A very Happy New Year🎉 Loved the video. It’s so helpful to follow your though process and why you make the decisions you do. Best of luck with the STRAD challenge!
Hallo dear Clare and happy New year!!!! Could you explain me the difference between linseed oil, turpentine and white spirit in oil painting, please ?? Thank you so much and may God bless you!!! Spyros !!
Linseed oil is oil that often binds together oil paint powder. Turpentine is often used by artists to thin their paint and is a natural resin from trees. White spirit is a artificial man made and some people clean their brushes with it. Hope this helps!
Hello Clare, just found and subscribed to your channel. I'm somewhat new to oil painting and love your brush handling and your gentle approach to your subjects. I would love to know the type of paint saver "garage" you use on your palette. It looks like a great way to "always be ready to paint." Thank you!
Thank you Barbara 😊 it’s called a Palette Garage from the USA. Mine is a 14” you can order them from Great Art Tools. Good luck with your painting. Best Clare
So pretty! Could you tell me the name and size and type of brushes the silver or gray handle ones were that you used for the small details. For example the gray line you made around the lid of the pot near the end of the video? Your line was so precise and nice! Thank you!
Happy 2023, Claire! I hope you win the January 2023 STRADA 31-Day Challenge; thank you for filming and posting "day 1" I look forward to your next videos. Loli 🙂
Thank you, what an inspiration, can’t wait to paint my red teapot. Yours is beautiful, both the real one (where is it from please?) and the painted one! Happy and a healthy 2023 to you both.
Hello Clare, I wish you and Mr B a happy new year 2023. Congratulations on this beautiful painting: the gloss of the pot is superbly rendered. I am always impressed with the size of the brush you use in relation to the small details achieved.
A Happy New Year to you! I love your videos…keep them coming please. Especially valuable is the real time decision making process you verbalize and of course the colour mixing choices. Keeping it painterly is always my challenge…which is why I joined the Strada challenge too. Stay healthy!
Bonjour de France ( Bourgogne) Clare, vos tableaux sont toujours aussi bien réalisés, c'est un plaisir sans cesse renouvelé que de visionner vos démonstrations. Je vous souhaite une excellente année 2023. Roger Roussel.🖌️🎨🎇
