- ( www.TFLtruck.com ) The 2015 Ford F-150 3.5L EcoBoost pickup is perhaps Ford's best new towing rig since Ford no longer offers the 6.2L in the new 2015 Ford F-150 Pickup. In another fun and informative TFLtruck review Nathan and Roman mashup the new Ford F-15 with the new Chevy Silverado 6.2L V-8 and the 5.7L Ram HEMI V-8 in an epic towing test video.

I just traded my 5.0L F-150 for a Ecoboost and wow. Both are amazing, Ford really hit a home run with their line up. I recently put a Heartthrob cat back on the Ecoboost and she moves!!!
1. The Chevy's steering wheel does telescope but it's on a separate lever.
2. The Ram has cylinder deactivation but not direct injection.
3. You guys are the biggest tools! Keep it up.
Cylinder deactivation on Hemi's.
Doesn't matter about the ram anyways it gets pretty good fuel economy with the 8 speed
nageorgiou2 Okay when was the last time "Ram" and "good fuel economy" went in the same sentence?
Tyler Pritchett when the hemi gets 22 mpg...?
TheCrEaSe44 Oh snap!
You can't go wrong with any American truck on the market today. To squabble about it is stupid. Buy and drive what you like. If your truck isn't doing what you need start dumping money into aftermarket parts. People act like we live in a rigid caste system where we can't do what we want.
On the contrary, you go wrong with any of them.
Now this is how you're videos should be. Rear axle numbers and even a look at the cargo, with as much info bout the trucks spec's as you could give us. I know you can't always get the specs, rear axle ratio, or look into a enclosed trailer on every quick review, but this gives people no excuses or no doubt at what truck configurations are being compared. Good job!
Great last minute testing, I could really hear the difference
I know it is quite off topic but do anyone know of a good place to watch new tv shows online?
the sound technology is really cool, i am ready to see these on the road
you guys should do a test with that old ford dually in the backround bet that has the nicest interior period and the most power
yep
Look at Nathan's face his body posture so relaxed in the Ford
I own a 2014 Silverado and my steering wheel telescopes, you need to let the viewers know that it is an option for the new Silverado's.
was just looking at a 2015 silverado high country today, and they did finally add telescoping steering column. so glad to see they listened to that gripe cause that would have bothered me too.
There all amazing trucks. Period.
They're
@@joedirttae9152spelling police look out
TFL guys. The Silverado DOES come with a telescoping steering. Its an option that you can add/purchase with the truck. Other than that, great informative video.
Remember, looks and seating position is a preference. Since I have a back injury, I do prefer the higher ride height. Nathan, you laid a few egg about Dodge and Chev not having telescopic steering wheels but you didn't seem to mind the steering location on the Ford unless you still had bikinis on your mind :)
I'm a Toyota trucks guy from southeast Texas. I had a 2008 Tundra and now I have a 2014 Tundra (same as the 08 only looks changed and minor changes). I wanted to see what the hype is all about on the 2015 F150 so I went yesterday for a very long test drive and "look see". Good grief that truck is amazing. I drove the coyote, I'm not an ecoboost fan. The 5.0 is very quick! Only downside is the price of the truck,...they are asking way to much for a 1/2 ton. It's at the top of my list when my lease expires on my Tundra, hopefully the price goes down.
Thamac15. I lease my trucks too. I had a 2012 F150 lariat and went into check on a new one and the salesman was unsure of the pricing on the 15's (in October when I looked) so I decided to lease a 2014 Fx4. I'm kinda glad I did because the 15 prices are pretty damn high. I haven't test drove the new F150 probably best I don't from what I'm hearing it seems like it's a very nice truck
I just hate the 3.5L ecoboost. The ecoboost only gets 18/22 mpg with the 3.5L v6, while the 6.2 gets 16/20 mpg. Seriously? Why would I want a v6 when I can get a big old classic v8 that only has 2 less mpg? Especially at today's fuel prices.
***** I agree. I'm not an ecoboost fan one bit.
*****. The 6.2 is no longer in play. The only v-8 you can get is the 5.0 coyote. I think they bumped the horse power to 380ish and the truck weighs 600 plus pounds less so it should still be a great choice.
