This thing is so tastefully modded . The aesthetics are the best I've seen on any VB. The only thing I'd do is paint the matte black bits on the front and rear bumper gloss black to match the bezels.

Very nice! I'm on the heels of buying a new 2023 I found in iced silver, but I'm not rushing the decision. My pockets are not deep enough to paint match right after purchase, but nice to see what one looks like when done. To be honest, I probably would not do anything to the car until the warranty runs out anyway.
The paint match looks so good. I have the magnetite metallic grey with just the fenders paint matched i want to do the rest though like yours it looks amazing man.

Paint match look great! I have seen the flares, but glad I got to see the side skirts on yours. I just ordered a 2024 TR.
Do you know what the body shop did as far as removing the texture prior to paint? Just sanded it smooth? I want to do the something similar, and want to know incase the shop needs some extra direction.
Correct, sanded, adhesion promoter, primer, paint.

The local paint shop charged how much for the fenders and all to paint match? Trying to see if it’s worth it or maybe something like paint matched from AFD or similar vendors
AFD would be cheaper for sure. I would have gone that route if available at the time.
Looks amazing! Did the body shop do all the paint matching? How much did that run you? I really love the look of the vb but I wish Subaru had paint matched the cladding. Great video!

@@Mhothanzero chance of an sti style wing. Odds are I’d build a dedicated track rat before putting any aggressive aero on this car. I like how subtle she looks as is, less attention from others on the road the better 🤣
@randomquickness OUR STYLE PERSPECTIVES ON THESE CARS IS THE SAME..MAYBE ITS BC WE ARE A LITTLE OLDER THAN THESE STI HIGH WING LOVERS LOLOLS. CLEAN OEM+ BUILD. MINE LOOKS SIMILAR BUT 23' IN BLACK AND OEM WHEELS WITH 20MM SPACERS BUT BESIDES THAT LOOKS SIMILAR(PAINTED BLACK MOLDINGS) UNTIL I GET MY TE37'S.
Did you get any clunking from your end links? Did Cygnus provide adjustable endlinks?
Yes, end links were included and I haven't had any clunking from them. After a few thousand miles one of my rear top nuts had worked its way loose but a few ugga duggas from the impact and it has been silent ever since.
Sad to hear but glad im not the only one, im at 13.5K and around 11K is when my seat started squeaking on the regular
Mine snapped and now it moves around.
Do you have any issues with your wheel and tire specs with being on coilovers? I have same specs and trying to find out if tires will rub
Slight rub in the back when compressing suspension but it’s just on plastic so not really hurting anything
Can i ask how much you were charged for paint matching? Seen some websites where they sell already paint matched fenders for arnd 700
If you only want the fenders that’s the move for sure. I paid a couple grand for the paintwork but i also did the rocker panels and bumpers.
For the Cobb Stage II, did you do any other changes to air flow beyond the cat back?
On the exhaust side, no. Check my earlier vid about stage 2 if you want more details about it.

How noticeable was it after you put in the sound deadening ?
It helped a little because I didn’t use much. If you take the inerior apart and line everything, you’ll get great results. For me I don’t want the extra weight so I just went for a mild improvement.
What are the wheel specs? Fitment looks about what I'm looking for.

btw, how's the paint holding up so far? Has Subaru done this paint job, aesthetically this car would have had a whole more positive acceptance from enthusiasts.
Some dealers do paint them for an extra charge. There are also aftermarket options now. Back when I bought mine they had just come out so I had to take it to a body shop to get them sanded smooth and painted. The paint has actually held up quite well though.

I want to go ham on this car and commit to it, but what IF Subaru releases a hyper performance WRX someday? (actual STI trim)
There’s a chance they could but my bet is on the next wrx/sti being some form of hybrid or electric. It’s only a matter of time before vendors have complete sti trans swaps readily available.

It’s the extended arm rest from subaru.
I want one also. It's very noticeable. About $210 comes on oem stitch or suede option from Subaru. Here's part#SKU J2010VC000

Thousands of dollars spent to paint what subaru should've painted to begin with at no extra cost. And I say this as a VB owner!

i love the painted cladding, that's my biggest complaint with these new wrx's is all the plastic
The controversy isn't his coilovers. They are just rebranded fortunes which they're also fine nobody really cares about that part. You don't have a bad interaction because you bought something from him. The controversy comes from the fact that he's the biggest asshole in any car community supply that I have ever experienced or talked to. I didn't buy anything from him so he had no reason to be nice to me and he makes damn sure that the next person knows that. He will do things like make fake accounts to leave reviews and he has done that so many times he also makes fake accounts to go to subreddits and talk shit. You also harass you day in day out if you get on this shit list which is usually his own fault. I posted this multiple times when it comes up on Facebook but when he got on me he basically spent like 6 hours straight messaging me directly on Facebook commenting on post that I would make in other groups like you would actually follow me around harass me talk shit about me My daughter he would make fun of my hair he would make fun of my channel he would make fun of just anything that he could because I said to him that he shouldn't be bad shaming people if they want to do something on their car That's how it was like the stupidest thing to. But there are Facebook groups that subreddits dedicated to the things that have happened to him or things that he's done so I'm glad that you're experience has been okay but I'm sure Jeffrey Dahmer had at least a few good interactions around his town before he messed up. 🤷♂️
