Powernation: "we wanna do the responsible thing and make this thing emissions legal"
I mean, one can simultaneously love power and want breathable air. There's tradeoffs to everything. Personally I think it's fine to like big trucks, powerful fossil fuel engines, electric cars, and everything in between + wanting to take reasonable steps to prevent excess pollution. I like to go outside. ...
@@joshsactiveadventures5611 lol a diesel isn’t too bad compared to other things
They have to, or the EPA will fine them. They’ve been going after RUclipsrs that modify Diesels and remove exhaust components.
@@randysretired2020 and rightly so. Every state needs to have emissions checked every year in order to register your car or truck. No one wants to breath that crap.
@@dcast777 Not even the communist paradise of California does it every year. It’s every other year.
“Happy to install” 😂
The project took a hard “left” turn lol
U turn more 😂😂
Green new deal. LMAO
Translation, we don’t want the epa knockin on our door lol
@@jsimsgt96 fuk the EPA
@@jsimsgt96 I noticed on the first video at the end of assembly they had a non EGR Y bridge bolted to the engine
I bet the Diesel Sellerz lawsuit had something to do with keeping the emissions on this truck.
Yeah you bet it is behind the camera probably just block off that egr crap🤣
@@mckadehicks6581 really? I actually didn't know that, guess you learn a new thing every day
@@mckadehicks6581 I’m sorry dude but that’s simply not true. Lol. The urea breaks the NoX down into oxygen, nitrogen, and C02
Sorry but it’s a bold face lie to we are happy to reinstall egr and go to a bolt on turbo instead of a compound set up🤣
The build definitely took a hard left when they said all the emissions components will remain.
As a former workmate of mine Tyrone used to say, Muffler work is exhausting but the rewards are manifold
That's why I bought a 2003 Chevy 2500HD 4wd 4 door short bed with the LB7 Durumax diesel. It has no EGR, no DPF, no DOC, with my Edge Jammer Exhaust System it just 4" stainless steel tube and a straight thru muffler and I still pass emmissions. Oh and she sounds great too!
i just enjoy the simplicity of my old school common rail cummins, no egr or dpf bullshit that loves the cause problems
If I ever get a diesel and stay in a non-emissions state, that egr delete and cat delete is gonna be a definite.
Man who runs behind car gets exhausted, man who runs in front of car gets tired
The cut out and mufflers sounded the same lol 😆
I thought Flowmaster went out of fashion in like 2002. Corsa, Borla, Magnaflow all seem more popular now.
Yea they used the same clip wtf...
Flowmaster never did they have aggressive mufflers I got a super 40 on my truck with no cats and I am happy with it maybe go for a super 44 or super 10
Cause of the resonators
Major BUMMER that the smog police ruined your build.
Be happy you don't live in Europe. Their emissions are definitely stricter. Or go live in China. Say Shanghai and see what life is like without emissions controls. You can actually see the air you breathe.
@@bmstylee I agree that some emmisions regulations a re nesecary so we don't end up like china, but i think the majority of those regulations should be on big businices and corporations that are profiting from enviornmental damage. But that said, companies are the ones who realy control the country and they would rather scapegoat the common man so people forget about what they are doing.
@@flyguyphil7247 I'm a tree hugger and agree. All my trucks and sports cars had legal emissions. Still, a clean cruise ship or tanker would do so much more. Shift the cost to corps that can afford to buy legislation, not us little guys.
@@FirstLast-we8cb exactly
Funny, producers didn’t want that EPA smoke! Hence the (hard left turn)! Still badass!
Lol EPA got to you.
"PowerNation"....1000HP capable, cool truck...proceeds to choke the life out of the engine. We're still cool right? We don't need "That Much Power" right daddy(EPA)? Thanks for the permission to do what I want to my own property! Do I have permission to take a dump? It's turtle-heading really bad...
And all that work painting parts, detailing everything, only to bury it all underneath rusty crap.
It’s not just trucks though. Have you ever tried to build your own home on your own property? Big daddy government doesn’t want us doing anything without their oversight. Even when trump was in office, he did nothing to remove epa regulations so it’s not a republican vs democrats situation, it’s much deeper than that
All that heat on top, cooking those wires, those exhaust running next to the heads, its like the engineers design problems that limit the life of a motor to make the buyer buy another engineered failure.
Japanese don't have skills to build good diesel engines.
@@basshead. they've been building them for a long time.
And by the way they are, and always have been built in Lorraine Ohio.

oh sweet an lml build. 1 minute into the video "we are keeping the emissions intact on this truck". Pause video, write comment, click on different video.
You're so cool 😐
I’m lowkey happy that there posting new stuff now and doing RUclips promotion
They're*
@@duckwacker8720 RIGHT! If an "adult" can't spell he should just remain silent.