*****. The EB does have some issues and the long term won't be known for years. I've had two and actually like them a lot. The fastest and best towing pickup I've ever had. I lease them for 2-3 years so I don't worry about the long term dependability.
Haha they said the Ram was a better overall truck when the ford rep wasn't riding with them if you listen carefully.
Hey TFL just FYI the Silverado has a telescoping steering wheel as an option. That truck just, obviously, wasn't equipped with it. I have a 2015.5 3500HD and it has a telescoping steering wheel.
Never thought I'd say this, but I do really like the Ram (I'm generally not a Chrysler fan). Had one as a loaner for a week and, even though I haven't driven a new Chevy or newer Ford yet, I was really impressed by it. My only issue with the new ones is that dainty rotary shifter. Save those for German sedans, they just don't belong in trucks if you ask me.
Yes, GM does offer a telescoping steering wheel. You have to look behind the turn signal stalk and look for both levers. One to tilt and one to telescope. My 2014 Silverado LTZ/Z71 has this feature.
You guys should run the 2015 F150 Ecoboost vs the 2015 Chevy Silverado 6.2 because the 2015 Silverado has a new 8 speed transmisson. the one you previously tested had a 6 speed so it would be nice to see if the extra gears help the truck tow any better.
You guys should do a long haul test - like 500 miles + on different elevations. That would be a really good thorough review.
No hills in Texas?
Not like Colorado, no, but we have a few. I noticed you turned north on Hwy 16 towards Bandera. If you keep going that direction, you will actually hit some legitimate switchbacks. That is one of the nicer scenic drives in the Hill Country.
It looks like to me honestly there in Bandera town
I like the looks of the interior of the Chevy best. I also like the ideal of cylinder deactivation. To me that makes sense.
You know fords the best when their 3.5 liter eco boost engine can outpower 6.2 liters and 5.7 liters
matthew christian even though they dont
Bull shit
haaaaiii
matthew christian two words twin turbo
matthew christian Ford's 5.0 is the worst of the V8s. Ford isn't going for better, just different. The TT v6 had pros and cons.
Hey Roman - The Ram has cylinder de-activation too. They call it MDS (multiple displacement system).
They need to learn their product first. The 6.2L V8 is always paired with an 8 speed first off. And I'd like to see how the V6 hold up after 60-70k miles after warranty ends
id assume pretty good, as it weighs more then the 5.0 v8 (so it has beefy internals) with forged rods from the factory.
Jessica Linhart my father owns the 3.5 liter in his Ford Flex and it is at 75000 miles, without any problems! I highly recommend this engine.
This is a 6 year old video. My son has a 16. The fuel economy is outstanding when not towing! I still drive an 05fx4 with a 5.4 and tuner. Mine has 276000 on it, and I still pull a 6000lb camper. But when I do decide to replace it I be looking for a 3.5 ecoboost! Sell the fx4 and expedition!
Give me the pushrod V8. It's more efficient and more reliable in the long run.
farmerallis says who? More registered F-series on rd over 250k mis than any other trucks. Them high tech Ecoboost motors been in production since 2011 now..8yrs! U think it ain't reliable!? Haha Haha.
glad to see these guys know what they are talking about
Ram may be having a hard time getting you that EcoDiesel because they are selling almost straight off the transporter. Maybe with the increase in production they can actually free one up.
I think Ram hasn't supplied an EcoDiesel yet because it can't match the 5.7L Hemi's tow and payload capacity
(www.ramtrucks.com/en/towing_guide/). Configure for CrewCab, EcoDiesel, 4x4 and capacities are 1,233lbs max payload and 8750lbs max towing. That is not enough for our Travel Trailer with passengers (payload) and wouldn't be enough for their 10,000lb Ike Gauntlet test and pushing it for their 8k version.
1guyin10 yeah, im sure thats the reason /facepalm
nice try buddy
*****
That's actually the reason! They even mentioned that in the video.
I would imagine that almost every EcoDiesel they are making right now is a crew cab that is loaded to the gills. That wouldn't be the best one to put into a towing demonstration. The top of the line trim levels give up a lot of payload regardless of what engine you get with them.
