Thanks for the tutorial. I have the same bass and switched to Wilkinson Alnico Y pickups. My Fender Affinity Jazz V is made in Indonesia, along with my Indonesian Sting Ray Ray4 which I upgraded to Aguilar pickup and preamp. Both basses play great.
@@diegoramirez4921Warm, like a '60s. I love it. Even the sound is fat, it cuts very well. I played in church last week through the PA, and was watching the video of the service, and the bass sounds great.
You can check the video link in the description, Fender Japan are now using PTPs, yes you can find some cheap leftover/stolen items in local e-commerce because the factory is in Indonesia. Ptp provides wide range pickup quality. As you can see the conductor wires in this pups are pushback cloth wire. Definitely not for cheap basses. Besides, affinity Jbass uses ceramic magnet pickups instead.

The alnico seem a bit more clear
Not a major difference to my ears
And yes not many bass videos about ceramic vs alnico
I find this very helpful. Great job ✌

In the last 2 minutes of your video, you finally answer your question. For the first almost 5 minutes you’re wasting everyone’s time.