That exhaust is gonna plug up so fast😂
It’s about god damn time, I’m here for the diesel stuff, let’s keep it in this lane.
Hopefully they'll make a full build video like they have been
Is it me or is that Flowmaster thing look crude as hell? Like something you would bubba up after a 12 pack.
UGLY is the word! Needs ceramic coating.
@@jeffh5664 I don't think any amount of ceramic coating will help that thing.
Right when the emissions went on I was like nah imaa head out 😂
Funny when I work on my trucks I'm never as clean when I'm done aa you guys seem to be
Clean parts make it easier.
That Duramax looks like the EPA blew chunks in the valley. "Dogs Breakfast" seems Appropriate. No thanks 12v Cummins with a P pump or don't bother.
You ran the what? The horness?
4:14 okay LT, you can see yourself out
@5:26 HAPPY TO INSTALL IT!?? 🤣🤣 poor guys! 🤬 the EPA!
Talk about an overbuild of the bottom end, just to leave it emissions compliant.
Can’t install the cool stuff because your video Taping yourself breaking the law.
EGR systems kill Diesel engine
Did the eco friendly build change happen because of the Fed cracking down? 🤔
Stupid EPA has killed the diesel engine platform
Then run it without. No one is stopping you.
@@bmstylee You're an idiot. Thankfully most people do.
Emissions or 1000hp? You guys are the only ones who picked emissions 😂
Screw emissions from “let’s make crazy power” to “eh we will half ass it” ride my truck with no emissions on the road sometimes you just gotta take the leap
Not only do you have to watch a stupid annoying commercial but now you have watch two of them in a row.
Engineers have a constant battle with the bean counters who often demand that a beautifully designed engine be butchered so that it can save a few cents in production and not last as long as it possibly could.
EGR systems are not just the demon child of the EPA but the CPA also!
If the exhaust pressure is high enough it would be far better to take the exhaust gasses from after the DPF run them through and air based heat exchanger and then into the intake system. Failed water based heat exchangers often fail and destroy the engine by pumping water into the intake.
If you see a lot of steam and other signs of a blown head gasket check the EGR first!
Epa entered the chat
Please I watch all your episodes sick
Why didn't you replace the water pump? It's done 1000,000 miles too, especially since a more powerful engine will impose more cooling load
Nice LT ! Incase some people didn’t know LT has his own RUclips channel now check it out !!!!
geez thats a monster engine
what happened to the muscle truck competition? I love the SRT 10
The sissy v6 never stood a chance. It basically makes the same power as the V10 does stock. Plus it looked better than the ricer look Cajun man did to it. Including removing crash structure to run tires that won't fit.
Use inconel bolts on the turbo, or A286 stainless
Insert r.d.j. eye rolling meme.
Bait and switch!
That's a wonderful video class.
Went from shooting for 1k HP to 800hp when they had to put the garbage on the truck
Where is part 1 of this? You guys have awesome projects, but it's hard to find all of the episodes pertaining to a vehicle.
Hmm I really wonder why they kept the emissions :/
Would it have killed you guys to paint Everything?
EGR, DEF, Emissions....you can find none of this on a real truck. You're lucky if you find a muffler on it.
Kinda regret watching part 2 of this build 🫣
This things for sale by me for 41k. Cool truck.
you are not happy to install it. you are being forced... lol
Emissions legal is the dumbest thing I’ve ever... keeping the cp4? I stand corrected.
12:25 allowed to change. Aka the epa put a stop to our fun
“Emissions legal” RIIGHHTTT !!!! (;
Way to go guys emissions needs to stay, let’s think of the future of our kids.
LTs shoes prove a lot. Just sayin. Nerddddd
I’m so bummed for you guys we all know that isn’t the way you wanted to go but I’m not sure why u think u can’t make a compound kit emissions compliant, it is done all the time and the people u bought the 67 g2 specialize in that . Either way that truck is going to be unreal and if nick from calibrated power tunes it u will be so close to your goal anyway. I’m a bit confused with what u changed but I see that your y bridge obviously changed I hope u didn’t get rid of the injectors, u kept the dual fueler. shit u are running the dpf and egr letter eat to the level u want and just tell people replacement of emissions equipment is maintenance now u want to play u got to pay
where can i see it in tv?
I just drive an lb7, non of that garbage in sight
Same here, 2003 with an LB7, no EGR or exhaust crap just a 4" stainless steel turbo back exhaust with a straight thru muffler and I still pass emmissions test just fine!
Should have put a Borla on that Ram.
Are these old reruns or are they recent?
This is recent. Notice the fake Cajun guy.
Not trying to instigate or sound dumb, I just don’t understand why you wouldn’t want to use anti seize on bolts that see super high temps. Anyone have a good reason why they wouldn’t? Again not trying to pick a fight just want to know.