Finally! I couldn't wait to see this video since the preview of it in the last video you guys made,
That 3.5 sounds like a stock lancer
Man I cant believe you guys were in Pipe Creek/Bandera Tx area, I saw this truck and trailer and never realized you guys were in it. Awesome to see this in person
These guys are ford fan boys drove all three the ram kicks ass.
I worked as a mechanic and a valet for 6 years. All three trucks are pretty bad ass. Each has something over the other.
I have owned a ram 2006 for my first truck. the 5.7 sounded sweet....then I bought a ford and I loved it more. just pulled more, better looks, and faster. it was a 2005
Eric s excuses excuses. Ram is ok. I stand behind ALL big3 American trucks best in 🌎 and you should too but there can only be 1 winner.
Hunter Deel i agree!
btw, Texas has a whole section of the state, just called "The Hill Country" with terrifying roads that are extremely narrow on steep grades with many casualties... YES Texas has many hills.
Ford should make a eco boost v8.
dave0z96 wouldn’t be much eco to it then.
That would be pointless
So just a boost v8
I have the 2020 3.5 ecoboost if they made a ecoboost v8 no one would be able to out pull ford oh yeah they can't now lol
It’s called the powerstroke
Nathan it does have a telescopic steering wheel. The lever is on the dashboard the left of the steering column.
$67,000 for that ford??? What!!! My $32,000 car has a better interior!!! Look like cheap plastic!! I'll take the RAM or Chevy any day!
I like how the ram has an 8 speed transmission , can't go wrong with any of these trucks tho!.
Ram give TFL the diesel 1500!!! I wanna see a towing review.
Although being able to completely vary both damping and spring rates would be ideal from a tuning standpoint being able to vary the spring rate even with fixed damping, can greatly effect the dynamics of the vehicle. Even more so the ability to do so relative to an increase or decrease in over all mass of the vehicle(I.e. Loaded truck vs unloaded). This ability to vary the spring rate as with the air suspension would make it so that the truck can maintain a relatively constant ride quality.Math doesn't lie. In simple words, ford engineer doesn't want to admit that they are behind the ball. Air suspension is superior for ride quality. That being said, I much prefer a conventional spring and damper set up in a truck. It's a truck, you can sacrifice some ride quality for reliability. Buy an suv if you want a cushy ride.
Ram has MDS which turns off 4cyl when 8cyl aren't needed. You guys need to get your facts straight.
but they were towing with it so the truck computer or MDS shouldn't use 4cylneders only otherwise ram trucks are capable .
mohammadkwt So the Chevy shouldn't disable 4cyl either when in tow/haul mode. My comment was directed to the fact that they said the Chevy was the only one that disabled 4cyl to save gas.
So I guess, Ford was the smartest with a V6 + EcoBoost they don't loose power and they boost a V8 engine power when ever they want!! What can be cooler than that?
I think ford is the best out of these company's because of its power to engine size. and it's more efficient than the others even tho gas prices are bowl doesn't mean they can't go back up
Chevy and gmc are the best
2015 1500 Silverado 6.2L with 8Speed is the way to go for towing. Stays in V4 in the City and when towing it tows. Also smoothest ride out of the full size trucks
Sixty effing grand for a pickup truck? They've gone off the deep end...
I really like what you guys did with the camera on the trailer, good review(s),
At 7:37 the RAM has the cylinder deactivation....
Nice tuba
Pulling a 9,000 lb trailer the truck should be in tow/haul mode which deactivates the MDS and gets rid of over drive. If the MDS kicked in while towing that trailer they're driving it wrong.
02 5.4 crew cab fx4 f150. Keyed with 33's since forever. Just hit 186k. Bought new and been driving the shit out of it ever since. Hauling boat , 30 hp tractor , toys , etc. hit occasional mud hole, purposely go sideways whenever it rains. Mileage hasn't changed in 12 years. 14 hwy, 12 pulling bass boat to lake through the hills (80 miles 1 way) changed plugs and had trans. fluid changed at 105k. Replaced starter around 130k, alternator around 175k, 1 front wheel bearing replaced around 120k. 3 driveway repairs in 12 years? -yes please. Brakes oil changes etc. Ambulance , tow truck, company service truck- usually ford and they are the more expensive to buy for the company. Stop believing what daddy said about something being the best, do some unbiased research , and let it go......
