Jason Jacoby's Third Arrest - What Now?

  • iRacing streamer Jason Jacoby has been arrested for a third time, but the story doesn't exactly end there. An increasing array of evidence and anecdotes from Jason himself have revealed that his family is fully aware of the extent of his creepy behavior, yet work extensively to keep him out of trouble. This includes spending serious cash on a legal team to protect Jason, even knowing Jason will sabotage things anyways, and attempting to smear the character of Jason's victims - highly inappropriate conduct knowing their son suffers from schizophrenia and is prone to bouts of delusions and sometimes violent outbursts.
Jason's family could have easily contacted his victims and apologized for their son's/brother's behavior. Instead, they block people, hire attorneys, and attempt to smear the character of his victims. They do this all while simultaneously hiding electronics from him, knowing deep down that he's dangerously unstable. Peak cognitive dissonance. I almost feel sorry for them. Almost.

His parents should be held accountable for allowing him to keep using the internet to harass other people on all social media platforms. iRacing should also be held accountable for allowing him to harass other drivers, even though it's in their code of conduct saying that no driver should harass other people like officials, drivers, and fans.

He literally had no effect on my job whatsoever. I hope this kid gets the help he needs. I never had to explain anything to anyone at my job as nobody who I work with would have given a situation like this a second thought and would realize he is a troubled kid. I only have one supervisor and when I mentioned this situation to them they thought it was absolutely bizarre and sad. I literally haven’t given this situation your talking about a second thought, I’m sorry he has had such a negative impact on your professional life but the only time I hear anything about this kid is when someone refers me to a video like this because my name and where I work is mentioned. Maybe now you can move on and put this kid in your rear view mirror.

That's not true. Jason doesn't have a record. They will give him something like... " 3 years suspended to 3 years probation" he will have to complete mental health classes and pay fines etc. They will probably have another court order saying he can't be on social media... That will be the key. Bc he's proved he can't do that. And he won't. Then when he breaks his probation he will then get a mandatory prison sentence. I can't swear by it, but I'm very familiar with the system especially down that way. Meth did alot to people down south, and sadly cases like Jason are VERY VERY common. And I've seen it time after time. Don't get too excited just yet

Can he really not control it tho? All that matters now is if he can control his urge just for a few weeks he can do really bad things. He can’t control the urge forever but if he can control it long enough to get the revenge he also seems to kinda be seeking and definitely probably will now that it’s gotten to this point. He has nothing to lose. He probably will end up back in jail unless he doesn’t end his own life but that doesn’t mean he won’t do something bad before that happens even if it’s to a random person.

@DJ Moose Things get interesting when you start looking up the definitions of "employee" and "contract worker". Though under contract, I was given a company email, 30 vacation days, was provided the tools to do my job as opposed to supplying them myself (IE test kits) and was listed on the company's site as a staff member. An argument can be made that I was technically an employee. You could also argue stuff like the company had to give me at least one months' notice that my contract wouldn't be renewed, and they didn't. There are a lot of interesting doors I know 100% are open that sadly I can't pursue because I just don't have the money.

Jason Two-Two REFUSED to get the help that he needed. This is what so many people fail to understand here when it comes to the mentally ill. ONLY the afflicted can help themselves from their own ailments, disorders and conditions. If they can't be helped, or in this case, they refuse it and cause tons of damage and harm towards others, the logical course of action is to throw the bastards into Prison. That's just the reality that we live in. It's not "nice", I never claimed it would be "nice", just "logical".

@@DR3ADER1 wrong. There is such a thing as court mandated therapy, which can and should include locking into a mental facility for treatment and rehabilitation. Not regular jail.
A huge part of the reason why the us penitentiary system fails is exactly because there isn't enough court mandated therapy going on, which results in lots of mentally ill being stuck together in violent survivalist conditions instead of getting any sort of help. How on earth would that solve anything? All you achieve is to make the situation worse.

Dr3D1 is correct, I spoke with jason about trying to get some professional help & he sincerely doesn't believe he has a problem. He views the world in a completely different capacity than you or I do. I really liked how Austin worded this video because allot of people jumped on my shit thinking I was defending the kid & I wasn't ,I simply have allot of experience with this kind of thing & you can clearly see he is not in control upstairs. Doesn't mean he is 100% innocent but hopefully the system will see he needs professional help & maybe with medication & therapy he can turn his life around.

@@hoyle7780 Having mental issues is still quite taboo - particularly in the US. Someone suffering from mental illness not recognizing it themselves and not being willing to accept that they might have it is no big surprise. If you can't admit you have a problem, naturally you will refuse treatment.
This is exactly where the system should step in and attempt to cure, rather than punish. I'm relieved Jason's off the streets, but prison won't cure him! It will only enrage him... and if it teaches him proper violence as a suitable outlet... let's just say I wouldn't want to be in his path of destruction once he gets out again...
