The old ones are by far the best. It was great when DLR did it and still stands up now. Just good time rock and Stevie Vai and Sebastian Bach still got it 😀🎸🎸
Just ran across this while going down a yt rabbit hole. Grinning ear to ear, watching this & reading through the comments. A nice Sun afternoon treat.🎸
The Steve Vai's genius is to imitate the Sebastian Bach's voice "looking for his microphone" before the beginning of the song which is precisely built on this conversation between the singer and the guitar. A great moment. Amazing
What a performance form Steve. He will go down in history as one of the best. Hendrix Eddie Vai Joe so many great guitar players so many unknown who are just as good but that's the way the cookie crumbles ! I was lucky enough to see the eat'm n smile tour F**King AMAZING ! ! ! !
These old rockers deserve respect. They were giants in their time. Even today, few of their contemporaries demonstrate equal talent. Go back another decade or two, and the talent discrepancy increases even more. Think singers like Robert Plant, or even guitar players like Les Paul or Chet Adkins. Few people today can do what they did then even with all of the best gear that was unimaginable for them. A very rare few modern musicians still have that magic, but too few. Most of the best aren't even trying to become famous. They are studio musicians who just want to pay the bills and be sure bread is on the table everyday. Modern hero level musicians who get zero recognition and you wouldn't know from Jack if you met them on the street.
great unbelievable lineup. Sebastian, Akira and Steve! where can you see this... i'm jealous if you were there!! (but next year i am on The KISS Kruise 10... haha)
Bach is still incredible.
Vai .... just a virtuoso as always. He nails everything he plays effortlessly
Vai still playing it like on the record 35 years later. Dude is a badass
One the greatest. Dude is sick.
Killin it 🤟🏼
He just plays so effortlessly, like the Guitar God that he is.
I was thinking that. Steve is a living legend
Steve Vai is Steve Vai. Pure legend and a one of a kind virtuoso.
Akira Takasaki is still playing in japan or anywhere in the world !!
LOUDNESS is still allive !!
Eat em and smile is an amazing album.
Criminally underrated
Venkman44 100% the best guitar bass and drums album that year.
You're damn right. Aged very well too, unlike 5150 with those computerized drums. Eat 'Em and Smile has character.
I agree, I listened to the complete album yesterday, as I always do when changing the strings on my guitars.
"big trouble" is my favorit track 🤘
ヴァイと堂々と弾き合える高崎を誇りに思う⚡️
Holy shit! Just noticed Akira Takasaki on stage at the end of Yankee Rose.
Loudness!
Mind was blown when I noticed that too....and Sebastian singing Loudness for a sec!!! Hell yeah, this was a wormhole I'm glad I went down.
MCA
Yeah, I just realized that too, near the end of the Yankee Rose, that was Akira Takasaki. Cool !
@@jeepreworked6388 Thats when I realized it. Too bad we can't hear his guitar
Bach is such a badass. And DLR did some of his best songs with Vai & Sheehan.
When Akira is your rhythm guitarist, your band might be loaded with talent.
nobody Fucks with Steve Vai
Akira Takasaki from Loudness!!!!!!!
Playin' a Killer guitar!
He is a great guitarist.
Awesome! I should've recognized the star guitar with a Dano headstock

I love it when he sings that little snippet of Loudness. :D
Cool that Sebastian fit in Crazy Nights at the end since Akira is on guitar too.
The old ones are by far the best. It was great when DLR did it and still stands up now. Just good time rock and Stevie Vai and Sebastian Bach still got it 😀🎸🎸
Sebastian is still an amazing vocalist and Steve Via is just phenomenal on guitar.
Wow! What a treat to find this on my RUclips feed! Phenomenal performance from a stage of amazing musicians.

"YOU WANNA HEAR SOME MORE DIAMOND DAVID LEE ROTH???!?" ....Well, sure, if you're the one singing it, Sebastian.
Oh sh!t!!....Sebastian was singing LOUDNESS! CRAZY NIGHTS
Yeah, that was a really cool little interlude! Well placed from Sebastian.

Killing versions.😀 \m/ Vai will always have it...and great to see Seb still sounding as awesome as ever!☺
This is the best version I’ve seen. Brilliant stuff.
Hey! That’s Akita Takasaki tearing it up! Total badass and very underrated!