People need to stop trolling please oh its a ford so it sucks that's not true most trucks theses days are really good it depends how u treat them as well
Yeah we're at the point now where it barely matters what you purchase. It's those little things that used to be inconsequential that can sway buyers these days. You might like the positioning of a particular knob or switch, or your tailbone doesn't feel as good in one seat vs another. One dealer might offer a sweeter financing package. That kind of stuff. It's not about making it up the hill anymore.
dchawk81 Okay but for real, that shift wheel thing in the Ram bothers me. Maybe its because I drive a manual and like to have an actual lever but I wouldn't want a little wheel to change gears....not that that should be a deal breaker. If that's the only thing a person doesn't like about the Ram then I'd say Dodge did pretty good. Personally, I'll stick to the Ford.
Nathan was right, Lariat is a trim for Ford. The one Roman is thinking of is Laramie.
All phenomenal machines in their own right. Another great video TFL!!
Ford rules truck, best power efficiency, best looks, best everything, Ford is clearly the winner, especially now with the new gen product, the other two, forget it.
The ford platinum is the best looking truck out there
To me the Ram roar better, air suspension more desirable option,
V8 hemi or the v8 chevy would last longer than the eco faux, eco faux sound, eco light aluminum, eco bad mpg .....
While I appreciate everyone's opinion, I can't for any reason understand why anyone wants a shifter between the two captain chairs. I at least understand the column shifter, as it's easier to grab, but why would you want to give up space for cup holders, a bin, larger storage area, or anything else for a giant handle that you will use twice a trip...drive, park. Honestly, I think that gear selection should be about the size of radio dial. I sure use my volume control, and HVAC controls (and cup holders!) a lot more than I'm shifting into drive or park.
RAM read your comment.
My dads 6.2 L Chevy is bad to the bone
Cool story.
Ford f150 3.5 v6 eco boost with 3.55 ratio and with max tow out performs any v8 with towing power and gas mileage period.
typical dodge all looks and no go
I had the opportunity to run all versions of this truck today in a testing environment. I did however compare it to the RAM as a benchmark. Modern lighting (interior/exterior), 360 camera views, the most functional tailgate in the business and beautiful styling overall. The ECOBOOST engines perform beautifully with very little turbo lag. That aside, the suspension is cushy and comfortable but dicey when under load. Steering had a vague feel and I didn't seem connected to the road. They have a 360 degree camera, they shouldn't. I couldn't risk my hard earned dollars on the 2015 F-150. First to the aluminum alloy body but it's gonna be a hard road for a 1.6 billion dollar investment. I'm assuming this will be remedied by a hefty sticker price on the premium models.
62K?????!!!! thats way too much!!!!
Then dont get the top of the line truck
xl , xlt , FX4 or lariat have a lower pricing than platinum model .
*****
yes this king ranch had extra packages ( including FX4 package ) in it so had reached 62K .
so I can buy a Mercedes a really good one for the same price! just dont think a truck is worth that much... I own a 2014 silverado ltz cost me like $40K and thats the most id paid for one!
Sukhraj Dhillon
will luxury require more payment , a truck is build for work but no problem to add luxury to it , it won't do the job very will done like platinum or king ranch it's like show-off & walk around truck than work but if you want good luxury & do the job done get f-150 lariat model & probably more expensive than the ltz .
I liked that OBS ford in the background in the beginning of the video
I'm in Saudi Arabia and it costs $8 to fill the Chevy. So buying a V6 truck is not an option.
3BoOoDTV $8 per gallon? Per Liter? Or a full tank? If it's the later then you are out of your mind to say it's expensive. Again if it is indeed true it takes you $8 to fill up I could only wish that's what I was paying.
8$ for full tank
It takes on average right now $25 to fill up from half a tank on my 09 F150.
I'll take $8 for a full tank any day.
3BoOoDTV Its true some middle east countries set the price of gasoline well below a dollar!
