING GOODDDD
So much about this to gush over man
This piece gives me chills! Literally nothing else would fit this episode better
It sounds so calm yet determined. Just like The Second Coming!
Scott's music is absolutely marvelous. No he isn't Hans Zimmer or anything, but the level of quality and sound work from his music is insane, this sounds like something that would come out of a literal movie soundtrack. It is brilliant. Keep it up man, please.
The music perfectly complements the animation. It evokes mystery and wonder. Well done!
The music of Scott Buckley makes Alan's animation look like a movie.
i love how otherworldly this feels because it gives off the perfect vibe for an endless void, it makes you feel like your not alone
After watching the first 30 seconds of the animation i wanted to hear the music...
Truly amazing your talent

Hey Scott, Animation vs. Math is an awesome video but in my comment in that video, I pointed out that part of the reason I love it, is because of its amazing music so was great to find this -- great work on the score and thanks for publishing! 👍🏼

This is like interstellar and tenet fused in one along with the entire conundrum of space and time. Absolute Magic!
this song demonstrates a story.. One day as an scientist, you figure out a huge asteroid is coming towards earth. But the problem is you need to calculate the speed, velocity, time. but if you dont the world ends. you gather the smartest people in the world to work on this problem. And after 3 days you and your team calculate it. but there is only 3 more hours until doom. One person, Someone has to go plant a device that would move it away. you chose to do it. You enter a ship called nasus 679, and is flown to the asteroid. you are set ontop of the asteroid but then there is rocks hitting you. As you are planting the devcie you start to enter earth’s atmosphere. You plant it and run to the ship. And you did it. You saved everyone. But you discover something. something big. There are more asteroids that arent empty. they contain…. Species. you try to tell your co workers and the world but they dont belive you. Since they dont believe you. you make your own space ship. you train for a month. then people see the asteroid with the species and regret not believing in you. you fly to collect the species but you then relize you cant. you go back to earth and enter a desert. you have 2 friends helping you and you only have 3 weeks.

Incredible, evocative soundscape you have crafted here. This elevated a good video to a great one. I echo the comment I saw relating this to the same vibes I get with some of the best Kurzgesagt songs; so wonderfully fitting for an abstract, space-y, math-y adventure like this. Really hope you get the chance to do professional music like this for a wider audience. I'll be listening! : )
Out of all the tracks you've made for this series, this one was my favorite by far.

Hey ! I asked myself a fairly simple question but which I can't answer, was the music created for the video, or was it the video that was drawn from the music?

Incredible work, man. I've had this on repeat for hours now, and that's no accident.
Almost two years ago i found your Pigstep remix and i found it to be really good.
Then some while ago i almost accidentally found you again and really enjoyed all the music you're doing.
Now i just realized that you are the same guy who does soundtracks for the Alan Becker's animations! That's amazing to know.
Also, great soundtrack
The music matches perfectly with a math vid
It's literally the kind of music I want to listen to while doing my math homework lol
This is so good. I love it
The music seems to go well with the theme of curiosity and inquiry. Very good!
i really like how this captures the feeling of TSC being in some weird dimension and discovering new things, great job Scott (like always!)
This is a good music to represent math, it just feels like a different reality where TSC was in the Animation VS Math video
It has science vibe 😉
Mate, i just commented on the Animation vs Math video about how your music enhanced the experience so much, specially the moments where the character is discovering new things, this track is a fantastic fit to every moment on that video, both the slow and the epic there, and i loved that note change when the character finally vanishes to it's reality, followed by the ending, i also got some "The Matrix" vibes from some of the moments there too when both characters are about to enter the other dimension. This is a great work man, very well done.
This music can be used to any alien movie about discovery, mystery and conflict
This is a BIG BRAIN song