People forget that sebastian was one of the best ever rock singers.
@Mark Gibson the dude has like a five octave range.
Well,he's washed up now...lol
@@nicolassosolic3760 yeah hes just a loser like you now.
He still sounds better than a lot of so-called rock singers of today. Shows how good he USED TO BE. He sounds better here than he has in awhile.

Jeremy Dooley Philip Bynoe!
I was a little skeptical at first how it was going to sound, but it turned out GREAT.
CHEERS
This is fantastic. Love eat em and smile. Such a great album
How about Sebastian Bach droppin' lyrics from Loudness' Crazy Nights @ 4:02? That was bad ass
Fucking Awesome playing with is tongue...The guitar evolution Chuck Berry, Jimmy Hendrix, Ed Van Halen, Steve Vai...All are awesome great music
That chick singing is one heck of a beast!
Man, “Shyboy” kicks some ass! My favorite live version is Mr. Big from San Francisco in ‘92 I think!
Hey Arika Takasaki of Loudness is in there as well. Hot Dog Awesome man!

Philip Bynoe is a beast on Bass!
Akira Takasaki!
They are rocking
As a Steve Vai, DLR and Skid Row fan... This made my day.
I'd love to see a collab between Seb and Steve. A heavier edge, and Steve's 7 string :D
That was friggen awesome 💖
Wow! Blown away!
the bass player was looking at him like 'umm okay, the song is over now' lol
Haven't seen Akira in a while. That was a true treat

Bach sounds amazing!!
Didn't anyone catch the Loudness verse Bach sang towards the end there???? Cmon now
Crazy nightsss!
i must say Sebastian Bach sounds really great here
I was surprised how good. I heard he couldn't sing anymore...sounded good to me...this was almost 7 years ago but still...
"Looks like we got a couple pretenders to the throne" ..... Lived up to Daves drunken quote to Sebastian and Axl way back when.
great cameo there at 04:00 Sebastian singing a bit from a Loudness song 😁😁☝🏼☝🏼
Incredible, a guitar battle with Vai vs. Takasaki!!
Camera guy singing sounds like Lieutenant Data.
Akira is a awesome!
This album rocks so hard.
Thought I was watching the end of Crossroads for a minute!😂
Jack Butler cuttin some heads!
Thick atmosphere of rock 'n roll here! 🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼
Seb est dévastateur !

Kudos to that Bass player!!
Philip Bynoe
Let's just gloss over Akira Takesaki!
Nice to see the signature Carvin Legacy! that axefx is just for effects I’m seeing more tubes again like Petrucci’s Mesa Mark V
Dude still burns inside like he did when he was 28 years old

bass player is a monster
Awesome underrated song
Sebastian Bach seems like a tool but he’s an amazing frontman that can actually sing.
Excellent!
Sebastian is kicking ass here. Sounds better than just about any other rock singer his age.
Cept Udo maybe. That guy sound exactly the same as the 80's - high notes included.
Finally someone on stage that is as tall as Vai. Vai probably loves that the singer actually knows the words and can sing in pitch.
You’ve clearly never seen any boots from the two tours Vai did with Roth. He was on point start to finish on those tours.
Vai proving yet again that no one else is on his level.
Que elegancia Steve!!!! Love u
They should have an eat them and smile tour with Sebastian singing
タッカンがいてビックリしたw
Sebastian needs to make a covers record .
B-Side Ourselves by Skid Row
DLR & Sebastian Bach on same stage. Be still my heart!
Man that was fucken good and fun. . You can tell they had a couple of shots in them. Hahahahaha. Awesome.
Akira Takasaki
AMAZING....VAI
One of the most underrated songs. Can't believe in Rock Band hasn't done a great rendition of itaround the 4th of July. Maybe Godsmack lol.
this makes me miss DLR

Steve is flawless as usual
A little bit of Crazy nights... Loudness

*Akira from Loudness, Steve Vai, & Sebastian from Skid Row..... I never imagined 30+ years ago this would be possible!*
this right here. Soooooo good.
But nobody mentions the bassist. He hangs too! But who is he?
freddy ferrillo That’s Philip Bynoe. Look him up. Great bassist.
just shows you how great a front man DLR was.
Wow, that is some strange logic