3BoOoDTV lucky you. Takes me $170 for a full tank
I hope I don't get a lot of rude comments, but I now like the Ram better. I used to like Fords, but right around 2006 or 2007 I began to prefer the Ram and liked it since.
15 seconds in and I already know its gonna be biased towards ford
The Silverado actually DOES have a telescoping steering wheel. It's the other lever beside the tilt control. Silly.
I'm a ford guy wouldnt buy a v-6! How bout this idea the ecoboost 5.0 v-8. what you all thing of this comment an let me know.
Add a whipple supercharger to a 5.0. I think a dealership in ohio sells an 5.0 f150 with a whipple supercharger. The thing makes 750hp and comes with a warranty.
www.roadandtrack.com/car-culture/buying-maintenance/a26184349/2019-ford-f-150-supercharged-lebanon-ford/
Ya'll should get the 6.4L Hemi in a Ram 2500 with the Chevy and Ford 2500's.
Which front grill looks worst the new Tundra or F150?
tundra need to change their C channel frame to boxed frame , hadn't they ? then we can talk about the grills .
mohammadkwt thats right numbers dont lie ford is the best dodge or chevy cant hold a candle to use . Ford dominates the competition
I thought this was the tundra for a little bit O.o
mohammadkwt
Bigger, heavier duty trucks, even the heavier duty trucks from Ford and Dodge use open frames. Believe it or not, C-channel frames actually have more advantages.
*****
ram heavy duty trucks use fully boxed frames but only ford C channel ones on their super duty & sure it have advantages ( thicker & capable to allow the truck to tow more & payload more ) but also disadvantages like do a twist challenge on them you know what gonna happen so that's why ford super duty trucks & going fully boxed frames in 2016 .
When making this mashup TFL had to interrupt the shooting twice as the Chevy got recalled twice during those few hours.
#generalmotorsrecall #recall #generalmotors #governmentmotors #gm
@ 15:48 is the worst sounding exhaust I have ever heard on a truck, car or moped!!
Carl Rimmer probably cause it's a v6 dumbass
Actually, Roman was wrong and Nathan was right when he said Lariat. The Ram is not a Lariat, Roman, it's a Laramie. Ford has a trim level called Lariat just under the King Ranch.
Hmm....I like my 66 chevy 1/2 ton and my 77 chevy 3/4 ton. I can work on them. PARTS aren't super expensive. THEY BOTH are made with AMERICAN iron. My 66 1/2 ton can tow 10,000 pounds. I'm happy. lol. Oh wait....Screw the gas mileage though. lol ;)
At the end of the day, your pickups are far cheaper to operate than anything new. I like easy to work on.
kevin122759 I hear ya...I like older trucks from the 70's or before just for the fact that I can easily work on then myself...and a wrecking yard is always handy with good used parts.
Nate Karg Yeah...Mileage is the only bad thing about an older rig....but..when it comes to strength and durability....they sure have it.
I have a 1/2 ton 70 cst/10 and you have all the engine room in the world and ford can barely pack a 3.5 when I have a 350 V8 and you don’t have to have some kind of security torx socket either
Were they running premium in the 6.2L GM? I find ours pulls so much better when running premium per the manual when pulling our 23' Tige Z3. Also the Chev does come with telescopic column. I know ours came with it.
Totally biased video. Wanted real opinions because I'm actually looking for a truck. Thumbs down.
Next year's game changer is a truck with a base price of under $15000.
No infotainment, keyless entry or heated seats. A workhorse you can hose down inside & out without creating shorts; basic & durable like a mid 80's Hilux.
Not everybody needs a truck that hauls 10,000 lbs, right?
why didnt you guys compare the toyota tundra as well?
The "big three"
Please be so kind and listen to the very first thing that Roman says.
I must of missed that part. sorry.