Anti seize does exactly that, the opposite of Loctite. Heat cycling causes expansion/contraction, which in turn causes the bolts to slowly back out. Turns in to exhaust leaks and creates problems. The other side of the argument would rather deal with that than snap bolts off when trying to take them out.
Have you guys tested the power difference between EGR + DPF and without them?
Yes, on a 3rd gen cummins, deleted all the emissions and tuned it, did some small injectors and a 67mm turbo, and a 5 inch exhaust from the turbo back made 550 hp and got 4 mpg better
@@coltertietjen6300 nice 🔥
They could have at least put a patina on the modified EGR equipment.
What harmonic balancer is that?
If you plan on giving it 800hp you better at least replace the tierods, they are pathetic on those trucks! I put some huge Kryptonite tierods on mine, of course I'm running 37s even still the tierods on them aren't even fit for stock tires!
I feel like you guys got told behind the scenes to put the emission stuff back on....however. Good luck getting that truck to run right with a modified engine. The emissions system is stupid particular on those trucks. Computer sees anything off and it goes into limp mode. And 2011s are the WORST. Even when they are working perfect and "fixed" after something goes wrong, you need some witchcraft to get the thing out of reduced speed mode.
You lost me at keeping it emissions compliant , atleast the long block was cool 😂
I guess you guys how to do it but it’s sad that you guys have to put that engine through emissions with such nice parts in it
Can this run on both battery or fuel?
It can't. The 2nd battery is useful for high draw accessories. Lights, winch, steroes.
That ram sounded exactly the same 🤦
EGR is useless on a diesel with the right tune and in use they turn your oil to oil with pumice
lets face it you didn't decide to take the emissions rough YOU WORE FORCED TO . the EPA id destroying the environment if you think about it the emissions equipment is lowering MPG outing more crap in the air
Be happy you live in the US. Look at places like London for example. They endorsed buying diesels then changed the laws for driving into the city that made things that were only a few years old subject to some of the highest taxes or congestion charges as they call it to simply enter London. And in all fairness VW's shenanigans don't help your cause. And heavy trucks and busses spew even more and have no emissions. So maybe they have a use.
WORE? Jesus Christ go back to school! Is that English you are trying to type?
Definitely would have used Copper Anti-seize, not silver due to higher temperature rating
You guys are doing a poor job on selling me that you’re happy about reinstalling all that emissions crap. But I guess if you want to keep your job you’ll do what they say.
That’s probably intentional.
@@commonmockery1074 absolutely
2016. rust repair would be the first hing I'd fix, if I bought
a truck from that year range. Don't piss and moan. If you live any where were deicer is used, you know god damn well the quarters are starting to rust through.
They live in Tennessee I don't think rust is a problem, they get snow like once a year!
If a 2016 is rusting already you didn't take care of it. My 17 Silverado looks the same as it did off the lot. And I live in the Cleveland snow belt so I see a lot of road salt.
I live in up north in Utah by the mountains there there's plenty of snow and salt and my 2003 Chevy 4 door short bed looks great and isn't showing the slightest signs of rust anywhere. Just don't neglect it and it'll be fine.
LT had a channel of his own that he was working on a cool project recently. But then all of a sudden it stopped. Anybody know what happened? I don't do any of social media things.
What you get a pickup Dodge 2500 ram 🐏 with a 6.7 Cummins diesel and try it out I am 30 years mechanic experience with diesel and also a car mechanic 2 it's a very excellent video nice keep up good work 👍👌🚛🚘🍰🥧 also take a coffee break☕🍻
This guy kills me, what the hell is a wiring horness??
Egr is the biggest issue with the duramax, cuts the life of the engine, restricts power, i deleted my 08 lmm and its like a brand new truck, i feel so bad for keeping it stock for so long, now its straight pipes and deleted,. Dont have to make the truck a “racing truck, mine has no black tunes or crazy hp mod, exhuast comes out clear, and hasnt over heated once. Dont skimp out of egr delete, unless you have a fleet of trucks.
Wasn’t this the Duramax that was supposed to make over 1000 hp
LmL stans for ?... 64mm turbo from Kodiak truck you should of bought from... or sponsored
LML is just the engine designation of the duramax for those years such as the LMM from before or L5P now.
how can "emissions intact" and "fun" be in the same sentence😫
What are the odds I could get the pictures you took. I have my 13 lml apart right now and am an idiot and didn’t take any pictures
@powernation
I'll stick with my 1988 non emission 7.3 ford also i don't live in a nanny state
Does full motor build and trans build should have sold that built engine and put another stock one in the truck and kept the transmission this is actually painful to watch
WTF is all that crap on that motor?? Just give me a simple cummins and take that new complicated S*(#T and sink it in the ocean!
