It’s the best one I don’t even have to smell the others lol jk but bad thing it’s it’s not very easily affordable for the everyday working man I’ve wanted a bottle for a few years now but as a dad with two kids I can’t afford 400
I,ve been wearing Creed since 2000, before anyone I knew had ever heard of it (WAY before Aventus was released) my first was: “Milleseme Tuberose Indiana” omg so complex and it evolved for hours. I’m very sad that Creed got sold. I hope the fragrances stay exquisite. A Creed always smells classy & makes me feel well groomed.
Lucky enough to collect the rarer Creeds back in mid-2000s along with the original TF's... imo all the best have been discontinued, with exception of Royal oud and GIT but both have been sadly reformulated and lost a step. My top 12 and own: 12, Bayrhum vetiver / Cuir de russie (tied) 11, Epicia 10, GIT 9, Royal english leather 8, Orange spice 7, Vanisia 6, Royal oud 5, Vervaine narcisse 4, Bois de Santal 3, Cypres musc 2, Acier aluminium 1, Green valley / selection vert (tied) ha
Whether one dislikes the brand or the way they operate or not, one has to admit that what Olivier Creed & Pierre Bourdon created (as well as Julien Rasquinet and Jean-Christophe Hérault) is a line of fragrances that is basically the perfect entry into niche - they are super versatile and wearable, (mostly) unique, very mass appealing whilst still feeling special and ‘niche’, and cover just about every situation one could find themselves in. I would argue that on scent profile alone, one could make a solid argument for Creed having one of the strongest men’s fragrance lines of any brand… ever. I think if the quality was still what it used to be, the prices were a bit more reasonable, and certain things had been handled differently on the business end with Pierre Bourdon etc… it would probably be my favourite brand to be honest (in terms of what I actually like to wear). Money aside, I could happily wear nothing but vintage-quality Creed for the rest of my life and be perfectly happy with that. P.s. Viking (and Viking Cologne for that matter) is underrated and overhated. Love the stuff. 🙌🏻
Finally some love for Original vetiver. Only Vetiver to use all 3 parts of the vetiver and also just versatile and enjoyable, slept on hard in Creed's lineup. For me its a top 5. 5) Royal Oud, 4) Bois Du Portugal 3) Viking 2) Original Vetiver 1) Original Santal. This is just based off my skin chemistry and the performance and feeling I get from all of them. SMW I love but I prefer Mephisto. MI would be top 5 if it just performed well, but its great as a top layer. GIT is just outdone by Chez Bond. Aventus is just outdone by Hacivat and so many others at this point.
Man I smelled that creed viking at my local Dillards. Thanks for putting me on, it smelled amazing! Definitely can’t pay the 475$ retail price but I’ll definitely find it. Best cologne I’ve smelled so far.
So funny how Royal Oud has "maybe a little bit of oud" lol but yes the dry woody spice is perfect description. I've sampled that, Viking, and Green Irish Tweed. Viking was my favorite. Original Vetiver might be next from how you described it.
New to the frag world but Creed for me is perfection, all my new bottles have been long lasting especially Aventus & Aventus Cologne i can still smell them on clothing 24 hours after spraying, millesime imperial seems to be my weakest, and viking in the middle. Have Santal, Silver Mountain and Virgin Island OTW.. #ObsessedWithCreed
Great review Justin! Original Santal is my baby! From a unisex perspective, I agree with most your scent list. I also love Pure White and White Amber for myself and the layering of Himalaya and Original Bond 9 for my husband. It's so sexy. ❤ Off topic, What are your thoughts of Le Labo The Noir 29? I'm having a love/hate relationship with it. I don't like the opening, but I love the dry down! 😁
Ah my favorite niche house! I have to admit I haven’t gotten my nose on as many niche and Indie houses as you guys (fragrance reviewers). I’m actually wearing Aventus Cologne today since it’s so dang humid and warm today in North Carolina. Wow I really wish I liked Royal Oud better. There is something I really like about it however I assume it’s the Oud that I pick up on that I just don’t dig. I hear some reviewers say they get more sandlewood than Oud but to my nose I’m getting a slight skanky type of smell so I don’t wear it too much Great list though!
I tried aventus, the black bottle one and the #11 one at Nordstrom a while back the colognes are over hyped too me especially for the price tag. It’s not unique at all
Haha, I believe you’ve asked me something similar before! To me, GIT is better than all of its similar scents. As I think I’ve mentioned before, if you know you love GIT, then it’s worth saving for. It’s ok that you can’t buy it right now, maybe you can buy it in a few months if you can put some money aside each week or something
@@stayfreshproductions Yes. I'm glad you remember me and my comments from amongst literally hundreds of thousands! I do love GIT, the problem is that it's way out of my budget. I'm in a point in my life that I save for cheapies, literally, like CW and Tres Nuit 😂 So if I had to choose between the two? Which is better in your experience, they are not available for testing nor sampling.
Does the Santal smell like a mature old man cologne? I got the original creed and it's pleasent. I tried the spring mountain and it smelled quite nice with the top notes but after 15 minutes it smells nothing but old lady, that's the problem with such an old brand they use dated scents and it quite literally is the exact note for note smell of some high end skincare or hand lotion my grandma that was 90 used. Total turn off to say the least.
Im really liking the Original Santal over viking by ALOT. Aventus at 3 is expected. Royal Oud is kinda meh for me, I sampled it before and it came off as dry and smokey on top of the Oud so it wasn’t that appealing. But I have not sampled the vetiver one yet I need to try it out!
I almost forgot about vetiver geranium, been a long time since I've heard it mentioned, ended up not buying it because it reminded me of Calvin klein's Eternity.
10. Virgin Island Water. 9. Silver Mountain Water 8. Erolfa 7. Original Santal 6. Bois Du Portugal 5. Miliseme Imperial 4. Green Irish Tweed 3. Adventus Cologne 2. Viking Cologne 1. Spice and Wood
If the original viking was $100 for 100ml , I would buy 5. of those a year. Sadly it's overpriced like most Creed. Anyone know of a good alternative or dupe ?
@@stayfreshproductions I've smelled a sample of it and it's really amazing but it's steep as far as the price though. Haven't decided if to pull the trigger
Apart from Royal Oud. My order is the complete opposite. Which goes to show that no two noses are the same, that and the fact that you have been in the fragrance game for a long time and have thousands of bottles, while I have a collection of 75 and will likely only get to 80 by the end of 2024. There's levels to this and I'm a neophyte to your heavyweight.
Virgin Island Water during spring/summer is a home run compliment machine. Always got a bottle rigged and ready in my collection
I was gonna say the same thing. I was waiting for it
Same for me, kept waiting for it. Absolutely love that fragrance, never disappoints.
Other than aventus I normally wear virgin island water, it’s a home run every time.
It needs to be layered with LV afternoon swim
Royal oud is def #1 aventus is amazing too for spring and summer. One of the best warm weather fragrances ever created
If you like Royal oud try Houbigant Bois Mystique. It's better in my opinion. The dry down is awesome!
The Pause at aventus 😅😅 classic
😆 Ain’t no words needed. Good to see you my friend
This video was for the frag heads!