They would have but the Tundra ran out of gas twice on the way to the testing location with its 10 mpg fuel economy haha
Because they junk
I don't understand why some of you complain about vehicle reviews. Maybe they are partial to Ford because of what Ford has been doing in the last couple of years. You know, it's funny that people are die hard one particular brand anymore. They are ALL built so well. I've owned a wide variety of vehicles through the years and all have treated me pretty well. Let's face it, there are no distinct winners anymore. It just boils down to personal preference. For trucks I like the Ram. Why?? Not for towing, not because I can get air ride suspension but because they look and sound awesome, plus, they are cheaper than a Ford or Chevy. Probably why 90% of us actually buy a vehicle anymore. For sports cars I like the Camaro SS. For an everyday driver I buy Toyota's. And, just so I can get this off my chest.. If you buy a $50,000+ vehicle to actually WORK out of... you need to be kicked in the sack
This new f-150 is outstanding!! I am going to be trading my 2014 sierra slt for a king ranch or platinum 5.0, 385 horse power now and I think 400lbs of torque!! Plus 700llbs light, the thing goes. There is no way that they won`t win motor trend truck of the year!! If they do pick like gm or ram again that would be a plate of BS.
***** Oh I am stupid? How? For liking the best truck. Well if liking the longest lasting, best selling for 48 years, and strongest truck is being stupid well yeah I guess I am.
You don't have a Sierra your a dipshit ford fan boy
***** I had one but it was a peace of shit so yeah. Suck it up princess. I said what I said.
And on the comment below you said you have a 2015 king ranch 5.0 you are the biggest dumbass
***** So that`s because I do. I traded the 14 sierra in for a 15 f-150 king ranch 5L. Simple as that. You may say that I can't, well I did. I lost money, yes, but was it worth it, yes. Because I'm going to keep that truck for awhile.
another fine review if only a taste of what's down the road. One thing about this video that bothers me is the lack of volume when you guys have someone in the back seat. Probably wouldn't be too bad if I wore headphones ...but that's just not happening here.
Step 1. Buy a RAM 2500 6.7 Cummins
Step 2. Never watch this channel again
😂😂
+Joe evans step 3: don't buy a fiat piece of shit buy a GM
+chris driscoll Yeah because they're so much better... lol
+GTOAviator you mean a fiat?!!
+alvie2 You're not going to give me the "silly old man won't buy anything owned by another company" routine are you?
The 6.2L is the best bet.
Those de-tuned LS3's are very good engines.
They are the best for a cam swap or supercharger.
not to mention they are world a lot of money.
If you crash of something the 6.2L is easily worth $6K alone.
EXACTLY!!
Yea especially when it reaches Max Torque at 4200 and you have to Rev your Ass Off to get it up a Hill.
EscapeforMankind how is 4000rpm a lot lol.
They last almost 2x as long compared to a shitty eco boost.
Sanic If you like it Cheap & Simple then get a Chevy Gas Sucker, Sucker.
EscapeforMankind another LS hater I see.
Well keep telling ur self that, as the LS series find their way into even more Fords.
The eco boost is the worst of the 3 motors
What makes you say that?
EscapeforMankind Because I've read many reports about the eco boost the only people that like it are mechanic's because they make money off of it and alot

2012 Ford F-150 Lariat 4x4 EcoBoost Verdict
Saying Goodbye to a Terrific Truck
One of the concerns with the turbocharged engine was reliability. For the year we had the truck, we had no problems.

GM does have a telescoping steering wheel available, apparently just not on the truck you were testing.
no replacement for displacement...chevy all day
Looks like the post office in Pipe Creek TX, very cool my parents live out there.
Ford and their stupid ass exhaust note enhancement, how about not wasting time and resources on that crap and discount the price of your overpriced lineup!?
that's a king ranch model check the websites for f-150 12 truck lineup .
If you like Noise then make Noise Dipshit, you're not stupid are you?
Revving the engine for your buddies, you thinking your truck sounds V8 tough, your buddies thinking "what the hell is revving a 4banger for.
1.Chevy
2.Ram
3.Ford
Ford sucks
Incorrect if you looks at the data. your list is: 1. Bailed out 2. Fiat 3.Blue Oval
So wait how is chevy 1 when it had the most recalls for 2014? Ram is ok, but then the ford is actually number 1. Well because they have the strongest truck, best selling truck, and they are not built in Mexico.
