Joseph and DIO: We are in the obligation of a staring war.
Kakyoin was the one Crusader that DIO always took seriously, given how clever he was (best example was against Mannish Boy and Death 13). The one time the 20-Meter Emerald Splash would have actually worked, but he didn’t realize about DIO’s timehax until after he already got donuted. That’s the ONLY reason he died. And even then, he at least gave Joseph a message about that in his final moments.
RIP Noriyaki “Cherry Boi” Kakyoin. Your sacrifice has not gone unrewarded; the other Crusaders would have lost if it wasn’t for you.

@@soapybread I don't think kakyoins was the most saddest these guys where the saddest because of the moments around everything, I mean abachio was a person who had to live with the fact that he was a dirty cop and that's why his cop/friend died then when he dies and goes to heaven his partner said he did a good job and that he helped everyone. Narancha when he died everyone was shocked, he was like the kid of the group and him dying shocked everyone because it was out of nowhere. His stand FLEW along the clouds basicly saying he was in heaven, his friend the person who taught him who found him at his lowest of lows looked back like he knew something was wrong, and he was never even part of the group at the time. And we all know why butiratis death is sad. Kakyoins is not the saddest death by far.

It's pretty subtle how araki remembers of kakyoin ,one exemple is when koichi gets kira first in his stomach ( like kakyoin) and jotaro just gets up all fucked up to beat kira

Kira: It’s so fast it’s like it stopped time
Kakyoin only kind of saw it happen the one time before he died. When the people are getting punched by Star Platinum, it would feel like a bunch of hits, at exactly the same time. That would make it easier to compare it to the feeling of time stopping. And its correlation that he died trying to figure it out. He would've been able to figure it out even if he didn't die. There are a TON of differentiating factors that go into this. Also Dio would've just instantly killed them in most cases when time was stopped.

I love the idea of Dio honoring Kakyoin's death by helping in the song honestly. Not only was Kakyoin the first Crusader to engage with him before Jotaro, he was the only Stand user *ever* close to touching him, with the only exception being Hol Horse, who would have surely died if he would've pulled the trigger. Not only was he the one who was closest to ever truly hurting Dio since Jonathan, even in his death he kept fighting in any way he could.
Kakyoin always was and will always be one of my favorite Jojo characters, on par with the main characters themselves. His calm and suave attitude with his genuine and really sincere care for others always just made him so much fun to watch, and his ending was bittersweet and sad. I'm glad this character got to go out on such a great scene - and while I'm sure it would've been great to see him in Parts 4 and 6, I think this is a great conclusion to his character. The ultimate sacrifice to help everyone, and the winning move in the ultimate game of chess.
Kakyoin deserved better
