    I've always referred to little walkdowns and embellishments in my playing as fills but realized just how wrong I was. They are fancy fiddly bits! I just discovered your channel this morning. You did a great lesson on a GREAT song. I just watched a video of The Moody Blues playing this song live and he played it on a 12-string. I pulled my (too long ignored) 12-string out for this one and the extra octave note really adds a lot to it. I look forward to going through your library of videos and adding a few new songs to my mix! Thanks for making the video!

    Just browsed through my videos...thank you so much Sir, I wanted to learn this lick (hammer ons/pull off on the D chord). Brilliant lesson! Don't know if I'll make it through but I'll work!
    Thank you again! 🎶🎶🎶

    What's with the fancy fiddly bits? lol :) haha Someone said that to me one day. True! :) Actually he called it fancy playing. Being completely self taught myself, I was just playing by feel and ear. I have zero formal music education. We played because we loved it yet we had no idea what we were playing. I'm mean rhythmically. We hammered the chord progressions into our minds along with the timing. It was all instinct and a lot of listening to cassettes. I don't miss cassettes. :)

    Great, love the “fiddly Bits” and the way they enhance a single guitar arrangement. Thanks Ivor

    Thank you Ivor for another great lesson! The little riffs and fills really add so much beauty to the song in addition to playing the chords and strumming. Thanks also for your wonderful teaching style. I’m becoming a much more proficient player thanks to your wonderful lessons on these classics!

    Love this lesson. Again Ivor, your transcriptions. I just love them because they are so accurate. For others. please look at Ivor's massive range of tutorials. (This is an unpaid plug, because I am a huge fan of Ivor's excellent lessons :) ) I'm playing a Ukelele tuned down to an A. So my Gm is Em. :/ Regardless, I loved the fiddle bits. I had a listen to the original and the riff is (I believe) a sextuplet. (6 notes) The synth seems to sustaining a note over the riff. Really enjoyed learning this Ivor. Great song. Thanks Steve. :)

    Thank you Ivor; for your generosity in providing so many wonderful lessons. A quick question;
    you previously mentioned that you played music semi-professionally....was it within a specific genre /style ?

      Hi silbanis. Thank you for your feedback. To answer your question, I mainly played in covers bands playing songs from the 50's up to what was current at the time. Ivor