Kyle Fitzgerald You guys with the recall man get over its not a bad thing that they are standing behind their products instead of sweeping the problem under the rug like ford has done with the ecobust....
matthebest018 So It sucks when you have to take vehicles off work and send them in to get what ever done. Yeah the ecoboost I would never buy one so what ever I have a 15 king ranch 5.0 best motor ever.
Kyle Fitzgerald I agree the 5.0 is a great motor but i would take the 6.2l over it anyway for simplicity and how easy it is to get more power out of. And as for the recall they are usually very minor and most people get them done when they get their oil change anyways.
Good ol pipecreek tx. I would love to offroad there. Hwy 16 and f.m 1283
Dodge is stupid..
they should have made a twin turbo 5.7 hemi, would put Ford and GM on the ropes
AND., had DODGE made a REAL crew cab back in 1994, combined with the Cummins, would have put Ford out of the truck business.. WHy did Dodge wait until 2009 to make an actual crew cab?
Dodge is the best 1500/2500/3500 best of all
Because dodge didn't understand turbos before they got bough by fiat
Anarion Cooper do you remember all the turbo cars from chrysler corp in the mid eighties????
Dodge can't compete with Chevy and Ford because Dodge doesn't know how to build a decent transmission.
i don't drive a dodge. dodge is junk. I actually drive a chevy and work at a ford dealership lol.
TFL you are Doing a Hell of an Awesome Job
I really Enjoy watching these Videos :)
Please ford paid your bill for this crap. In one video you had the ford 0-60 at 6.99 and the chevy at 7.3. Funny i got my stock 6.2 chevy at 5.8. Huh. You're a joke
Did you run the 0-60 mph at a mile above sea level where the NA engine makes 17% less power?
The Fast Lane Truck don't matter ford guy. Your reviews favor fords. Anyways people watch cars.com light duty V8 challenge if you want to see real testing and results.
Jay forgot to mention he got his Chevy at 5.8 being towed on a trailer by a PowerStoke!
Jay Burke
Up and down youtube where they test all these trucks the Ecoboost always comes out on top. People like to disregard 6 cyl engine but think back to the mid 1980s when the Buick Grand National was doing this same thing to V8s and that motor wasn't nearly as sophisticated as the EB engine.
Jay Burke so now atmospheric conditions don't matter? Geez. A physics lesson would do you good
This is coming from a person who would never ever own an ecoboost anything. What TFL truck said makes sense. Don't sound sound butthurt because it wasn't as fast in a certain condition
Welcome to the central Texas hill country boys. You didn't time but west on I10 out of San Antonio gives you plenty of grades.
$62,000 for a shitty F-150.This is the STUPIDEST test that's not a test!
dumb ass its top of the line dumbass
Pay 10 grand less and you can have a REAL engine under your hood. Why is ford STILL trying to sell me their v6 turbo crap. This aint a GTR, this aint a cadillac sedan, this is a TRUCK. The only time turbos belong in a truck if its a drift truck or if its a diesel. Ford really needs to stop
+Frank Magana did you know that the new 2.7 Ecoboost is made of the same material the Ford 6.7 diesel is made of??

Or build a 383 for an older chevy and have much more power than any of those.
Haha, y'all were actually on the foothills of the Texas Hill Country.
Ford sucks chevys the best
Well that wasn't biased at all.
so chevy trucks need corvette engine to do something ?
mohammadkwt
Ford needs a twin turbo v6 to do something?
AMP417
& it have the same power as the 5.0 & same towing capacity if you didn't know so there's no big difference besides ford & dodge are kings of towing & payload in the past , now & in the future with their V8 engines so V6 with turbos aren't big a thing unlike chevy they just stepped their game to tow more with a 6.2 & keep the 5.3 same as it was .
There all good they have pros and cons get your head out your ass
Never get why people have to argue about what truck is the best... Why not just choose the one you like the most and get over it.
I'm very very interested in the Ram with ECOdiesel going up the Ike!!!!
Might not sound like a V8 but gotta keep in mind that the turbos make the engine sound less aggressive and it's always gonna be like that in any car or truck that has a turbo or like the f-150, twin turbos !
For the record, guys... The GM's have a telescoping column available as a $100 stand-alone option.