Original Vetiver is so underrated
One of my favorites. 👍
It's my personal favorite.

I’ve got Himalya as my favorite, what are your thoughts on this scent?
It’s very nice. Just did a giveaway a couple months ago and gifted a bottle of it to a viewer.
My favorite is actually aventus cologne
YES !!!
The 2 Creeds that I own are your # 1 & # 2 in that order are my favorites too…
Love royal water myself. Royal mayfair is amazing though. Great list.
The Fragrance Apprentice just had a stroke seeing Millesime Imperial at 9.
Same. Imperial Gold bottle hits different!!

Aventus my all time favorite
My gf likes it so its a win win for me😂
Agree with the first 2 in order for sure…. I don’t own many creed fragrances anymore… your top 7 would all be in my top 7 though.
SMW is tops. Compliments have confirmed it as well for me.
👌🏾
Yes, finally someone who appreciates Viking. Its a great fragrance that gets a lot of disrespect for no reason
I ordered a creed silver mountain sample, nice scent but weak doesn't last and hardly smell it.
Cannot agree more with royal oud being #1. I love it so much, just wish creed had better performance especially for their price.
Sental is a beast. Easily one of the most complimented creeds or cologns period in my arsenal.
I love it too!!
Silver mountain water is great in cold winter
Good job🙌🏽🤩

Any clones of these beside the Aventus and the smw?? Asking for a friend
I don't have any good clones to offer, sorry
No word to aventus 😂 that was genius
Where do you get the money from to buy all these expensive fragrances?!
I didn’t buy them all at once. It’s been over many years.
Royal Oud is fantastic, but I always spray on 1/2 hour before going out. The mid and dry down is better than opening.
For me, I better like the opening 😂
🤔 .. tbh I’ve only ever had samples of creed! I may invest in a bottle this summer
Jardín d’amalfi is unisex but one of the best things I’ve ever smelled.
What do you think of Eurpha?
You mean Erolfa?
Lol yes I do. 🤷
Creed royal oud is my favorite I need a bottle, it cost too much. I get the oil from the mall
